Barb and Mike are amazing hosts and we had a lovely and comfortable stay at Tongariro Adventures. The national park is only a short drive away. The waterfront is a few steps away and there are amazing trails around the area. Barb and Mike’s place exceeded our expectations and their hospitality made us feel very welcome. Also, top marks for the amazing breakfast!!

I normally leave 5 stars because everything is fine or as expected, but I would leave this place 6 stars if I could. It’s far and away the best AirBnB I have stayed at. The place itself is very tranquil, homey and a great spot to unwind, yet also only 5 minutes into town for restaurants. Melana was such a great host from offering a welcome drink and snack, to giving local restaurant suggestions, to providing a choice of hot breakfast in the morning. I only stayed one night, but would definitely seek her place out again the next time I’m back in the area.

Absolutely lovely B&B after the Timber Trail. Many of the timber trail guides up in Ongarue seem to live in the area and are therefore happy to give a ride. The room was clean, comfortable, and nice artifacts and decor around the house, which feels like a French manor. (Also 3 friendly cats and a dog, and breakfast waiting for us downstairs in the morning.)

Such a peaceful place to stay. The surrounding countryside is beautiful - best viewed from the spa! We were very comfortable and definitely recommend to others.

Beautiful getaway experience! Amazing views, green grass, yummy breakfast and loved the private spa! The only thing the chalets need are privacy screens between each other to ensure extra privacy as you can see directly into another’s chalet/porch area

AWESOME! The best part of Geoff's place is Geoff himself! He was very accommodating of my last-minute booking, and was so helpful throughout my entire stay. At check in, Geoff makes sure to personally greet you and show you around his beautiful property (with gardens, chickens, fruit trees, and a glowworm grotto). The location is great, a 10 minute drive from downtown Taupo, near a peaceful beach on Lake Taupo, and walking trails around. The room has everything you need and is exactly as described. I loved staying here. P.S., if Geoff offers to have coffee together - do it! He has awesome stories.

I had a wonderful stay at Joanne’s who was friendly, helpful and made me instantly feel at home. We had great conversations. My room was lovely and I had a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was delicious especially due to all the homemade options. Would highly recommend to anyone. I look forward to my next visit.

Comfortable, peaceful retreat based in the beautiful Hawkes Bay with plenty to see and do. Hosts Lynne and Craig were very welcoming, provided great recommendations and the finishing touches, amenities, snacks and breakfast produce were a touch of class.

We did not meet the hosts who were unexpectedly away and were redirected to Bird Cottage at no extra cost. Communication was great, the cottage ( a renovated old schoolhouse) was spacious,very peaceful, and had all the amenities we needed. Clean and comfortable and light breakfast provided. Beautiful outlook and a great spot to break a long journey

Everything was seamless, comms, interaction etc. Tony was very friendly and welcoming. Both he and Suzi were great to chat with. Their home accomodation was very fresh, modern, well appointed and comfortable.

Totally enjoyed our two nights at Janice's place. Very beautiful rooms and a great host. Will be back.

Anne was a delightful host who put a lot of care into her space. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. She was incredibly accommodating, serving a wonderful breakfast each morning and offering engaging conversation. The home itself is lovely, with a very comfortable room featuring high-quality linen and a private ensuite. Anne’s knowledge of the local area is exceptional, and she provides fantastic recommendations, including great dining options. A truly enjoyable stay—I highly recommend it!

We loved our stay at Andrea’s place. Her house is really big and cozy and furnished with a lot of love to detail. Especially the bed was a dream! Andrea is very welcoming and has a beautiful kind hearted and positive spirit. We absolutely recommend staying with her!

We hadden een hele mooie kamer en Martin was heel behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was uitstekend. Het was een prima overnachting
