We booked Shana’s place and to be honest it exceeded our expectations. The location is pretty rural which is what we wanted and the street it is located on is well maintained you can tell everyone has pride of ownership and this place was no exception. Cottage was very purpose built and stocked from the hot tub to location of fan’s/ AC, lighting more than enough cooking supplies- abundant amount of pots and pans, utensils, rice cooker, crock pot etc. When we first arrived the kids were running around like a kid in a candy store, massage recliners in living room the outdoor kitchen with tv, hot tub and the closeness to the water… to admit me and the wife were doing the same. Hot tub nights, roasting marshmallows listening to the owls staring up at the stars with a daiquiri in the beautiful Lousiana swamp it doesn’t get much better. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!!! Book the experience now!

Awesome remote cottage on the Amite River; Three Islands River private area only accessible by Golf Cart or the like. Very dark at night in some corners of the path to the place. For future goers, plan to arrive daytime to maximize ease-of-access. Golf cart included in stay. It’s the first house by the tall light pole once you make it past the bridge and winding path. Close to New Orleans, Gonzales and Metairie. Dean was a great host, available for questions at any time.

My girls loved this place! The house had plenty of amenities, and the owner was very responsive with the few questions we had. Easy check in and Easy to find because the instructions are very clear and precise. Not to far to hit up New Orleans and Baton Rouge located right between them, and then get home to a peaceful location! Would definitely stay there again

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bigner Bungalow! It was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my husband. We ran into some issues with the hot tub and David was quick to respond and was there within the hour to get it fixed for us. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely stay again.

Casa Del Rio was a wonderful place to chill. The place was HUGE. I think all of us (6 women) were doing our makeup in the Master bathroom at once, its about the size of a large kitchen! The kitchen and family room are an open concept and located right off the hot tub & pool area, so that was great for social circulation. the house is VERY remote, but there are a couple really good local restaurants about 5 min away. There is a grocery store about 10 min away. We saw a gecko on the out side of the house, and an aligator in the river as soon as we got there! Chris, the host was very responsive, and even proactive about communication. He also had 2 other people (sub hosts?) that were ready to jump in and help if needed. wonderful stay.

First of all, the photos do not do justice. This home is stunning! The combination of amazing views from the decks/windows were phenomenal. The tranquility of being so close to the water was the perfect escape from the busy pace of everyday life. The home was equipped with everything we needed and we only left to buy extra snacks. We enjoyed lounging out on the deck watching the boats pass by and did a little fishing, spent so much of our time in the pool that we had forgotten about all of the game options/activities that were available in/outside of the home. Our nights were spent out on the swings by the fire pit, listening to music. Kacie and John were quick to respond with any questions that we had. The home was easy to get to, quiet, and very private. Plenty of room for everyone! Our first annual girls trip with a party of 6 had the best time and plan to visit again next year. I will recommend this home to everyone I know! Perfection!
