A fabulous stay of five days - made even better by a spell of great weather and wall to wall sunshine. Beautiful and varied beaches all nearby, from Waipu through to Te Arai. Accommodation layout perfect for family, children and grandparents allowing a bit of separation. Peaceful & private location. Well equipped. Lovely high ceiling living space with excellent indoor/outdoor area. Minor access issue caused by 3 year old swiftly fixed by Sarah with the minimum of fuss, for which we were very grateful.

Lisa was so lovely, and we loved staying at her place. It was even better than the photos! An amazing kitchen for cooking, a pool, a spa, and spacious comfortable areas throughout made for the perfect getaway. Lisa was super friendly and helpful throughout, we would absolutely stay here again.

We had such a great time at Chloe and Ben's. It was clean and spacious, 1 min walk (if that) to the estuary and five minutes to the lovely surf beach so you could visit several times a day. It didn't need to be a big complicated affair as it was so easy to nip back to the house for food etc. The shower was awesome - very strong pressure. Everything was provided - linen, blankets, pillows, glasses, cutlery etc and all in great condition - and the kitchen was well equipped, including dishwasher and lots of good pans. Loved that we could eat outside on the deck, there was a fenced yard for the dog to run (he was in heaven), plus a trampoline, barbecue and fire pit. The view from the deck was stunning, and the overall vibe of the place was so friendly - from other holidaymakers with kids to the people working at the campsite. Would definitely book again.

Cheryl's place is the perfect place for a relaxing break. Lovely walks along the waterfront or just sit back and watch the beautiful views from the whole living area and main bedroom. Only noise you hear is the sea as you are so close. The house is set up with everything you need for a longer stay, I stayed 4 nights. Has many things I did not make use of this time as the evenings were a little cool (but lovely and warm inside - woodburner and heatpump) but next time I will try them out. The bbq, outside fire and huge deck area would be fabulous on a sunny evening. I will definitely be back again.

Amazing property which was even better than it looked in the photos. Very well equipped with everything you need and communication with Emma was quick and easy. Pool, spa and outdoor fireplace were a big hit!

what a place!! the house is far back road and incredibly serene. we came with two young kids and 4 adults and there was heaps to keep us occupied. trip across the estuary with kayaks to these amazing beach breaks a particular highlight. The whole house has something for everyone and honestly think we may be back. Rebecca was also an amazing host and had loads of local knowledge to share.

we had a great stay here for mums 70th with the 4 grandchildren. a large property that felt like home. we enjoyed bennetts and the tavern markets but accidentally went to the wrong sand dunes (thanks to Googlemaps. i should have read Tins local instructions instead). I was pleasantly surprised that there was a double oven. this meant we were able to have dinner in the house on the first night. the girls loved the spa and plentiful toys in their room. the baby had his portacot set up in the walk in wardrobe so he didnt wake the others. mum said it was the best birthday ever. highly likely we will be back next year!

Other then an extremely unreliable WIFI connection this place was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here :)

Gem of a place just off the highway - wish we had stayed more days. Loved the little additions like breakfast provisions, toys/books for kids and horse paddocks just out the door. Amy was generous with her time in speaking about the horses. Clair and Clayton made us feel very welcome. Would love to come back and stay again soon. Unit is a little weathered but was clean and very comfortable.

Booked last minute and the hosts were responsive. Apartment was generously sized modern with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The aircon had been turned on which we greatly appreciated after travel to get there. Nice surroundings and location made Mangawhai and Mangawhai equally accessible. Nga mihi

Really enjoyed our stay again this time in Manuka cabin. Lovely and private and nicely decorated, ideal for a couple. Really enjoyed the fire pit at night, great hosts, thanks again.

Our stay at Tui & Nikau was beautiful. The place is so serene, private, and peaceful, and the accommodation had everything we needed and more. The hosts were super helpful and made the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend!

Very tidy, enjoyable place to be. Plenty of light, very open and peaceful for our 4 month old. Hammocks were a nice touch too.

Loved this beautiful, quiet spot. Was missing my own pets, so I also enjoyed meeting Scot and Binx. Beautiful surroundings.

Sundance Cabin is a in a gorgeous setting, it’s a dreamy hideaway, with lovely folding windows that allows a lovely inside outside flow. The evenings are lush here, tranquil and the fire pit is awesome along with stargazing. Guy was a fantastic host who even dropped around fresh organic fruit from there garden and kindly gave me a flexible check out. Highly recommend guys place for either remote working or holidays.
