The pictures didn't capture how lovely this home is. I've stayed in a few places in the area for a similar price and this far exceeded my expectations for many reasons. First, the furniture is well made and substantial: the mattresses are high quality and comfortable, there are down comforters on the beds with hypoallergenic options available, the kitchen is a fully stocked real kitchen not an airbnb kitchen, and the neighborhood is SO QUIET. The gardens are so peaceful and having your morning coffee on the outdoor patio watching the hummingbirds buzz by is such a relaxing way to start the day. Even though you feel miles away, the main road and a nice hotel are a short walk away for dinner or transport to Urubamba, Ollyantaytambo, Pisac, or Cusco. What sold me was the spa bathrooms, massage table, jacuzzi, and river water cold pools - I took advantage of it and had a spa day! The water was hot, the water pressure was good, tons of natural light, warm and cozy. This is a gem!

La casa de Karen no sólo es hermosa sino también muy funcional! Nos sentimos muy cómodos y súper bien atendidos!

My family of 6 stayed at this beautiful house and spent new years here. The moment you walk in you are greeted nicely and you are shown around the property which is big. The place is nice if you want to be surrounded by nature, rural living, peaceful views. You need to have a car to go everywhere. Even to the town Calca. We had a great time! We took the train to Aguascalientes, went to Machu Picchu, and can’t be more impressed with Peru. Can’t wait to come back!

¡Definitivamente volvería a hospedarme aquí! La casa es súper cómoda, el diseño y la decoración "de revista" y el servicio del portero Manuel para ayudarnos fue de lo mejor. Manuel nos ayudó a conseguir leña para prender la chimenea, nos asistió con algunas compras de insumos y a prender la parrilla; siempre con una actitud positiva y amable. La ubicación fue estratégica. Estábamos en el medio de Valle Sagrado, por lo que pudimos conocer cada sitio arqueológico en varios días ya que las distancias eran cortas. En caso nos hospedábamos en la ciudad, lo tendríamos que hacer en un sólo día, lo cuál es bastante agotador. Ildiko fue un host de primera. Las respuestas fueron rápidas y siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar. Nos encantó que nos dejó en la casa huevos, mantequilla, pan, café y azúcar para poder desayunar. Además de carbón y madera para la parrilla y chimenea. En general, recomendamos al 100% esta casa. Permite vivir lo mejor de Cuzco, pero sin perder la tranquilidad del campo.

A peaceful and comfortable stay with an amazing view of the valley. I enjoyed an independent stay in Urubamba in the bamboo house with its own fruitful garden. Only a 5min walk to the nearest shop that accepts payment by cash and card. And a 15min walk to the town square. This is the perfect location if you need a base for going hiking or sightseeing at Machu Picchu. The host is great, checking in on me if everything is fine, and even bringing a bowl of freshly picked fruit from the garden. You won’t find a better host! My favourite aspect of the house is the master bedroom. A big, comfortable bed and an amazing view of the valley and its peaks surrounded it. There is also a little balcony outside the bedroom where you can enjoy the view from even more.

La casa es amplia, limpia y en una zona centrica de Yucay. Lo cual no está lejos de Urubamba, los autos pasan frente a la casa a todo hora. Tiene una linda vista del pueblo. Todo ha sido tal como indica.

Linda casa, muy acogedora, muy cómoda, con todos lo necesario, muy bien ubicada (a orillas del río, aislada del ruido pero a la vez muy cerca al pueblo de Calca, a unas 10 cuadras de la plaza principal). Jennyfer es una excelente anfitriona, muy amable y siempre a disposición para atender las necesidades que se presentan y para brindar recomendaciones en la zona. Muchas gracias.

Tuvimos una gran estadía ! Andrés y Susana fueron muy amables , sobre todo con nuestras horas de entrada y salida , la casa es hermosa , acogedora y tiene unas vistas hermosas hacia las montañas ! perfecto para desconectar . El señor Guillermo en portería también fue amable en ayudarnos a conseguir leña . Volveremos! Gracias

Es la 2da vez que nos quedamos en la casita y siempre nos da esa sensación de tranquilidad y paz tal y como buscamos cuando vamos al valle sagrado, sobretodo por la privacidad de la casa, es cercada, y las fogatas de noche nos encantan. Lo único que recomendaría es que puedan renovar su TV ya que al ser un poco antigua las aplicaciones cargan muy lento, pero es una sugerencia mínima ya que la usamos poco solo cuando queríamos ver noticias. Nos volveríamos a hospedar de todas maneras.

Perfect location just off the main square with beautiful views on the mountain top ruins from your balcony entrance. Walk to everything and enjoy all the ruins and hikes. Only one has a fee and you will not have many tourists at the others...none in mornings or late afternoons. This is a very historic town and you really get a great feel for how the locals exist. The apartment is very quite, bright, comfy and spotless. Communication is amazing ...they respond immediately. They were nice enough to store my luggage while I hiked Machu Picchu and even rescued my eyeglasses I forgot at a restaurant. Spend at least a few nights here...I feel this town gets overlooked and its one of the reasons you will enjoy it.

Llegamos en la noche al hospedaje de Sylvia, así que nuestra primera impresión fue solo de la casita. Hermosa!! Nos encantó desde que entramos. La cocina completa, todo limpio y cuenta con lo necesario. Al día siguiente nos levantamos y vimos por la ventana el paisaje que nos rodeaba... Un lujo estar ahí, con el Apu Pitusiray frente a nosotros. Muy agradecidos, disfrutamos las 2 noches en Mama Coya. Todos los ambientes de la casa tienen vistas espectaculares. Definitivamente lo recomendamos y también volveremos! Gracias Sylvia por toda la experiencia. Nos vemos en otro momento!

¡Nos encantó la casa! Los paisajes son muy lindos y la catarata de Arin que queda cerca es hermosa para visitar. Recomendado para salir de la rutina. 🌸

Catherine's home is truly a magical stay. It's quiet, which was important for our family of four, it has very beautiful views and a lovely garden. We were able to walk easily to several restaurants in town and Catherine helped us find a fantastic local guide and made great suggestions for things to do.

Excelente! amplio y limpio, muy buena iluminacion. La anfitriona estaba muy atenta y fue amable en todo momento. La zona muy tranquila para caminar hacia la catarata. Espectacular vista.

Excelente experiencia, la casa es tal cual se describe. Salvador fue muy amable y nos ofreció cosas que no estaban en el anuncio. Respondió a todas mis preguntas con mucho detalle y nos dio sugerencias para visitar los alrededores. Aunque la descripción no señala agua caliente y toallas, tuvimos eso y más. Es un barrio muy tranquilo, mi hija pudo hacer amigos rápidamente con los niños del lugar. La casa tiene vistas hermosas y desde ahí se pueden hacer caminatas en medio de las montañas. El transporte es muy accesible para subir desde el centro de Urubamba y para bajar solo hay que esperar un poco aunque yo prefería bajar caminando ya que toma menos de 20 minutos llegar al centro. Un lugar perfecto si llevas mascotas.

La casa es muy cómoda con unas vistas hermosas y mucha tranquilidad. Está cerca de la pista, es de fácil acceso. La comunicación con María Elizabeth fue muy fluida. Gracias!🥰

This is a lovely house. It is very big. The beds are super comfortable. The shower is nice and hot. The internet is very fast. It is a perfect house for a family or for a group. The surroundings are so nice, too. Please be aware that the house is a short walk to Ollantaytambo (20-30 min). I loved this. It is very nice to not be surrounded by all of the noise and annoying tourists. You do not need a car to get to Ollantaytambo. There are colectivos that pass by on the main road (and charge almost nothing for a ride into town) about every 15-20 min, and the walk is great. I highly recommend this house.

Awesome getaway for family and friends This house is amazing for spending quality time with family or friends. Eliana is incredibly kind and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highlights: - The house is spacious and well-designed, offering plenty of room for everyone. - A convenient mini-market right in front of the house makes it easy to grab anything you might need for cooking. - The neighbors are very friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. - Beautiful walking routes nearby are perfect for enjoying fresh air and nature. It’s a wonderful place we’d love to return to many times.
