Limón Province : locations de vacances en maison d'hôtes

Nos encontramos con un lugar hermoso donde compartimos un fin de semana acompañado de perros y naturaleza, un lugar acogedor para ir en grupo o en pareja muy espacioso en la cocina equipada para preparar lo que nos gusta... Aun siendo pequeño para explorar, la compañía de los perros y lo hermoso de la vegetación hacen muy amena la estadía en un clima donde aunque hace frio la casa conserva muy bien el calor... Nos encantó el lugar

Estuvimos muy a gusto aqui. La habitacion es bonita, la cama comoda y grande, la cocina compartida esta bien equipada, y la piscina es bastante grande y bonita. Nos encantaron los arboles gigantes que nos regalaron sombra mientras estabamos en la piscina o relajando en el jardin. Por la noche no habia mucho ruido. Los anfitriones nos parecieron muy agradables.

Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía en lo de Jessica y Luis. No sólo por lo lindo y tranquilo de la propiedad, sino también por la buena onda y disposición de Jessica y su familia. La propiedad es lindisima y está ubicada en un barrio muy lindo y tranquilo. Los pájaros, monos y el mar son parte de la vista y de los sonidos constantes. El bungalow es muy cómodo y tiene todo lo justo y necesario. Y lo que no tengas, Jessica y Luis siempre atentos a ayudar en lo que necesiten!!

Es war super bei Karin und Markus, auch weil sie unsere Sprache sprechen und uns die komplette Pflanzenwelt im Garten gezeigt und erklärt wurde. Auch waren die Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit und um uns bemüht. Die Hütte war sehr schön und die Hunde ganz lieb. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die kleine Kaffeeecke und der Kühlschrank waren sehr praktisch. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

My partner and I had an amazing experience here. The accommodations are simple but plenty comfortable, and the property is incredible. The managers Tarky and Nicole showed us around the property (so much space, epic mountain views, so much food growing!), took us on a tour of the biological reserve next door (amazing organization, epic waterfalls and real jungle trails without tourists), and made us really good "comida tipica" for just a few bucks per meal. It was nice to have access to the kitchen, too. If you're looking for a quiet place to go deep with the land, experience the jungle/mountains and have a taste of the Costa Rican countryside, this is it. We also went home with a bag of coffee from the coffee plants outside our room and it's the best I've had in a long, long time!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica, the whole week was special in different ways but the 4 days/3 nights we spent in Cahuita at Nona's Casita Lulu was probably my favourite part. The property is so conveniently close to shopping, the national park, beaches, etc but still feels private. Having a well equipped kitchen and refrigeration allowed us to prepare and enjoy all our fresh finds from the farmers market. Having morning coffee and meals, doing yoga or chilling in the hammocks under the Rancho was amazing whether it was bright sunshine or pouring rain. I personally hate AC so the fact that all the windows are screens and I constantly got fresh air flow and the sound of rain and wildlife made for beautiful sleeps in the loft; the comfort of being in bed but feeling like you're outside in nature. I very much hope to return someday and would absolutely stay with Nona again!

If you want a beautiful, tranquil place to stay, Cabinas Orosi is for you. I have stayed elsewhere in Orosi and roosters and motorcycles have woken me, but at Fredy and Franziska's cabina, street noise is not a problem. They have created a lovely oasis set just back enough to make you feel you are in a private garden but close enough to the center of the city to walk to grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants. The cabina itself is charming, clean, and tastefully decorated. Great hosts and a great place.

This open design space is a stand alone building within the gated family complex. The hosts are very personal- it felt like visiting friends more than being renters. We felt so safe there we didn’t even lock the door when we left for the day. Pool and terrace were great. We benefited from the hosts suggestions on the local area. We loved our stay, but since the host family lives on site and has dogs, if you are seeking complete seclusion, or are afraid of dogs, you may not enjoy as much as we did.

Stayed a month with partner and young child. Wonderful mornings spent watching the most incredible wildlife from the balcony. The apartment is small, clean and pleasant. It requires a few additions to make it excellent, but still it was very good. Rodolfo the co host made us feel and ease and and home. great communication and shared a lot of loa knowledge. Its close enough to the action but also secluded in the jungle. Recommended

Wir waren sehr zufrieden in der Unterkunft und haben uns bei Mar wohlgefühlt. Mar war immer offen für Fragen und hatte stets Empfehlungen parat. Trotz der Nähe zur Stadt, hatte man, bis auf die Geräusche des Jungles, seine Ruhe und konnte die Natur genießen. Danke, Mar für deine Gastfreundschaft!

Do Not Stay Here if you are not interested in living a good life. William, Leandra and team went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We stayed here with 2 littles for 1 week which flew by so fast. The lodge was clean and equipped with everything we needed. From the daily epic sunrise that we got to watch directly from the bedroom window and the back porch, to access to rivers with water falls. There are also hiking/running trails, many varieties of fruit trees, beautiful cows, delicious teas made from fresh leaves grown on the farm. We enjoyed daily fishing at the pond from which we cleaned and cooked our catches. We could not ask for a better place to spend our vacation. True definition of luxury surrounded by nature, so peaceful it was emotional in our last day. Pictures doesn't do this location justice... you have to experience it. We will be back for sure!

Punta Uva is a magnificent part of Costa Rica, with some of the most beautiful beaches you can imagine. Brits property is located in a perfectly balanced area where it's developed enough to have good utilities and features, and is right across the street from an incredible beach, all while still feeling quiet and safe. We are two parents with a 4.5 year boy and between the modern living spaces, the abundant wildlife around and the incredible places to visit around, this is one of our all time favorite vacation and vacation rentals. One of the highlights was a sloth that wondered through the yard. Note that the property itself is shared with 3 other vacation rentals, but the unit we rented feels the most private, facing back towards the jungle.

David war der perfekte Gastgeber, kümmert sich freundschaftlich um seine Gäste und um deren Wohlbefinden. Sogar der gesamte Strand wird von David bei seinem morgendlichen Spaziergang mit dem Hund "tress" von Müll befreit. Das Haus wird autonom mit Regenwasser und Solarstrom ohne Probleme betrieben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der ruhigen Ferienwohnung sehr genossen, besonders die ausgedehnten Spaziergänge am Strand bis in das angrenzende Naturschutzgebiet.

Len and Vani’s place was such a dream to stay at, absolute paradise. The house looked exactly as pictured and was very clean. It was great to be able to relax in the hot tub and pool and we loved waking up to the sounds of the jungle each day. They also have the two sweetest dogs, and their pup Reina always lovingly greeted us whenever we would return from our daily adventures. Communication was excellent. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation! Thanks so much Len & Vani!

This was the perfect place with great hosts. Very clean and a great layout for a couple. Close to Uvita, but tucked up in the forested hills. The back deck is very secluded and looks out over the forest. Blue morpho butterflies always sailing past, and I logged close to 60 species of birds in three days from the property. One morning, we were awoken by howler monkey’s which was wonderful. The hosts gave us great recommendations for a secluded beach. We cannot recommend highly enough.

This was truly a gem. What a beautiful place. My kids loved the pool. The host suggested a tour and took care of everything. We would definitely come again.

Sonia y su esposo fueron muy amables y amigables, se comunicaron constantemente para nuestra llegada y fueron flexibles con el chek-in! El apartamento fué tal cual las fotos, lo que necesitábamos! Viene totalmente equipado para las necesidades básicas! La ubicación excelente para las cataratas, miradores y fincas que queríamos conocer en Turrialba! Recomendado!

Eida and Ricardo are very kind and attentive hosts, and are very responsive to the guest’s needs. The space for the guest was as expected. The street has a very steep incline and is about a 20-30 minute walk to the main bus stations in downtown San Isidro de El General, but makes up for that by bringing surrounded by beautiful views of the surrounding nature. For me, I love walking around so this was not a problem at all. Highly recommend if you love walking and being surrounded by nature!

We really enjoyed staying in the Castle in the Jungle! the sunsets and storm watching was perfect from the balcony. We really liked the location as it is close to both Dominical and Uvita with Dominical being a bit closer. It is on the north side of the road construction, which worked well for our purposes. You can hear a bit of the road noise, but it isnt that loud. The monkeys and jungle sounds mostly block it out. The space has everything you need, although it is very cozy. We appreciated having a washer and dyer. Overall, A great stay and Jim and Amy were great hosts!

rita was super nice and welcoming. the place has a nice little pool that the kids enjoyed very much. and sitting on the couch looking at all the greenery was great. the house has extra small things that helped, like usb splitters to charge all our phones (our appliances aren't with the local plug, so that helped a lot). the television is only in one room though. and can't be seen from the living space. if you decide on ojochal, i definitely recommend Rita's place. aside from that, about the location. it is quiet and pretty, but ojochal was a bit problematic for us. some water, and electricity cut offs (didn't have water for half a day), and the main bridge to ojochal sometimes gets swept away by the rain, only to be rebuilt in a few hours. there is another longer way around though in case that happens

This place is very special; magical. The host cares a whole lot too, which really makes a difference. The setting by the river is unreal, the bed is comfortable, place is clean. The area is cute and has little attractions and beautiful cloudbridge rain forest.

Lovely place to begin a Costa Rican holiday, a few kms from Paraiso with a kitchen I could make a little meal and look out on the garden and grounds. Michael stayed up late to give me the keys and answered questions about the area quickly. After traveling the hot shower was most appreciated and the Wi-Fi was strong. Very comfortable bed although in a hot spell a fan would be nice. They have dogs but they are within their part of the property not accessing the Casita. A very relaxing home base for a couple of days! Plus a small world connection which was fun.
