Thank you for a peaceful retreat in the most beautiful surroundings. Tonteldoos should be on everybody's bucket list, despite the awful roads, which is not the proprietor's responsibility . The orads are quite an adventure !

Our stay at this Romantic Bush Studio near Kruger National Park was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Cliff, our wonderful host, who was super nice and extremely helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed and even shared great tips for making the most of our trip. The studio itself was beautiful, perfectly blending luxury with nature. The private pool was a dream—perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. Waking up to the sounds of wildlife and enjoying our morning coffee with breathtaking bush views made the experience even more magical. One of the highlights of our stay was the game drive around Kruger National Park. It was such an unforgettable experience, seeing Zebras 🦓 , Giraffe 🦒, Hippo 🦛, monkeys 🐒 , Impala , and so much more. Cliff made sure we had the best guides, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a romantic, peaceful, and luxurious getaway in the wild this is the perfect place!

An absolutely fantastic getaway! The Bungalow exceeded all expectations and provided the perfect escape from the city. The natural hot spring was undoubtedly the highlight—soaking in the 50°C mineral-rich water under the stars was an unforgettable experience. The property is beautifully secluded, offering complete privacy with stunning riverfront views, mountain scenery, and an abundance of birdlife. It’s the ideal place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy nature at its finest. The bungalow itself has a unique rustic Mediterranean-African charm, blending effortlessly with the natural surroundings. The braai and pizza oven were great additions, making outdoor cooking a pleasure. We also appreciated the fast WiFi, which worked even when there were temporary power trips (to clarify—there was no load shedding during our stay). A standout experience was the magical three-course meal Schalk arranged for us atop one of the nearby mountains.

Very beautiful place, that was very much worth the visit. For a winter visit, it had everything to keep us warm and toasty. We appreciated the staff. They were very friendly, helpful and considerate.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay, super quiet - the plunge pool was awesome for the warm weather. Everything was perfect for two people. Loved Ryan's decor. Very stylish

We stayed one night at Jakes' place and had a great time! He's super helpful and the accommodation is just as great as it is located. Highly recommended!

A true wild experience! The place is very well equiped and many animals visiting us during the day. Bushbucks, zebras, kudu, gnus, monkeys, pumbas, impalas…everyday we had many of them in our porch. Thank you very much rick for this amazing experience ☺️

Ein süßes kleines Häusschen mitten in der Natur und doch nur 5 Minuten von Graskop entfernt, was für ein Traum. Wir wurden sehr sehr freundlich begrüßt und haben uns gleich sehr nett unterhalten, während wir die entzückenden kleinen Äffchen in den Bäumen beobachten konnten. Das Haus ist toll ausgestattet, absolut sauber und hübsch eingerichtet. Die Fotos entsprechen der Realität, können aber nicht wiedergeben wie traumhaft schön es wirklich ist. Frühstücken kann man in der kleinen Pension "Zur alten Mine" (deutsches Pärchen), welche sich einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt befindet und mit 100 Rand ein tolles Frühstück mit guter Auswahl anbietet. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht bleiben konnten, denn es war wirklich toll und wir können es jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Übrigens auch wenn es mal kühler sein sollte, denn im Bett liegt sogar eine Heizdecke. Hier wurde an alles gedacht, damit man sich richtig wohlfühlen und erholen kann. My wife and I really enjoyed it, the nature is stunning with beautiful streams and dams to go walking. Maya our host was great and made sure we did not run out of firewood and that the cottage is clean. The upgrade to the taddy cottage was a real treat and we enjoyed the waterfall views and sound of water. Fishing was also great!
