A great house for big groups. Lots of amenities for all including children. Would be a great house for summer get away. The kitchen was very well stocked, better than any place we've stayed. Lots of rooms and plenty of space in the great room for dining, playing games and chilling out on the couches. The host was very responsive to our questions. We would definitely go back, highly recommend it!

My husband and i enjoyed a peaceful stay at the cottage. Beautiful farms and a quaint little town right near us. The description of the place was accurate and we hope to stay there again.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at this charming vintage house. The decor was delightful, with furnishings and cozy touches that made it feel truly like a beach house. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, with a nice yard, walking distance to bay, restaurants and bars - highly recommend Dockside and the Tiki Bar! We enjoyed spending each night on the screened in porch relaxing. We arrived on the heels of the end of Hurricane Helene and Erin was proactive in letting us know that water had gotten in one of the doors. Everything was dry by the time we arrived, however, we did notice a slight musty smell upon entering, which was most likely due to all the rain they had received. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms stocked, kitchen is large and well-stocked. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a quaint escape.

Margie was great. She introduced herself to my son and I right when we got there. The accommodations were excellent. Beds were super comfy and everything was very clean. House sits right on a small lake in a very nice neighborhood.

My friends and I have done a number of cabin trips over the years, and this was easily the best appointed cabin I have stayed in. There is clearly so much thought put into every detail of the design, making it perfectly charming and cozy! It is also extremely well maintained and cleaned, which can always be a bit of a gamble booking cabins online, so I was grateful for that. Well situated for getting to Harper's Ferry, but its so beautiful you'll want to spend all of your time at the cabin!

The house was very attractive and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The mattresses were soft, and we slept well. The screened porch had heat lamps which were a nice touch on the chilly mornings. We enjoyed our stay very much and will likely come again! The only issue we had was the hot tub was not clean, but the owners were communicative about it and apologized when we brought the issue to their attention. Overall very good experience.

The house was cozy, accommodating and clean. The beds were very comfortable and linens were clean. It was quiet and the beach was just a short walk/golf cart ride away. If I had to make any slightly negative comment, it would be to provide more wash cloths and towels. But that was a very small detail and we just washed and reused what we had, no big deal. The owner was responsive to all our questions and accommodated a last-minute booking for us. We would definitely book this property with this owner again!

If you have the chance to go to Brightwood, Connie’s place is a can’t miss! The chalet is clean, homey, well decorated, and welcoming for a family or gathering of friends. Connie includes those little touches that make you feel at home- chocolates on the bed, extra towels, extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, and makeup remover in the bathrooms as well! Connie’s chalet is very clean and everything you need is at your fingertips. Connie was very communicative and the chalet and view was private and gorgeous. If I was ever back in Brightwood, there is no doubt that the chalet would be my first choice.

Such a perfect blend of rustic cabin/updated home in a very peaceful setting! We enjoyed the hot tub both nights and the bird & deer watching both mornings. Two bathrooms with showers was a bonus for us as I had my teen and preteen daughters with me and everyone likes their own space ;) The master bedroom is top notch...so cozy, spacious, and clean. We loved the local restaurant, The Apple House, so much that my daughter kept begging to go back there again. We had a standard sized car and were able to navigate the gravel road and hills alright but we had perfect weather. I'd definitely want an SUV or truck if there was rain or snow. If we're every in the area again, I wouldn't even look elsewhere, this would be a repeat stay for sure!
