Beautiful home and attentive host! Sam is very thoughtful and thorough. We appreciated the attention to detail and information on the house and area. Sam is easy to communicate with. We found the location great for activities in the Iron River area. The house is well appointed and comfortable. Perfect for our group of six. We loved the view from the kitchen and enjoyed the cozy TV room. Really liked the bed and bath arrangement. One consideration: our winter gear filled the small entry way as there is no real place for coats or ski gear. That said, we would definitely consider staying again! The lake during the summer would be wonderful!

The house is cozy and charming and it was the perfect setting for our weekend away from the city. Perched on a hill right on the lake, it offers privacy & stunning views. Nicholas & Hailey are thoughtful, gracious, and responsive hosts. As a guest, I felt trusted and appreciated. While the space is small, the hosts had generously provided everything a guest could possibly want or need. It is a very special place and we are grateful for the experience.

Beautiful cabin with plenty of space. We would absolutely stay here again. The host was responsive and clearly answered all our questions so we knew what to expect. Our only noted challenge was backing a 44 foot race trailer into the driveway with fresh snow, but with some effort we got it in there! Surroundings are stunning, would love to see this place in the summer!

Whiskey on the River

Absolutely loved this trip. A wonderful welcome basket with wine and snacks was waiting for us upon arrival. We made full use of the fireplace to stay nice and warm during the cold, snowy weekend. Being right along the river was amazing and made for a beautiful view. We utilized the snow shoes to walk along the frozen river and creek which was extremely fun. This was the best cabin we’ve stayed in and we will be sure to recommend to anyone looking for a great place to spend the weekend.

Beautiful lakefront home on ATV/snowmobile trails

We have stayed here several times and we love it more with each visit. Mike and Amy have invested in their property and there are new updates with each year. There is newer furniture than what is pictured. The lake is so nice for swimming!!! And having access to all the kayaks, paddle boat, etc makes the stay so much more fun and relaxing. Sitting on the deck listening to the loons and star gazing is the perfect end to the day!

Lake Cottage: Private with Sunset Views

The Lake Cottage was exactly as pictured - clean, nostaglic, modernized amentities and loads of vintage charge. We booked last minute for a New Years Eve hurrah with my husband and two children (ages 3 & 8), and my only regret is not staying longer. We snowboarded, ice-fished, played board games, did puzzles... and simply enjoyed our time together. It was restorative and the cottage is conducive to slowing down and savoring each moment. The property (albiet Winter) was spacious and felt private, tucked down the long(er) drive with a single neighbor in sight. Elizabeth, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful. 10/10, will probably book again!

Up North Cabin on the Lake

The place was just right for our girls getaway. It had a great location right on the lake. Since it was late fall it was very quiet. Would love to come back when it is warm to enjoy the water. The place itself was wonderful, the picturea didn't deceive.

Brand New Cottage in Downtown ER, Pets Welcome

Pristine, well updated cabin located in a beautifully wooded area. Very clean and clutter free, with a just-like-home feel! I did my evening run to Walgreens which was just 1.1 miles from the cabin’s front door! The roads were great and well lit to be out and about, and the deer were so pretty to see while out exploring :) Saundra was responsive and very kind; you can be sure you’ll enjoy your stay here!

Cozy Lakeside Log Cabin on Sunset Lake

The hosts were more than friendly! The place was worth every penny and it was squeaky clean and they wrote notes everywhere on everything so we can use it properly. It’s my first time using Airbnb, thank you for being my first choice in here. The snow was covering the whole area and it added vibes to our trip! I loved this place and words won’t give it it’s justice. EVERYONE SHOULD BOOK THIS PLACE and please don’t ruin it! ❤️❤️

The cabin is well taken care of and we felt right at home. Everything you need is on hand. The host is very responsive to any questions or issues. Really a lovely stay.

From check in to check out this house was perfect. Jayna and John we perfect hosts and very easy to communicate with. We absolutely loved the location and all the space the house provided. Every room was immaculate and the house had everything you would need for an extended stay. We cannot say enough great things about our stay and will definitely be back!

tha living space was great. plenty of beds. there were two levels that provided room for the adults and kids. deck and and surrounding deck were great for relaxing and group discussions.

Great access to trails and Chain Lake

Our team was working in the area and need a comfy place to eat and sleep. This was the perfect fit. The price was great, easy access, Mary was very helpful and allowed early check in. We enjoyed out stay.

We had a great time in the North Woods of Wisconsin despite the wet and cold weather. The location was convenient to Saint Germain as well as other nearby towns. Was able to enjoy the nearby trails for running, bike riding and hiking. We had a great time!

The Lodge

Overall, I give Bob and Linda’s lodge 5/5. It was exactly what I was looking for: an authentic off-grid UP experience. It’s clean and homey, and Bob and Linda are top notch hosts, going out of their way to make your stay a good one. If you’re looking for a great off-grid experience, this is it. However, it may not be for everyone. For example, we visited in October, and we had to heat the lodge through fireplaces as there is no central heating. I personally enjoyed that but can imagine others not wanting to deal with it. The lodge has an open concept floor plan, and I recommend guests consider sleeping arrangements carefully. While there are a ton of beds, there are few doors, and most sleeping areas don’t have one. So it may not be the best if you have people going to bed or waking up at different times.
