Scott and Laura's place was exactly as described. Very peaceful getaway, and the hosts were very quick to answer any questions and suggest recommendations. The hot tub was the star of the show. Would defo visit again.

Me and my partner stayed at ruby's retreat for our anniversary. We absolutely loved it! It was so cosy and private and we loved sitting outside with the fire on and having a bbq! Andrew was very helpful and showed us around when we arrived and answered any queries via text very quickly. It was in a great location (just under 20 minutes from Bath!) Thank you so much, would definitely come back!

I came here with my partner for our anniversary. Annie was kind enough to leave out a balloon and bottle of fizz for us. The bedroom and bathroom areas were very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and the outdoor area feels very private and the lighting made it feel cozy. Annie was an amazing host and made us feel at home on arrival. There’s also a large smart TV which is an added bonus! Recommend to couples.

Wanted a quick weekend getaway for my girlfiends birthday. Had an amazing time, relaxed and super friendly. Upon arrival gave us some really good information and good locations to check out. Highly recommended the donkey snactuary which was a 30 minute drive away for breakfast and a really sweet view. Deffo a must stay!!

Excellent place to stay just a few minutes drive from nearest town. Beautiful location and so quiet and peaceful to just relax. Really comfortable place, perfect for my partner and myself. Everything worked well and great to have use of the hot tub too! Thank you Rachael!

We were 4 people and the place was very nice and beautiful. We checked in late evening but Paul welcomed us warmly and showed the place.He was very nice! My kids liked the outdoor toys which gave us some time to ourselves. The communication was great. Nice, clean and kids room was cute! We also enjoyed bbq and the stay.Thank you Paul.

Marcella was very informative, friendly, responsive and helpful from start to finish for our stay. Although we unfortunately got caught up in storm Bert’s arrival, it did not stop us having a lovely time in the cabin as well as using Marcellas kind recommendations for our time in the town and having a bite to eat. The amenities were exactly as described and we had everything we needed for our stay. Would absolutely come back in the summer when the weather is better. Thanks again!

Alicja's place surpassed expectations from the minute we arrived - the cabin is set overlooking gorgeous fields and the estate itself is stunning. The cabin was pristine, very warm and welcoming, and we had no trouble finding the place even getting in late in the dark. It was amazing that we could wander through the estate gardens and use the tennis court as we wished as well. Alicja's communication was great, she was very friendly and warm and made us feel so comfortable for our weekend away. We had full use of a BBQ area, and the location being a half an hour walk through lovely countryside to the lovely village of Colerne made the whole weekend 10/10. We would come back and stay in a heartbeat!

My husband and I stayed for two nights with our German Shepherd, Luna. The booking information is excellent and the instructions for check in are clear and helpful. As soon as we were in, we all felt right at home and Amelia had left some lovely touches such as a personal note, putting the heating on, etc. The accommodation is compact, beautiful and comfy - exactly what we were looking for. The bathroom is great with a nice shower and sensor lighting for in the evenings. We didn’t get to use the hot tub due to poor weather but it just means we’ll have to go back. The steps could be a little tricky but there’s a security light that comes on as soon as you open the gate which is another thoughtful addition. Both the front area and the courtyard, at the back of the cabin, are enclosed so it’s great if you’re bringing your dog. Amelia is the perfect host and was helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We would highly recommend Sham Castle Cabin.

Myself, my husband and my 2 boys had a lovely overnight stay in Anne’s ‘Little House’. Anne gave us a wonderful welcome, detailing all the things we needed to know about the house and area. She was super lovely with our boys- it’s the little things like remembering names and ages of your hosts and the reasons why they are visiting you. The Little House is much more spacious than what I thought when looking at the pictures. Lovely decor, nice shower and everything was clean and tidy- also very comfortable! Anne was also very accommodating towards our dog. We didn’t think to bring a dog bed and Anne came as if like magic with one, for our dog use during our stay. All in all The Little House is a lovely place to stay and we will be coming back in the summer time. Thank you again Anne!

We had such a lovely time at The Shed. It was cosy, nicely tucked away in their garden next to woodland, and had all the amenities we needed. Steve did a great job of making the place very relaxing - it was just what we needed! We especially loved the fireplace as it kept us warm in the evening. The location is great too, lots of lovely walks for a nice day. From booking to checkout, Steve was stellar. So helpful with all my questions and super accommodating. He even ensured the place was ready for us when we had to arrive a bit earlier than expected. Couldn't have asked for better really. Would definitely recommend staying here, whether people just want to escape the city, or base themselves in the area while they explore the Mendips and surrounding countryside.

Great place to stay.The lodge had everything you would need to feel at home. Very clean and organised. The grounds/garden were very well maintained. All round Great place to stay and relax . The fishing pool was very good,fished really well for autumn time. l will definitely be booking this lodge again in the future.

From first booking to leaving Lucy kept in contact, we didn’t have any problems so was no need to contact her. Place was very good for the price we paid, Looking to go back in warmer months to enjoy more of the surrounding area. The caravan is well looked after beautifully clean, just like home from home. My second stay with Sandy and I loved this place again. If I did t already have someone I use regularly to stay with in Bristol, he would be my first choice. Very considerately for this stay Sandy had opened up for me and put the heating up (it was a very cold night!). This was lovely to arrive to after a long journey. It’s such a great place (see previous review) and I want to come back again asap.

Just got back from a 4 night stay over New Year’s Eve with family. What a beautiful cabin, so cosy and well decorated with a Christmas tree and fairy lights which was lovely to celebrate the end of the festive season. Not to mention the spacious 6 man hot tub was the perfect place to see in the new year! We managed to visit Glastonbury, Street, Yeovil, Cheddar Gorge all within easy reach. Carolyn was always friendly and responsive, offering some great restaurant recommendations. She also left us a welcome pack of fresh apple juice, eggs, milk, Prosecco and party poppers to celebrate the new year with. I would love to visit again, highly recommend!

Booked a very needed night away here and had an absolutely lovely time. So cosy and comfortable, heating and blankets made sure we didn't get chilly! Hosts were friendly and accommodating, but we had plenty of privacy. Would come back again!
