Floncy and Kondwani's home was an unforgettable local homestay base for us. This is the ultimate place to immerse yourself in Malawi culture. This community is a true village, with closeknit connections and an opportunity to meet many locals. The hosts are a young family (they have an adorable 3 year old as well), and they are incredibly kind. We opted for full board, which was amazing. Floncy is a wonderful cook, and we enjoyed learning how to make traditional dishes with her and chatting with the family during meals. We loved exploring Livingstonia by foot and on motorcycle taxis. The family also runs a community-based organization that is helping local elders, and we enjoyed volunteering with them! We've been traveling for 8 months, and this is one of our favorite places from our travels.

Davie was an absolutely amazing host and helped us with everything (application for the visa, picking us up at the bus stop, buying Sim card, showing us around and things like that). At his home we where part of the family although we just stayed for 2 days. But the whole family was really helpful and nice to us. We got food 3 times a day which was very delicious (local food that was cooked by his wife and we ate it with his family). Davies home is located in Karonga close to the lake and also close to the bus stop and shopping opportunities. So if you want to make an awesome experience and stay with locals and learn about their culture i can absolutely recommend this homestay.

Enjoy wholesome local cuisine, clean and authentic colonial accommodations in a beautiful environment. The Primary School and Nursery school are very close and guests are encouraged to get involved with the staff and students and you truly get an insight into life in the rural areas. The hosts were also very attentive and they were on hand to make sure everything went smoothly. Considering this directly benefits the school and the students that attend, we couldn't recommend this enough! Highly recommend this to anyone that wants an experience of the beaten track and also wants to contribute to a very worthy

Jam’s place in an amazing and outstanding spot in Lilongwe. Enjoyed my stay in the spacious, cozy, calm and beautiful Bougainvillea - and the pool area was a plus in the summer heat. The place got my highest recommendation and the host was also communicative and attentive during my stay.

this place is really special - beautiful surroundings, private pool, beautifully designed and equipped. Jam was very helpful and available for questions. the location was convenient, but a bit hard for taxis to locate, and data is not always available, so be prepared with analog map and instructions. But once you know you know, and I will be back!

Great Stay in a Perfect Location Bruno’s Airbnb is in a fantastic location—close to the city center and right next door to August House, which has Coco’s Café, Preciou’s Spa (offering lovely beauty treatments), a boutique, and a few other great businesses. Within walking distance, you’ll also find Kaza Kitchen, Urban Cafe, Bumpy Road, and lots of other cool spots to eat, drink, and explore. The room itself was comfortable, with a good bed and mosi net and a nice hot shower. It was peaceful and quiet at night, making it easy to relax. Bruno was a wonderful host—welcoming, sociable, and really flexible when I had car issues, which made everything much easier for me. I even got to join him and a friend for a lovely evening. His housemaid was super friendly, and his dogs were friendly but a little smelly. All in all, a great place to stay. I would come back again—just wish I remembered to take some photos!
