The room was very clean, there were some bugs (both alive and dead) at check in but you're staying in a tropical country so what do you expect. The gap under the door is also pretty big so I'd recommend covering it at night or while you're away so nothing gets in (we had a wolf spider pop its head in under the door and say hello) but once again, it's a tropical country, you're going to deal with that everywhere. The location is good, the walk to the beach is maybe 5 minutes and the center of town is probably 10. We didn't use the pool, it's pretty small but we were here for the beach anyway so we didn't mind.

Nicko and his wife are a delight. Very responsive. The Calipso is a wonderful little oasis. The air conditioning works wonderfully. The pool is refreshing. There are many little places to relax with hammocks. It is a little more rustic as far as location and a few rough roads on the way there, but worth it! Playa Avellana is a very tiny town but once you figure out where everything is it’s great. The Calipso is right by restaurants, yoga/barre studio and an organic grocer. It is a surf town so I recommend lessons if you have not surfed before. Everything was clean and as shown in pictures. We loved our stay!

Arthur is a great host, and makes a stellar breakfast too! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be close to the hustle and bustle of tamarindo, but in the peace and quiet of this lovely place!

C'est un endroit très chaleureux, déjeuner excellent et le personnel souriant,très aimable et accueillant. Ma chambre et les lieux communs sont nettoyés avec soins. Je suis à ma 3 ieme fois à cette endroit car c'est un endroit sécurisant. En face de la plage de Coco, restaurant typique et épicerie près. Je recommande fortement.

Incredible! Our honeymoon could have been in a more peaceful and relaxing place. The staff is amazing and kind. We’ll be back to enjoy this wonderful slice of heaven. Thank you Eduardo and Sonia for be excellent hosts. Lily is a great chef who makes the breakfast every morning with so much love and delicious ingredients. Each day we looked for to our morning walks on the beach and the. relaxing on the thoughtful and cozy daybed reading and enjoying the spectacular view footsteps away. Sunsets are to die for!

We loved our weekend stay! Maureen and her family were very welcoming. The breakfast was incredible. Located very close to the national park, so it was great for our hiking weekend. The room was bare bones, but precisely what we needed, especially great for the price!

Great accommodation. Place looks super cool. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Augustin was a great host. It’s not the most quiet place at night, but we’ve got some earplugs with us.

We absolutely loved this place! It’s quiet, peaceful and super safe. The hustle and bustle of Tamarindo is just far enough away.. The breakfast was also fantastic and the honor bar was a great feature. Will definitely be back…

Everything was great during our stay. The location is perfect, near the beach, supermarket and restaurants. The room has everything you will probably need, also the shared kitchen is well equiped. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast was definitely the best part of our stay.

De los mejores Airbnbs en los que me he quedado! El lugar es privado, tranquilo y zen. La habitación cómoda exactamente como se ve en las fotos. Damiano y su pareja son hosts muy hospitalarios y agradables, sirven un buen desayuno en la mañana. De seguro que voy a volver!

Haus sieht aus wie beschrieben. Check in war einfach. Zimmer war klein aber fein. Frühstück war mit inbegriffen (Obst, Toast, Saft) Leider etwas laut durch den Straßenverkehr aber dafür kann ja niemand etwas.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt. Gerne wieder. Uns wurde sehr viel geholfen und erklärt wo man gut essen kann. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Die Lage ist gut um an den Strand zu gelangen ca. 4 Minuten zu Fuß. Der Pool war sehr sauber.

Convenient place for a quick stop in Liberia. Andrea was very easy to communicate with and had good local recommendation. They are doing some remodeling, so the yard and some other places were a little rough looking but everything was functional.
