Lovely holiday cottage. Great facilities, especially the kitchen. Beautiful, quiet part of Scotland. We walked every day. Would recommend.

we had an amazing mini break at Balblair cottage. being greeted by 4 Highlands cows at the parking area was amazing. Matthew happened to pass on the first day as we were going into the house and he was keen to tell us about the cows and the property. Matthew was very helpful with any questions we had and was a tremendous host. can't wait to come back to the area as it has so many stunning walks for my dogs and family. 10/10

We had a fantastic 3 night stay. Welcome pack filled with essentials and also a goody bag for our dog Angus. The house is absolutely beautiful with great views surrounding. Amanda was amazing with responses whenever I had any questions. Will definitely be booking again in the future, absolutely loved it. Do not hesitate to book this place.

We had a lovely mini break for my mum's birthday, the accommodation was perfect. Peaceful and private with a great enclosed garden for my daughters to run around. Inside the accommodation was beautiful, very homely. We will definitely return in the future.

From start to finish this was a great place to stay. Very cosy and welcoming. There was a well appointed kitchen and very pleasant dining area, the garden was beautiful with a 'hot tub' which we didn't use and there were plenty of towels and a couple of bathrobes which we did use. Rosemarkie itself is a lovely village which we have visited many times and this house is 2 minutes from a super sandy beach. We would definitely like to stay there again in the future.

Outstanding! The cottage was perfect: from the views of the three lochs, the castle, and the surrounding countryside to the relaxing and private amenities and yard. We couldn’t be more pleased with the rental and especially the hosts Karen and Graham. We would highly recommend their 5-star property!

Brett was very responsive and really friendly. Her cottage was perfect and very cosy and a stones throw from the beach which our 3 hairy babies loved. We had everything we needed and the perfect weather was a bonus. Would definitely love to come back here - it’s so peaceful- thank you for our amazing stay

Great place with fantastic equipment and set up, good kitchen and social spaces, overall spot in but worth noting it is quite close to the railway line, not a huge issue as it's quite a quiet line. Overall great.

After a week of driving it was lovely to step into the cottage and feel immediately at home. Beautifully furnished and so cosy with the log fire - interesting artwork and books, well equipped kitchen and super comfy bed. Really appreciated the radio too. Lauren was super helpful and friendly and it was lovely to meet her. We had a fantastic Sunday lunch in The Old Bridge Inn (make sure to book as we saw a lot of people being turned away). Our only regret is that we didn't book for longer - will definitely be back. Thank you Lauren and Cat.

We had a lovely stay at Avril’s place. It was very clean and comfy. The rooms were large with plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were so grateful for the welcome hamper that was waiting for us. Really enjoyed the cozy fire on a chilly night! It’s a lovely walk to the beach and there were so many interesting things to see and do close by. We particularly enjoyed the lovely walk to St Mary’s Chapel which was not far away.

A fabulous wee cottage and the surrounding area was beautiful. Great base for hill walking and exploring everything Loch Ness has to offer. Kate was very informative from the very beginning, always quick to respond to any queries we had. Loved the welcome items and the little bag of goodies for our dog. Would definitely recommend this little cottage. Thanks again Kate for being so helpful 😃

Wir haben eine super Zeit hier verbracht, unsere Hunde werden den Garten vermissen. Ein super Startpunkt für viele Ausflüge und anschließend in die richtige ruhige Umgebung von Knockbain zurück kommen, traumhaft. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wieder kommen. Vielleicht ist das Wetter beim nächsten Mal nicht so schottisch 😅 Danke für alles

We stayed here for 5 nights but could’ve easily stayed much longer! It’s just such a nice place that really feels like home the minute you walk through the door. The room with the windows facing the sea is a great place to hang out, look out over the coast and watch all the birds fly by - grabbing your binoculars when you think you see something special :) Our 1,5 year old daughter really enjoyed the house too (she loved all the children’s books!). Bit challenging to keep her off the stairs but the multi-purpose fire guard worked a treat!

Plain and simple, this was THE best air b’n’b we have ever stayed in. Everything about it. The location and the club and grounds are just beyond stunning. Breathtaking views. Between the back view of the highland club facing Loch Ness to looking over your shoulder to see Loch Ness, just amazing. The cottage itself while not a part of the main building was perfect. All the amenities needed and plenty of space for the four of us. Waking up to the snow on the lawn outside was beautiful. The hamper on arrival was so helpful for our 3 nights there. The board games, fire place and sporting equipment was great. The games room and especially heated pool inside was amazing to relax and look out to the snowy mountains. Honestly, was sad to leave and could have stayed there another week! Worth every cent. Our two kids were in heaven.

I had a wonderful few days here with my husband and kids aged between 4 and 14. The house is beautiful, clean, well maintained and in an excellent location. It had everything we could need for our stay, and some! I only wish we had longer to visit. We would love to stay here again.

Had a lovely stay here. The home was very nice & clean. We walked to town through a little wooded path nearby. I would suggest getting reservations at restaurants in advance. Portree is a great central location when visiting Isle of Skye.

The view was incredible. We were looking for a peaceful location a little off of the main path and this was definitely it. The Isle of Skye is a wonderful landscape to explore and this is a great location to set out from while on the island. The hosts were very responsive and did a great job preparing the place for us. We had a great time! We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Had a brilliant time at Ken's, the cottage had everything you need and the location was perfect for exploring Assynt. Many of the furnishings are dated but this added to the charm of the place. Shower was powerful, Internet was surprisingly fast and bed comfortable. Ken is very friendly and communication is second to none. Would love to visit again!

We spent just 2 nights in Skye and the air bnb was perfect for us. Close to local restaurants and a supermarket. We loved the little wood burning stove. The place was cosy and Willie and Gloria lovely hosts.

We had the most wonderful few days at the Crofter’s house to celebrate our mini-moon! It’s the perfect bolt hole to explore Skye from and disconnect from the real world. We’ll be back for sure!

What a magical place! You truly can’t beat the views, or the calmness they bring you. One of the most memorable locations we’ve ever stayed in. The cottage is beautiful and cozy, and has everything you need. You can easily stay there and just watch the world (Highland animals & the ever-changing weather) go by or do beautiful walks within the estate around the lochs. The closest shops are a while away so recommend packing well and bringing everything you need during your stay with you. My only comment would be re the instructions on finding the place - the location given guides you to the lodge. The actual cottage is further 2 miles away. We arrived when it was dark and would not have found it (plus there’s no service!) but luckily we knocked on the only house with lights on and accidentally found Neil (the lovely chap looking after the cottage). He was so helpful and nice and made our stay even better. We will definitely return to Coulin!
