We stayed at the House by the Locks as part of a family vacation in February 2025 and had a fantastic time. This is a unique heritage home that takes "historic character" to a whole new level. It was beautifully furnished, spacious for our party of 6, spotlessly clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen. We used it as home base for doing winter activities at Algonquin and Arrowhead Provincial Parks, and it was a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. Check-in/out was easy, and the host was friendly and responsive. 10/10. Highly recommended!

Great, sizeable place. Great location. Good condition. Had some toys available for our kids which was helpful! Kitchen was a great size and very well equipped. We’ll definitely try to book this place again when we return to North Bay.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Ryan was a great host and the place was beautiful and located in a great location easy to find. We loved the place and would most definitely stay again if needed.

This is a lovely cabin - in fact it is nicer than the photos show! Reghan is an excellent host, with lots of info provided before and during the stay. The cabin is quite near to the road, but it is quiet especially at right. Would definitely recommend for both winter & summer trips.

The perfect getaway! It’s so cozy feels like you’re at home. The property has everything you would need for a short- term or a long -term stay- lots of linen, toiletries, utensils and kitchen appliances. Esteban was a very good and responsive host. There are a few fast food chains around that are open till 12am, and grocery and convenience stores are right around. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

We want to thank Abigail for giving us the pleasure of renting this space. We were so much more comfortable than we would have been at the hotel! We felt at home, and very comfortable and the kids had a blast! One tiny thing that was missing was a keurig but the coffee maker worked great, we just ran back out quickly for ground coffee. Not a big deal at all given the location! Thanks so much! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Amit’s cottage! The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. We had a great weekend at this cottage! The cottage was clean, cozy, spacious. It had everything we needed for a fun filled weekend. The hot tub, pool table and ping pong table were just some of the highlights of this cottage. Amanda was very accommodating and responsive. She provided all the information needed in order to have the best time. The location was ideal, very peaceful, surrounded by nature, lots of privacy. Overall, this cottage was a perfect escape from the city. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for an enjoyable getaway. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful March break week at Mark and Betty's. It's like living in an art gallery! The view was beautiful and a very peaceful and private location. My daughter loved the rooms and toys downstairs and we really appreciated the modern kitchen and fantastic fireplace.

Absolutely amazing stay! Abdul was a great host! Our families loved everything about this cottage. The indoor pool was a huge hit, especially for the kids, and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day. The theater room made for great movie nights, and the overall setup of the cottage was comfortable and inviting. The place was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a memorable getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

There aren’t words to describe how incredible our stay at your family cottage in Dorset was. This is our 17th year doing family cottage getaways and I can honestly say that this was by far the best. Nobody wanted the trip to end…From the gorgeous and blissful lake to the new dock filled with Muskoka chairs and enough kayaks that we went on our first ever family kayak expedition, to the neat little fire pit, to the indoor pool and the multitude of games and even a karaoke machine which was great for evenings and rainy days. The cottage was prepared with everything and anything we could have needed including the much appreciated extras like duck food for the kids to feed the duck family that frequented the dock. The cottage was spacious with enough room for everyone to sleep and live comfortably, and beautifully decorated and we truly felt that it was a home away from home. The Gerbers are hosts extraordinaire and we hope that we can return again for another wonderful family vacation!

This place is absolutely breathtaking, being right on the lake, the view was beautiful from morning to night time. Usman was also an amazing host who responded to all our questions and concerns in timely manner before and during our stay. Could not recommend this host and their place enough. Had a fabulous fall weekend at Richard's beautiful cottage in Baysville! The pictures on Airrbnb were totally accurate, this cottage is gorgeous! It has everything you could possibly need for cooking meals, very well appointed kitchen. Cozy living room with ample comfy couches around a gorgeous fireplace. The views of the lake are so pretty... perfect setting! We hioe to return! Thanks Richard!

My second visit to this very comfortable, snug, and warm cabin with an excellent wood furnace. Having a warm and dry place for the night made hiking in November so much more enjoyable. Shawna is a delightful host. Though it is an hour and a half to Kilarney Park, it is an easy and pleasant drive with little traffic. En route, nearby Noelville has a wonderful coop grocery store with much in addition to groceries, though it closes about 5:00 pm or so.

Beautiful apartment that has been decorated really nicely. Communication was great, host was super responsive. This was a last minute stay due to road closures and we were impressed with how quickly and easily we were able to book and arrive. We’ll likely be back.

Peaceful, gorgeous & unique location. Enjoyed our sunset walk on the “ghost trail” and on surrounding country roads. Comfortable, cozy stay with everything we needed. Enjoyed meeting our canine hosts as well :)

We had an excellent family winter weekend getaway! We did some ice fishing, snowmobiling and skating/hockey down the road at the local ODR. The cottage was a great spot for our family and we will definitely go back and would love to try it in the summer months. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us!
