Cozy Getaway - Perfect for a Small Family! My family of five recently enjoyed a wonderful one-night stay at this cabin. It was the perfect size for us, offering a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The absolute highlights were the outdoor amenities! We spent a lovely evening gathered around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was another fantastic perk – so relaxing to soak under the stars after a day of exploring. Overall, it was a fantastic short escape. The cabin provided everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay, and the fire pit and hot tub really added that extra special touch. Highly recommended for couples or small families looking for a relaxing getaway!

I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful getaway weekend! The cabin itself is bright and beautiful and the host was incredibly responsive. Stargazing in the hot tub was absolutely the highlight!

What a sweet charming little cabin. I was with two long time friends from high school and we had such a nice time in this cozy place set in the woods. We had everything we needed to stay in and cook and in the day we visited a few wineries. We made a great fire in the evening and just relaxed. It was a perfect place for catching up and just enjoying nature. The only recommendation I would have is to add a chair or 2 in the living room, as there was only one couch for sitting. We pulled in one of the outside table chairs and that worked fine. If you'd like to escape the real world for a bit, stay at Bradley's cabin, you'll be happy you did.

I loved the space inside and outside. The home is spacious, exceeding expectations, and very comfortable. A peaceful and serene rural setting. The only disappointment was how short my stay was.

Love Ridge Mountain Lodging really was wonderful! A perfect, private getaway for relaxing after a long day skiing at the nearby Wintergreen Resort!

This cabin is one of the coolest cabins we've ever stayed in! Honestly, the pictures don't quite do it justice. So much character and charm...and the kitchen had brand new, retro-looking appliances that had just been installed and just added to the whole experience! My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend for the weekend so we could celebrate her birthday and they loved it, too. We've been to Lexington a lot over the years and always enjoy walking around downtown, going to Virginia Safari Park and going to to the drive in movie theater. We're planning on going back when the weather is warmer and we can get out on the river. Betsy is a wonderful host and I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. If you're looking for a cozy, cool cabin that gives you some privacy, but is still close to Lexington, this cabin needs to be on your list! Betsy, thanks for everything!

This was a trip I got for my parents (in their 50s) and they had a wonderful time despite the weather being less than ideal (super rainy). When they got home they were happy and excited to share the adventure. Even went as far as to say they saw a glimpse of what their retirement could look like. So, I highly recommend as a gift to someone who enjoys the peace and serenity of the outdoors with someone they love (or go with you and your loved one if you enjoy that stuff as well)

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

The house is clean and comfortable, combining the off-the-grid feel of a peaceful cabin in the woods with all the comforts of modern life. A great home-away-from-home while we explored the history, natural beauty and good food that central Virginia has to offer. We especially enjoyed exploring the trail from the cabin down to the Rockfish River.

We lived out stay at Turtle Brook Farms. It was private and secluded. The host was responsive. She gave instructions for checkin as well as recommendations. There was no WiFi which we were looking for to have an unplugged weekend. There was also spotty service/none, but again, what we wanted. The host offered us to use the WiFi and kitchen at the main inn if needed. They provided firewood and everything to start a fire. We lived our stay and look forward ti our next weekend getaway!

I had a great stay! Such a cozy, safe feeling in the quaint cabin. I found it extremely relaxing and I was able to decompress. The surrounding were also very peaceful. I had an amazing view of the sunsets every night. All the appliances worked great, including the stove. The check in and out was extremely easy and all of my communication with the host was very friendly and responded to right away. I hope to be back, thank you so much!

Really amazingly beautiful property. The river views are stunning. Remote location but still modern amenities. Also the kitchen has enough to make almost anything there. We had a great time, would love an easier way to get to the water, but still enjoyed all the hiking available on the property. 10/10 will likely stay here again.

Amazing view that is very secluded up a mountain. Roads to get there can be dangerous in inclement weather.

The cabin was exactly as described. The area was so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed the kayaks that were provided and used them a bunch on the creek. We would highly recommend this place if you want to get away from it all.

The cottage was very quaint, clean, great location and perfect for dog owners! Our pups loved the outside area and creek. Close to Wintergreen for skiing, and we also visited breweries and the Blue Ridge tunnel trail nearby. The cottage was warm with plenty of open room space despite its small size. The heater warmed up the place quickly, the stove and kitchen appliances were great as well. Would stay again- highly recommend!

This cabin was beautiful! The interior was gorgeous with elegant and quality furnishings. The house was well stocked with many items which was so nice. The views and setting were stunning! Every window and door gave you majestic views of mountains and wildlife! The porch as AMAZING as was the fire-pit! To top it off there is a trampoline which I enjoyed channeling my inner child all with Mountain View’s! The hiking trail was exceptionally well done which we enjoyed. The hosts were amazing in responses and help and the welcome touches were so appreciated. What a way to celebrate retirement! We will be back!

Pieter and Jenna's place was ideal for us after a day of hiking. Peaceful, quiet and close to the AT. Price was very reasonable in comparison to others and it was not a hotel. We just needed an overnight quiet place to sleep, make dinner and breakfast and back on the trail and then back home. Our goal was not to hang out, but it might have been nice to use or bring a Solo Stove Fire Pit. Their place was VERY clean, looked new, easy check in and check out. Not a big fridge or microwave but worked just fine for our needs. There is no door between the bathroom/laundry room and the bedroom, just small swinging saloon doors. Which is fine, as long as you understand that you don't have the kind of privacy you may be used to at home. All-in-all, it was a nice place to stay and would come back again.

Couldn’t recommend enough! A perfect place to disconnect and spend time surrounded by nature and fun loving farm animals. Will be returning for sure!

We loved our stay at Maryam’s cabin. She was very accommodating and helpful with changes due to snowy weather and always responded quickly. The backyard is incredible. It backs up to a creek running alongside the base of a mountain. My kids played outside all afternoon! The fire pit was a perfect space to spend time with family while watching the kids play. There was plenty of space inside and everything was nicely decorated and furnished. The beds and pillows are firm but good quality. We will definitely be back!

Spending a week at Melody's little cabin in the woods was one of the best Airbnb experiences we've had. It's clearly a labour of love - comfortable, spotlessly clean, simply but beautifully decorated with lots of personal touches. Melody had thought of everything: plenty of wood for the fire pit and wood burning stove, store cupboard provisions, chocolate, books about the local area and wildlife. We didn't come across any bears, but it was exciting to see wild turkeys, red cardinals, deer and a beaver - and the woods in springtime were wild and beautiful. We look forward to returning one day.

Every year we go we remember why we return, the tranquility and relaxation everything is in that place, some time we back 2 or 3 time at year
