Lions River : locations de vacances

Visiting from the UK, Angela the host gave clear directions & gate entry info. On arrival we were greeted with a thatch roof rondawel in the most serene & private surroundings. Felt so tranquil & peaceful looking out over her beautiful garden. The rondawel has a lovely rustic feel & was spotless with the little touches of tea, coffee, sugar & milk plus some delicious biscuits & a dram of Sherry! There’s a fire pit to enjoy looking up at the vast African sky & a swimming pool to enjoy by day. Vervet monkeys were busy foraging & little duikers came to visit. We stayed here 4 times during our visit we enjoyed it so much. Angela gave us tips on places to visit & eat & was so friendly during our stays. We will definitely be back!

Приватный домик, где за 3 дня мы не увидели никого, абсолютное уединение. Закупитесь едой на все дни, потому не захотите никуда ездить, так и магазинов рядом нет. Заповедники Хаймур и Камберг обязательны для посещения, на машине не более получаса до них. Большой бонус была ванна и свечи, идеальное расслабление после пеших прогулок. Заезжайте на 3-4 дня смело, а то и на неделю!

We booked Penny's place at the last minute and she was more than willing to assist us. The space is lovely, we enjoyed meals in the open plan kitchen with a view over the valley. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. The shower was piping hot and clean which was superb on a rainy cold weekend. Full dstv bouquet allowed us to enjoy the UCI XCO races. All in all, an incredibly pleasant weekend. Thanks Penny.

Tracy’s place is awesome, close to shops and restaurants, effortless check in, will definitely return.

Truly special place! Great for the soul! We had a wonderful family weekend away, great for boating (very easy access to the dam) and being in nature. Has everything you need. The giraffe at the balcony was the highlight!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The fresh eggs, milk and fruit was an added bonus. The fishing was top class. Awesome view of the dam and surroundings. We saw some amazing lighting storms and waking up to see the wild rabbits out front was a first for us. Will definitely be back again.

Such an incredible hidden gem that was so tastefully converted! This has definitely been a highlight on our trip and we could not recommend it enough. The food was so delicious!
