Monica's house is spacious, cozy and clean. It is minutes a way from convinience store and got everything you need in it. We saw aurora just at the backyard. When we arrived it's still got lots of snow in the yard, but the road had been cleaned before we arrived. The host is very kind, responsive and offer us a flexible check in. It is really really recommended!

La casa está genial, con una televisión enorme y sofás para descansar. las vistas desde la casa son espectaculares. Pudimos ver auroras boreales desde la puerta de casa. Los anfitriones fueron muy amables y contestaban muy rápido. Perfecta para alojar grupos o familias que quieran disfrutar de unas vacaciones tranquilas.

Das Haus von Silje liegt an eine sehr schönen fleck. Perfekt um eine entspannte zeit zu verbringen und runter zufahren. Man kann vom Haus aus perfekt die Polarlichter sehen.

This place is such a hidden gem! Tucked away in little town surrounded by mountains, this is such a comfortable place to stay. My biggest regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Great hosts who were very communicative and made sure we got there and got settled. Only suggestion I would have is bring plenty of food for the stay as the town is a bit far, and make sure to spend lots of time outside at night. There is virtually no light pollution so you can see thousands of stars.

Fin og koselig hytte med en flott plassering, hvis du ønsker å komme deg bort fra alt annet kan jeg anbefale denne. Var også godt utstyrt med det man trengte for å både bake og lage mat ellers! Følte oss som hjemme med en gang!:)

Really agreeable stay. the house is rustic and cozy, really warm during the cold winter, in nature with a private access to the fjord. It's also quite private.

A lovely cabin set beside the river. We arrived late at night and were amazed at the view that welcomed us in the morning. Pleasant walks in the snow along the river into Skibotn, saw moose late one afternoon. The cabin was warm and well equipped. We enjoyed just sitting watching the birds at the feeder and generally relaxing. Some walking through the snow was hard going at times but enjoyable. Took a short visit into Finland while out for a drive one day. Would recommend this cabin to anyone. Thanks Bente.

We had six wonderful days in Tom Ivar's house. The location is perfect as starting point for chasing auroras or activities in the nature. The surrounding is stunning whereever you look. The house is very spacious and cozy. It is well equipped with everything you need. Tom is very helpful and responsive. We got answers to all of our questions within seconds. We would definitively recommend this accommodation to everyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful area around Tromsö and the Lyngen Alps.

Oppholdet gikk på skinner, godt merket så man kunne finne fram. Enkelt å låse seg inn, stedet var som forventet, alt hva man trenger er der. Anbefales videre.

By renting the little cabin, Marianne and George open the door to their little paradise. In their place you will feel love, real nature and one of the most beautiful landscape ever, even the drive to and from Tromso is breathtaking. For people seeking a true experience in nature this is the perfect place. The cabin is remote, a step back in time, no mod cons and this is it’s beauty. A cosy, warm little haven in the beautiful wild. It is well thought out - all the instructions given by Marianne and George, and noted around the cabin ensure your stay is seamless and answers all the questions you might have - it is important to listen to them, especially as you are in the middle of the wild, responsible for your own warmth and staying in someone’s home. You are stepping back in time, at one with nature. This is a magical place. Marianne and George are kind and welcoming people. In the middle of an area flooded with guides and tourists and impersonal experiences they are a true find. Passionate about nature and the aurora, experts in the region (Marianne is a local). If you’re looking for other experiences whilst staying in the area - they are the perfect people to ask (especially aurora hunting). Going to the cabin is a truly unique experience. We are leaving with stars in our eyes and will definitely return.

Een prachtige locatie met heel veel ruimte binnen en buiten. Het uitzicht over het fjord is fantastisch. De kinderen (en volwassenen) hebben zich om het huis vermaakt met het zoeken naar schelpen en mooie steentjes. Er loopt een sneeuwhaas om het huis en ook de otter is 2x gespot. Bijna iedere avond hebben we genoten van het noorderlicht. Prachtig!!! Binnen is er ontzettend veel ruimte. Ideaal met 4 jonge kinderen. Ze hebben ontzettend veel plezier gehad, mede door de spelletjes die door Elisabet voor ons geregeld waren. We hebben een aantal keer een vraag gesteld en kregen daar direct adequaat antwoord op. Ook de tips over de omgeving waren erg fijn. Mooie autoroutes, maar zeker ook in de buurt is veel te bezoeken, wandelen en te zien. We hebben een prachtige week gehad. Triptip: Fjordcruise vanuit Tromso. Een 3,5 uur durende boottocht met gids die uitleg gaf over de omgeving, wildlife etc.

We loved our stay at Odd Arne's place. The owner obviously cares about the house and keeping it nice. You can tell the family also uses the house for their own use. This means the house is very complete. The kitchen provides all the appliances you may need and also plenty of utensils, pots, pans and also basic cooking supplies like spices, oil etc. to prepare nice meals. We really enjoyed the quiet location, the jacuzzi, nice fire place, huge couch and tv for chilling out.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt gehabt! Check-In und Check-Out per Schlüsselbox und alles war frisch bezogen. Auf Anfrage hat man uns auch Trinkwasser bereitgestellt. Bitte beachtet dass aufgrund der Wasserfärbung eigenes stilles Wasser mitgebracht werden sollte, bekommt man auch in jeden Einkaufsladen. Der Coop in Mestervik ist ca. 25 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und ist die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Ansonsten haben wir auch von Nachbarn nichts mitbekommen bzw. nichts gehört. Man hat tatsächlich ein schönes ruhiges Örtchen, mit herrlichen Ausblick und den Fjord und die dahinterliegende Bergkette. Der Whirpool war ganz einfach zu benutzen und ist ständig gewärmt. Die Sauna lässt sich mit Holz beheizen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche und würden wieder kommen. Über angebliches Viehzeug im Haus können wir nichts sagen, bei uns war alles sauber und ordentlich. Fahrt am Besten im Winter mit 4x4 und Spikes. Die Straße zur Unterkunft vereist gerne mal.

What an amazing location! The cabin was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Northern Lights in between breaks from the sauna!. This cabin is located in the same fjord where one of the most incredible stories in history took place. The story of Jan Baalsrud is absolutely incredible, and Furuflaten, Hotell Savoy, and Manndalan are all a stone's throw from this cabin! I strongly recommend reading "We Die Alone" by David Howarth, or watch the 12th Man (but the book is better). Long story short, this cabin is perfectly situated to experience all that Arctic Norway has to offer.
