Comfortable accommodation in a breathtaking setting. Set on a beautiful farm with loads of walking and hiking trails. The abundant animal life including birds, horses, donkeys, dogs and geese add to the relaxing feel of the farm. The view from the patio is incredible inviting you to stare out for hours. The accommodation is comfortable and has all the necessities without being luxurious. Definitely recommended and good value for money overall. Host and all staff were super friendly, accommodating and kind.

What a great find Maryke’s place is! Honey cottage is beautiful - very spacious, light and airy with a lovely covered terrace where we enjoyed our breakfasts and a glass of wine. Maryke gave us some great recommendations for hikes to explore. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great until the last day but the cottage is so well equipped and spacious we were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place if travelling to the central Drakensberg area

Absolutely breathtaking and highly recommended

This is a really lovely location, with great view of the Tugela River and the Colenso hills. Very peaceful and comfortable stay and an extremely well-equipped kitchen! The farm milk is a perfect extra touch. Just be aware that the last few kilometres are over extremely poor roads so avoid driving there during darkness.

Very cool cabin outside of town. Our family with one child had a lovely stay, and we plan to return. Peaceful, rustic, great view of mountains and stars. An excellent location close to Clarens and Golden Gate Park. We did a short hike with a great view right from our front door! The cabin is rustic, would be ideal for hikers and PCVs/RPCVs, writers and backpackers who like a good value but don’t want to deal with other people.

We had a great stay at Kromdraai. The place is peaceful and relaxing with all amenities. We also enjoyed a lovely 6km walk. Highly recommend. Thank you Ben and Phakiso.

The location was simply breath taking. The cabin was cozy. The receptionist, Nkono, was friendly & helpful. 10min drive to Clarens.

I had a beautiful stay at Riverside Cottage. A very well equipped accommodation in a bucolic environment. Kim was very helpful whether it be for the direction to the cottage or to make sure I have everything I need during my stay. The host have a great sense of hospitality and I thank them for that.

What a perfect little getaway! We felt right at home and comfortable in the beautiful farm house. It was very clean and well kept. Nestled in the mountains, but also not far from town - it's the perfect location!

Beautiful property, amazing views. Might want to bring candles for more atmospheric lighting in the evenings as the overhead lamps are very bright. Well equipped kitchen, lovely garden and easy drive into Clarens. Dogs on the property but v friendly. Lovely stay overall, we hope to come back.

We had a wonderful weekend at Domaine Sérénité! The views are breathtaking and it’s incredibly peaceful, away from the busyness of Clarens or any big roads. The location is still close enough to easily pop out to lunch in Clarens, or to explore the town and nearby Golden Gate National Park. Huy and Betty and their wonderful dogs made us feel so at home and we found the accommodation very confortable, with both indoor and outdoor braaing areas and everything we needed for self catering. We will be coming back as soon as we can, couldn’t recommend more!

The place is really modern and neat. The estate is beautiful and very close to everything in Clarens - perfect balance of living space and ability to experience Clarens. Perfect place to unwind and relax.

We had a beautiful peaceful time, the cottage was just the perfect size for our family. The view is spectacular and the walks lovely. We loved the dogs coming to visit and taking us on the walk. Will definitely go back.
