Great place to stay! Indeed very quit. Easy to check in & clean. Additionally, because there was no guests the next day Patricia allowed us to check out a bit later which was really nice. Would recommend!

Our stay at woodlovers was lovely! We greatly recommend this for anyone who likes a calmer environment and doesnt prioritize being in the city. Location is good for anyone who has a car and is exploring the island and its nature. The hosts were communicative and helpful which is appreciated. The cat family was also a welcome addition to our stay since we missed our cat at home.

Logement conforme aux photos et à la description , très agréable dans un environnement calme et paisible. Stationnement facile dans la rue. Les 3 chiens sont adorables et ne veulent que des caresses !

Die Unterkunft ist rundum wunderschön. Der Garten ist super angelegt und man kann mit Meerblick auf der Terrasse essen. In der Küche als auch im Badezimmer: perfekte Ausstattung. Essig, Öl, Gewürze, tolle Shampoos bis hin zu Bademänteln. Hier fehlt es wirklich an nichts! Auch die Kommunikation war super. Der Zugang erfolgt über eine Schlüsselbox und ist super easy. Die Lage ist schon etwas abgelegen und der Weg dahin sehr kurvig und steil - natürlich nicht unüblich auf Madeira, aber nach einem langen Tag manchmal etwas anstrengend. Ein Auto ist unabdingbar, kein Café, kleiner Supermarkt oder ähnliches ansatzweise in Laufnähe. Zwei kleine negative Punkte: Wir hatten an zwei Abenden kein WLAN. Hinter dem Haus wird ein kleines Haus gebaut. Hier hatten wir Nachmittags (17/18 Uhr) meist leider Baulärm. Danke Catarina für die tolle Woche!

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was absolutely fantastic. The villa is very comfortably furnished and offers everything you need on vacation. It is in a great location, nestled in the countryside and with a fantastic view of the sea. We were made very welcome with all the information we needed.

Two of us had a fantastic few days in this small house. It is in a beautiful area with great walks and locations nearby. There is everything you need in the home and it is peaceful even with the road around. The outdoor spot is a sun trap in the mornings for breakfast with a great view

Our stay exceeded expectations. This is a really special place. The location for us was unbeatable as you have an uninterrupted view of the sea and it was very peaceful with just the birds and frogs as company. The terrace was superb. There is lots of attention to detail in the property to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. As others have said the jacuzzi was just what was needed after a hard day's walking which we did a lot of. We walked to Ribeira Brava and back through the banana plantation a few times for dinner at the fabulous Muralha Terrace. We had the best octopus we have probably ever eaten so had to go back for more. One last thing - the stars are amazing too. Thanks Ari for a lovely stay.

Unfortunately I didn’t go hiking as planned due to weather, but the stay was great! You have breath taking views of the property and the mountains around you. When it’s misty out it becomes absolutely gorgeous. I loved the privacy and the easy access to hike (not good during this time). Overall I loved the place!

Very nice place for two people. Great landscape for hiking. Rental car is recommanded. Contact with Katie was easy and friendly.

Het huisje is fantastisch: stoer en romantisch, er is een prachtige tuin bij en je hebt een mooi uitzicht over het dorp en zee. We vonden het heerlijk en vertrokken compleet ontspannen na een paar dagen in Sao Jorge!

Lauren’ and Andre’s place is a great find. Right next to the promenade and close to restaurants and cafes you have the capability of finding some rest with a great view from the roof terrace. It’s very easy to communicate with the hosts and the surroundings are great as well! Thank you for the great stay!

Even though it was raining most of the time, we had a lovely time at the cabin. It's cozy, yet spacious, well secluded but easy enough to reach by car. Funchal is about 30 minutes drive, there were some great hiking spots nearby, some even started from the cabins directly. Dioclécio was a great host, helped us with getting around and finding the perfect timing for the hikes. Looking forward to staying there again.

Such a lovely place to stay, perfect for a long weekend away! Host was lovely and quick to answer any messages. Would love to come back when the sun is shining to make use of the beautiful outdoors space too!

Nous avons passé 3 jours chez Adriana. A l'arrivée nous étions un peu surpris par l'emplacement mais au final ce fut notre logement préféré à Madère ! L'emplacement au bord de la route n'était pas un problème car quasiment pas de circulation la nuit et surtout nous étions tout près du rocher de Ribeira de Janela et avec les vagues, c'était fascinant! La maison etait très bien agencée avec une décoration vraiment jolie, des éclairages originauxet tout l'équipement necessaire. Avec le cadeau de bienvenue que nous avons apprécié ! Le père d'Adriana s'est arrêté pour nous saluer et était tres sympathique. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps ! A une prochaine fois j'espère!

Foram dias relaxantes, no meio de um paraíso. A recepção foi calorosa e foi tudo muito agradável desde o checkin até ao checkout. Adorámos a experiencia em família, no meio da Natureza :)

The house is amazing, we had a great time In this accommodation- very recommended! It is very secluded and calm🙂 The interior is very cozy, had all the necessary equipment for cooking and barbecue on the terrace. The view is stunning - very beautiful location. For cat lovers there is a great bonus - there are cats that are coming from time to time to the terrace of the house - they are very cute and friendly - we recommend to grab some additional food to have something to feed them🙂 This house is a great and unique place to stay and we loved it but there are few things to keep in mind for guests of this accommodation: - there is no cellular network in the house - WiFi is unstable (the house is not suitable for working), we stayed for 4 nights and there was no internet connection during this period of time almost at all. - It’s very secluded and most of the things around close pretty early so you have to plan & buy your food in advance, also to buy in advance a lot of water (for dri

What a peaceful and beautiful place, it’s on top of the mountain and surrounded by greenery. Diogo’s house is very well organized - so many thoughtful and so stylish details! On top of it you have a real fireplace, which we used in the evenings and felt right in a magical fairytale! Additionally there is a little animal farm and chicken family may come by the house, which I loved! This house truly exceeded our expectations. Of course it’s slightly cooler there than closer to the coast, but we were ready for it and used some warmer clothes for the evening (so I think you just shall be ready that in the mountains and forest it’s getting colder by the evening). Diogo is a very responsive host and was ready to assist us with any questions. It felt that he has put his heart into the house, well done 😌 👏

Really nice place just outside of Funchal. Good place to wind down from city life and good hikes available from the cabin.

Fantastic location and views - delightful to wake up in and open the doors onto your deck. Very peaceful but easy to drive to Calheta and the rest of the island.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung. Ralf war sehr zuvorkommend, hat schnell auf Nachrichten reagiert und uns sogar zurück zur Fähre gebracht. Die Wohnung ist klein, aber fein und hat alles zu bieten, was man für ein paar entspannte Tage auf Porto Santo braucht. Es gibt eine ruhige Terasse, eine gut ausgestattete Küche und der Strand ist in 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.

In noodweer aangekomen bij het verblijf na een pittige tocht door de bergen. Heerlijk om dan opgevangen door een invoelende gastheer die ons een warm onthaal gaf. Fijne omgeving in de prachtige bergen met uitzicht op zee.
