We have stayed at this rental several times. It will always be our first choice when in Ponchatoula…nothing else compares. The home is comfortable and cozy. The backyard is peaceful and perfect for morning coffee or an evening dinner. There are great restaurants and shops nearby (walking distance). The town is quaint and peaceful. We are able to work remote during our stay with excellent WiFi. Thoughtful snacks from the host Linda are always waiting for you when you arrive. Out of all the places we stay when traveling, this ranks top on our list! Highly recommend and cannot say enough good things about the rental.

Completely met our needs we did not want to be in the thick of things we wanted to go visit plantations and do some swamp tours. We did drive about 30 minutes to see some things on one day drive into New Orleans at about an hour but I would rather drive 30 miles at 30 minutes in no traffic then 5 miles at 30 minutes in traffic. This location suited our needs..

We had a wonderful stay at Karen's place just after Mardi gras! The weather was perfect. her home is great for getting into the garden District and just a short hop on a trolley or Uber to the French quarter and Frenchman Street. wonderful and restful place. so thankful!

The location was perfect! We could walk everywhere. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The extra toiletries were very convenient and there was a sound machine in both rooms. The host was extremely responsive and gave great recommendations. I would definitely stay there again!

Cute, clean, and comfortable home within easy walking distance to the River Center and downtown. We loved it and we will hopefully be back soon!

The home was exactly as pictured. All the appliances were new and in great condition. The ceiling fans and ac kept us comfortable. Lots of towels, wash clothes and all the essentials and more for kitchen and bathroom! Rik stocks plenty of the little comforts like paper goods, dishwashing liquid and laundry supplies. There was even fresh ground coffee for our first pot!The electronics were really easy to figure out .The beds were both super comfortable and everything was immaculate. We knew the location would require using Uber,so it wasn’t an issue. Know that public transport is not ‘steps away’ if you are a little bit older. Another thing for older guests to note is the very deep tub. Rik is a responsive and helpful host. Communication was easy , clear and prompt. Although we didn’t find a ‘house book’ Rik took extra care to give me recommendations for music and food. We felt very safe and at home. This is a solid choice of home base. I’d love to stay again!

We came to Marcelin's home to enjoy the city for my Bachelorette party! I really love easy mornings, good crew, talking and playing games, traditional New Orleans charm- and that's exactly what this gave us. It was a beautiful home with gorgeous details, and it held the group of 8 of us perfectly. I loved every bit of it. We were able to take an easy 25 minute walk (it was beautiful outside) to the St. Charles Streetcar and took it down to Bourbon St! It was a safe neighborhood and immediately felt like home. Thanks Marcy for an easy and memorable weekend in your beautiful home!

Dan is a fantastic host. He was very friendly and great with recommending local accommodations. He was very responsive to all of my husband and I questions. The place was immaculate. Just enough for us. We loved the art and the complimentary snacks. We also enjoyed the unique selections of beer in the fridge. First I've ever seen. Loved this. Beautiful neighborhood with character. We will definitely book again! Thanks Dan, you're the best!

Although our stay was short, Kathy’s place was perfect for us. There were plenty of snacks & drinks. I loved that the area was quiet & not too far from stores. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay again.

cute cabin tucked away in the woods. really enjoyed our stay. in the listing it says shampoo and breakfast provided but they werent. other than that it was perfect.

Location! Location! Location! Tucked back in a quiet complex with easy walking access to/from all the LSU hot spots. With all the immenities & comforts, place feels like home. Host Casey responded immediately to any requests or concerns & was more than accommodating to our needs during our stay! Paige and Joshua are wonderful hosts. Very flexible and responsive. Their location on Audubon Park couldn’t be better. I just walked into the park and either exercised or sat on a bench and read. The apartment had everything I needed.

This was a lovely home, very clean and host provided all the essentials for our stay. It was a bit different to find the unit so be sure to pay attention to the host’s directions. I had to call her back a few times because we got a bit lost. This was one of the most lovely and inviting places I have stayed at so far. It is very close to LSU if you are in town visiting students. The area is lovely!

We stopped at Ima’s place during our roadtrip. Ima is the most wonderful host, she was kind enough to accommodate our inconvenient arrival time and prepare the place with short notice. The studio is super spacious and has all the amenities you needed including full size fridge and washer/dryer. We’ll be definitely staying there again! Thank you Ima :)

My wife and I are well traveled, and this was one of the more memorable places we have stayed. The decor and design made it feel like a home away from home. The bed was comfortable. It’s in a beautiful residential area with gorgeous historic homes around that we walked through every morning. Walking distance to a few bars and restaurants and also right next to the park. We took the St Charles Streetcar into the French Quarter a few times, which took about 45 min. Bonus: Olive greeted us in the mornings and every time we returned! We will stay here again if we visit New Orleans.

Best. Host. Ever. Lyle’s place is elegant and warm, spacious and welcoming. Location is great – easily walkable to so many things. But the very best is Lyle - he’s just a great human being (and chef) and was so helpful and kind. He made me feel right at home and connected to what was going on in the city. He connects people to each other and shares his love and knowledge of the city. Of all the things to experience in New Orleans, staying at Lyles’s place is the best.

Michell and Bob’s Inn was everything what we had hoped for and beyond. They gave us very helpful tips for places to eat, how to get around, and etc. We really enjoyed the story about history of the house! Breakfast was tasteful too! They are very friendly and fun!

Unbeatable location: A quick walk to Frenchman Street to hear music, a tiny bit longer (but not long at all) walk to the French Quarter and the waterfront. Lodging was clean, quiet, private, and safe. Hosts anticipated every possible travel need:  sewing kit, wipes, masks, umbrellas, insect repellents, maps, board games, Woolite, and more. Unlimited fix-it-yourself coffee, tea, bagels, English muffins, milk, soy milk, jam, and more. Great shower. Very sweet backyard.  The shared common space is large and very comfortable. Hosts were quickly responsive and helpful with our questions and requests, and we would happily stay here again anytime. Thank you Lynn!!!!

I’ll start by saying that I would return here 1,000 times. The house: the pictures are great, yet the house is greater! It’s everything you see and so much more. The property is beautiful. The location is safe and walkable to everything! I can’t say enough about the hosts. They went above and beyond! We were in town for my son’s wedding and they made us feel like part of their family. They were so accommodating to unforeseen changes that it helped us all to relax. The puppies found a home away from home with a beautiful fenced in yard! If you are considering this property - BOOK IT! You will be so happy that you did!! We will return and we will recommend the property and hosts to everyone we know! Thank you for everything you did to help make the wedding weekend magical!! 💜

While looking for a last minute weekend get away, I came across The Dove House. Upon booking the room, instantly I was messaged by Mrs. Bonnie. She was very accommodating with our check in time, and greeted us at the house upon our arrival. Mrs. Bonnie gave us a tour of the beautiful home while giving us its history and even offered us our choice of room in the house. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable with every amenity being covered. The following morning we were served a delicious home cooked breakfast. We also enjoyed a nice conversation with Mrs Bonnie where she made you feel more like family rather than just a guest. Although we were only able to stay one night, I will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area. I highly recommended anyone staying in the area to give The Dove House a chance. You won’t regret your stay!

This place was perfect for our short stay to visit family. Description was accurate, but photos didn't do justice to the overall atmosphere Jolie has created. We felt right at home the moment we stepped inside. It was very easy to find, within walking distance of cute riverside businesses, and short driving distance to many north shore locations. We look forward to returning when we stay again in the area!
