Clean, comfortable and well located accommodation in Merewether. House had everything you could need with furnishings to a very high standard. Easy walking distance to beaches, shops and to Lingard Private Hospital.

Exactly what we needed - a nice 2-bedroom place walking distance from the beach. Clean, tidy and exactly as advertised. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay as a base to enjoy the hunter with some great recommendations from Mark! Place is well equipped, clean and has a lovely deck to sit out and have a bbq in the evenings.

10/10 would stay again at Amy’s, it was nice and cozy. Exactly what we needed for the big weekend we had in Newcastle. Will 100% book again if available next time we’re in town ☺️ Nice and cold aircon, washer and dryer, and comfortable bedding.

We enjoyed a brilliant weekend in April 2025 at Buff Point. The communication from Kate leading up to the holiday was prompt and detailed. No problems with adjusting the booking dates, or adding our dog to the guest list. We were greeted by a magnificent view of the lake, as soon as we walked in to the house. The view from the Master bedroom was even better! A great setup for an extended family, with a great outdoor area, open plan living area indoor, and a little study nook up the top if you wanted a quite corner to read a book. The garage had 2 bikes, which was perfect to ride along the path along the lake, 2 kayaks to paddle on the lake, and a table tennis table which kept us entertained when indoors. Highly recommend the place to others wanting to visit the area, and spend time with family and friends. We have already started to plan for our next family outing back here.

We loved our stay at David and Shiran's place. There was 14 of us and we only stayed 1 night sadly. There was plenty of room for everyone and many activities (pool table, table tennis table, table soccer, darts, archery) to keep every one of us occupied. My wife loved the huge fully equipped kitchen. It was so peaceful as the house and separate cottage were both located on a massive block of land - with no neighbours in sight. Just perfect for a large group and very clean and comfortable beds. And an easy drive to the many wineries. Our group want to return as soon as we can co-ordinate ourselves.

Wild Woods cabin amongst the trees and birds is a quiet and comfortable weekend escape. Perfect position away from the traffic yet close to the vineyards. We’ll be back!

Fantastic property with thoughtful hosts; a wonderful choice for families and kids of all ages. Well maintained amenities and attention to detail made our stay with extended family a delight. The heated pool was a hit - even when it rained - and it was easy to get in and out safely for both the toddler and senior in our group. The wood fire pizza oven is definitely worth cranking for dinner or just to hang in the mini-amphitheatre. The playhouse, car and trampoline kept our little one very entertained. Every room was immaculate and beautifully designed. We were even treated to some local produce courtesy of our host - thanks Lauren! A magical location and very peaceful. Just 10 minutes walk to town and if you’re up for exploring, follow the ‘secret’ track to Wreck beach via the bushland at the rear of the garden. Highly recommend.

Had a great stay, Beautiful part of Australia. Place is close to beach and the pool and bungalow is nice and private. Little touches like bread, eggs and a few beers in fridge were much appreciated and added to the experience. Would highly recommend

This lakeside home is the perfect getaway for large family gatherings for all ages! The pool was AMAZING, the pool table was used constantly, the kitchen was well stocked and the 3 main bedrooms has the most incredible views. The beds were all very comfortable, and there were multiple TVs to suit everyone. The bathrooms were spacious and modern. The views were stunning across the lake, especially at sunset. our family of 13 had a very special and memorable stay. Justin's videos were very helpful and his communication was excellent.

This place was absolutely perfect for our large group of adults and kids Tanya was a great host, came over to say hi and introduce herself. the amenities were great, we didn't feel the need to leave the house for the whole weekend. Kind of house you wished you stayed an extra day in. will defs be back

Our stay at Sascha’s Retreat was fantastic! An absolutely amazing property with so much to do that you don’t ever need to leave. It is in a beautiful and private location with views as far as the eye can see, and has everything you need for an action-packed weekend or a peaceful getaway. Stephen was a brilliant host, extremely responsive to any queries, super friendly and helpful. We will most definitely be returning and highly recommend Sascha’s Retreat.

Llyr House was perfect for us as 8 adults looking for a week away for a mini school reunion. The kitchen was a good size, with modern appliances - the fridge and ice maker being a hit. We worked with the hosts to make sure everyone had a bed to themself and the bedrooms were a good size for those that needed to share a room. The master bedroom was very big and had a great ensuite. The two living spaces allowed us to mix and match what we were doing throughout the day (a couple of us watching sport, some others gaming or watching movies for instance) and the tech in both was modern and seamless. The pool was a welcome space to refresh after a walk to the beach, or returning from golf and was well maintained, as was the outdoor BBQ/dining area setup nearby. The laundry had modern appliances which were used throughout the week. Overall a great place to stay for large groups, thx!

Our stay at Karen's property was fabulous, just the right peaceful mini break that we so needed. The whole property is beautiful, peaceful, and well looked after, you can even have a few shots of golf. We all loved the pool such a nice added Bonus, we were there every day after going to the beach (or even before some days haha), it's lovely at night with the lights. The guest house is exactly as per the photos in the ad, actually, it feels a bigger space than the photos. The kitchen is well stocked to do some cooking if needed. Our 8 yo boy loved spending time with Zoey (their dog), who is just gorgeous and has such a lovely nature, he also really enjoyed being in charge of feeding the chickens and checking for eggs :-). Karen and Richard are lovely hosts, super accommodating and friendly but also respectful of your privacy, the perfect balance. It was a lovely stay and we hope we can be back soon, our son has already asked when we can go back. Thanks again Karen and Richard :-)

Absolutely wonderful! We had a lovely peaceful stay at Jen’s house. It was brilliant. Sparkling clean, had everything we needed. The BBQ was great. It was so relaxing. Our little dog loved his stay too. Jen is a fantastic host

Simon is an amazing host. Very friendly and welcoming. My wife and I stayed along with our Beagle and felt extremely comfortable. Very happy with the accommodation. Simon's place had everything we needed plus more. I highly recommend it if you need a place to stay in Newcastle. Simon won't let you down!!

Wir haben uns im wunderschön eingerichteten Haus sofort wohl gefühlt. Alles war blitzsauber und mit viel Herz und Geschmack ausgewählt. Es hat alles was man braucht in guter Qualität, ein sehr bequemes Bett mit toller Bettwäsche und eine herrliche, ruhige Umgebung. Wir kommen definitiv wieder (und unser Hund wäre am liebsten gleich geblieben ;-) Ein toller Ort zum entschleunigen und geniessen, vielen Dank Summer & Scotty!!

Stayed at Jess and Luke’s as a stopover before a flight. They were helpful and responsive hosts. Very welcoming and warm place - everything we needed. We arrived fairly late and it was dark, and someone came out to make sure we were okay and pointing us to the lock box. Felt a bit like we were accessing a secret hideout which was extra fun :D Thanks Jess and Luke for having us!

Check in was fine, everything else was really good. Description was good to what was proposed and the value was good.

This was a great stay with a beautiful view of the channel just across the road. Plenty of walk ways to either walk or ride around Swansea. Boat ramp only a couple of hundred metres away. Great big front deck for sitting and watching the boats go in & out the channel. Would definitely recommend this place & would stay again. Kitchen stocked with everything you need
