We really enjoyed staying at Niagara Ridge Retreat. The house was comfortable, view was amazing, and we liked the location.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It has everything you need in an excellent location, I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful old cottage style house. We were blessed with two nice days in the Catlins. No wifi and then having no service as tower went down in Owaka area on second day, was a blessing as we were more connected and happened to be staying in the best place for it, as the house is filled with board games. We had so much fun playing different games. The house is full of childhood nostalgia. Loved it.

We had a lovely stay at Leane’s place. She was super responsive and helpful. The house was spotless and we felt right at home. It was the perfect peaceful country escape. The alpacas and sheep were also very friendly.

Wow! An absolutely unreal night. The place is so cute inside, has everything you’d ever need. Comes with blankets, towels, 2 bathroom robes (which are incredibly soft) and so much more. All kitchen intensive are there and they even include a small pantry of goodies for you to use including eggs, milk, oil, seasoning, breakfast and some nice coffee. Incredibly kind hosts! The scenery is truly beautiful, and a private area to get away. The hot tub was pre heated for when we arrived which is a great touch and we were given enough wood to make it last the whole night. Due to the lack of light in the area, the stars were like I’ve never seen before too! One of my top and favourite Airbnb experiences I’ve ever been on! Very recommended booking!

Lovely homey cottage in Waikawa. Our family of 5 enjoyed the 3 bedrooms, the living room, and nice wood stove, the peaceful surroundings. Well situated to explore the western parts of the Catlins. The house had good cooking equipment, helpful as we cooked there every night. As instructed, we came fully loaded with food for 3 days. Wonderful star gazing and total silence at night.

Great house for our family grandparents, daughter & 3 grandsons. Beautiful views & short walk down drive to swimmable beach, wildlife sightings. Close to Kaka Point Beach & Point cafe, Tunnel Hill, The Nuggets Lighthouse.
