We are so grateful to Katelyn & Lee for helping us pull off a magical experience for our family (17 total) who spent 6 days at this gorgeous property. The Anchorage House has plenty of space to gather & lots of nooks for small groups or privacy. There are amble bathrooms, which is essential for a big group. The hot tub was delightful-hosts even stopped by to freshen it mid-stay. They recommended a local caterer, the Savary Plate, who provided incredible meals, but the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking for a large group (which we did one night) and even has a commercial dishwasher! The location is perfect-we made day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Digby for whale watching—not to mention local beaches minutes away. But we were just as enchanted sitting on the porch or down on the dock (evening kayaking). If characters were unlimited, I could go on and on about this wonderful property, but I also must mention the thoughtfulness of our hosts who felt like friends.

Walking into this Airbnb, I was in totally AW! I travel often and can honestly say I found the best Airbnb so far, right here at home! Dan was an amazing host and has such great taste. From the furniture and decor to the ambience and music playing through the home when you enter, it doesn’t get more luxurious than this. Everything you could possibly need to cook a great meal. All of the space you could ask for if travelling with a group. Dan really allows his guests to feel right at home. In the study, there’s a drink station where you can make your own slushies, pop, tea and coffee. On the top floor, off the master bed, there is the most beautiful hottub with harbour views. This place is worth every single cent. Not a single complaint to be made here. This is most definitely a repeater and I highly recommend to absolutely anybody thinking about it. We frequently travel as a large group and are used to splitting up due to our size, so finding a place that can accommodate all of us is a challenge. Melanie and Thomas went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we couldn’t be more grateful. With 17 of us staying under one roof, you’d never guess there were so many—it was that spacious! The house is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need, from kitchen essentials to speakers and pool toys. Melanie and Thomas are truly the most kind and welcoming hosts we’ve ever encountered. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate—just book it! Next time, we’re definitely staying for at least three nights because we weren’t ready to leave!

We stayed with as a family of 4 for two nights - our 2 little girls loved the comfiness and coziness of Kelly's place - full of fluffy pillows, blankets, and lots of little places to snuggle in. There was a nice big kitchen to cook in, and the hot tub and pool were awesome. We would stay here again :)

Helen’s place was exactly as pictured plus many more lovely additions in terms of available supplies and even food items! Helen emphasized how everything in the apartment was for myself and guest to use, making us feel right at home and very welcomed. Parking is easy and steps from the main entrance of the unit. This is a very spacious place with comfy beds while also being only a short distance from the bustle of downtown Halifax!

We really enjoy the place and nature, the house was clean and look like the pictures, Hot tub Was clean and smooth, kitchen and bedrooms were clean and comfortable, Highly recommended for everyone,if wants to enjoy vacation and build lovely memories, I want to rebook for summer again.

This was a really stress free stay, Matthew went out of his way to make it feel like home, and was always helpful. Even brought a stroller for my toddler to play with. He was helpful and gave suggestions of things to do around town. The house was beautiful and extremely clean. I would definitely stay there again when I travel to Halifax again.

I had a wonderful stay at Jay’s Airbnb! He gave very clear instructions, which was very helpful. He was also very responsive and answered all questions I had! The place was even better than the pictures. My friends and I raved about the Airbnb the entire weekend and we have already discussed booking the Airbnb in the future. Thanks for everything Jay!

This place was spacious, bright, private, and very cozy. Lots of towels were provided in each bedroom for us, and we really didn’t want for anything during our stay. There is a washer/dryer in this unit, so thankfully we were able to wash my son’s uniform after two games of basketball. So, his uniform was fresh and clean before his third game in the morning. Laundry soap and bounce sheets were provided in an easy to find spot next to the machines in the bathroom. Body wash, shampoos and conditioners were inside the shower for us to use as well. Papertowel and Kleenex which a must for any of air bnb stay, were provided as too! Anni really took extra care in providing the little extras that make for a wonderful stay. We loved the shelving and hooks in the bedrooms and a having a nice sized desk to sit at too that is away from the tv was nice. There are no tvs in the bedroom which we liked too. We highly recommend this spot.

The house was centrally located for where are family reunion was located. It was close to everything that we needed and shopping. The house was immaculate and the area was very quiet. I highly recommend this Airbnb’s home!

Lots of extra touches. Wonderful welcome basket that even included dog toys and treats (including wine for the 2-legged guests). Loved having the washer/dryer to use (when you are travelling this is really nice). Overall very positive experience.

Wow!!! What can I say, unfortunately there is no 10 stars to rate this place and Courtenay. She has done such a fantastic job, we arrived there was water in the fridge and milk, fresh cookies and local caramels from Lure!! I felt like it was my birthday. Beautiful little notes left for us all to welcoming us to the property. I’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s around the world and in Nova Scotia and these guys knocked it out of the park. I need to go and re-review previous properties to make the level of service, support and quality of the accommodation make sense. This is beyond 5 stars and actually deliver so well so thoughtfully that I would not want to stay anywhere else. Amazing location, sunrise and sunset were just beautiful over the ocean. Tucked away but still close for groceries or nipping into Halifax. Courtenay was super responsive but honestly everything is there so no need to ask for anything. Tea, coffee, everything you need other than main groceries was a big help.

After many days on the road, it was fantastic to park our motorcycles at the Red Roof and totally unplug. It is a gorgeous, peaceful location ...... just soaking in the ebb and flow of the bay was perfect and Phil was a great host....we highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay! The art and beautiful wood pieces throughout the home were a highlight. We were travelling with our two teenaged girls and there was space for family time as well as some personal down time. We enjoyed the hot tub and walking down to the rocks/cove. Location was perfect for us to have a getaway but still go into the city lots.

Our stay was fantastic! We all felt right at home and slept so well! The location is ideal, as you are close to a lot of places to eat and do activities! Ruilin was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed! 10/10

My mother and I stayed at Mairi’s place, and we absolutely loved it! The house is really unique and special, and we loved the layout! Loved that the results of books and games to choose from, lots of comfortable outdoor seating, and the area is beautiful Highly recommend, checking it out!

We loved the location and the setup of this AirBNB. It was perfect for our group. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. We appreciated all the little touches. He truly thought of everything (and even left us some treats). There are two grocery stores super close (and a liquor store, and lots of restaurants close by. We had no issues with parking or noise. The space is homey and comfortable. Great, communicative host with some good recommendations for things to do. We would definitely stay again! Thanks so much!

They made sure that our stay was the best it can be. They even made sure not to buy cheap toilet paper. Everything was great:)
