My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The views (mountain ranges and night sky) are spectacular from the decks and the hot tub. The kitchen is well appointed and the furniture very cozy. It was cool in the evening so the fireplace was perfect. The area boasts many beautiful waterfalls, parks, and hiking trails. We particularly enjoyed the Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, the beautiful drive up and over the "Nantahala Mountains" at Wayah Gap. The Whitewater Falls and Silver Run Falls are wonderful. Happs and Whiteside Brewery are close by and offer excellent food & beverage options. We will be back! 🙏🏼

Place was exactly as advertised and host helped with recommendations, and was responsive to any questions / issues. Lovely place to stay near several great hikes!

First I will say that getting up to this property felt treacherous, especially at night. Highly recommend an AWD vehicle if you’re coming up here. Otherwise, the place was very private, clean, and beautiful! Cynthia was an exceptional host - she made sure we arrived safely and was proactive in her communication.

This was one of the nicest Airbnds we have stayed at. Check in was a breeze with keyless entry, house layout was ideal. Towels for the hot tub were an excellent touch. Had very high end appliances easy to work. Privacy is excellent when using the hot tub!!! Very peaceful and stress free weekend. Weekend went so fast we didn’t get to use fireplace but we definitely will be back!! We had no issues and we really enjoyed our selves. Thank you for everything !! A weekend to remember for sure.

Awesome location. The house is located perfectly between Highlands And Cashiers. Amazing restaurants nearby and the hot tub was relaxing for star gazing at night. Highly recommended.

The house was very comfortable, clean, & cozy. The kitchen was very well supplied. We spent many hours on the large porch...comfortable furniture & great views. We would definitely recommend.

We loved our 8 day stay here. The area is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed walking with our dog through the property and down the road through the neighborhood. The cabin is dog friendly but you would never know it because it was quite clean. Philip and Michelle were wonderful hosts and responded and acted quickly when we let them know the lightbulb in the kitchen had blown. They gave us some great recommendations on places to visit to see some spectacular views and waterfalls. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again!

This lovely cottage was so amazing. We loved being there for the weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to return in the future. The kitchen had everything you need for a getaway. The linens were all comfy and great. It was so nice to be welcomed by their sweet dogs and we enjoyed visiting the chickens. It rained while we were there and loved hearing the rain on the metal roof. Claira, Andy and their children were so kind.

We loved the place and the surrounding, The house is very close to town, and many waterfall in the area are in short distance. you need to remember that you in the middle of the forest almost so take with you some bug repellent and don’t be surprised for any wildlife visits 😁, the place is beautiful and clean and got everything you need to feel comfortable and welcome.

“Attention to details” is what this place should be called. Every detail and I mean every single one, was accounted for. Beautiful, clean, spotless, peaceful and welcoming. The trails out back were lovely and easy to follow. Front screened porch was perfect for morning coffee and breakfast. Without a doubt we will book this location next year when we return!

This place was stunning! Very clean and organized. The only issue we had was not reading the instructions that we would lose cell service halfway up the mountain. In her defense, Elizabeth did put that in the instructions that I did not read ahead of time. Everything was squeaky, clean, organized, well decorated…Beautiful!

Stay Foxy Cottage was the perfect spot for our Highlands vacation! It was magical, whimsical, and warm and inviting in every way. The cottage was beautifully appointed, and the host Bev did not miss a thing in stocking and decorating it with pure style and passion to provide the best experience possible. Not to mention you can walk to a delish BBQ joint and wine tasting spot as well as take a back trail to town with tons of options for shops and restaurants. The location couldn’t be more convenient to town and so many great hiking trails, waterfalls and the ski tube mountain just 15 minutes away! Though at the same time tucked away and private. But what made this place so special was the host Bev who was so gracious, kind and thoughtful. I appreciate her great attention to detail and the sweet welcome gifts she left for my family! I feel like I made a new friend! Do not hesitate to book this spot, we made so many lovely memories and didn’t want to leave! Thanks again, Bev!

This was our second stay at this location and absolutely loved it! The house is so clean and cozy, and Beau is a very responsive host. This is by far the best Airbnb we've stayed at and would return again.

If you are looking for a private space with a gorgeous view, this is the place to rent! My wife and I stayed for four days and loved every bit of it. The drive up to the house is a bit steep but the owners give clear instructions if you’ve never driven in mountainous terrain before. Slow and steady takes you up! Every part of the house was clean, organized, and ready for guests! Kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, utensils, and other miscellaneous housewares. We highly recommend this Airbnb and look forward to renting this place again!

We loved our stay! Check in was so easy and Tracy reached out to us to make sure the keypad was working correctly. Our two girls slept in the loft while our son took the downstairs bedroom. We visit family every year and like to be right near downtown and close to their houses, which took us only 6 minutes. Everything was clean, fully stocked kitchen, linens were fresh, couch was perfect for us to curl up and watch a movie together after a long day. The surroundings are beautiful - stone stairs take you to the lower parking pad, fire pit, darts in the back porch. Highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again!

We stayed at Edwin’s place right after Christmas. We arrived at night to a clean, comfortable place and woke up to the daylight of a magical looking atmosphere. The large windows had beautiful views of Whiteside Mountain, and Edwin was very kind to check in with us and give us tips for hiking trails and places to eat. It was a great time to enjoy the surroundings and Edwin was a friendly, caring host. It was the perfect getaway!

This was the third time to stay at Bear's Den. Not only was Steven easy to deal with, so was Angie who manages the property. We highly recommend Bear's Den and look forward to returning again!

We had a wonderful and peaceful trip!! Loved sitting on the porch to drink our coffee in the mornings while watching the river! It was cozy and comfortable. The only downside is the small tv in the living room, but it was still enjoyable!
