Peleto and his wife are really warm and gracious hosts. The home-cooked meals they provide are delicious and definitely one of the highlights of staying here. The room itself is well-furmished and has everything you need. Peleto also went out of his way to help me do the Japfu trek and he always provided recommendations on things to see and do nearby. Overall I had a great time staying here and think it's one of the best places to stay in the area.

Truly a dreamy stay! This place felt like a little sanctuary - so cozy, peaceful and full of charm. It felt like home in the most comforting way, and I loved every quiet, beautiful and memorable moment there. The atmosphere has such a gentle, romantic vibe that made my stay unforgettable and the property was completely independent. Can't wait to return and relive that special feeling all over again! And Ruya the care taker was such a great help! She was always kind and ready to assist whenever I need anything. Although we didn't get to meet in person, the host's presence was always felt through her kind and quick responses. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking comfort and calm.

It’s really a very nice place to stay… she communicated very well and patiently addressed my queries. And her father and mother extremely good. They took care like their own family. Very spacious room and good access to Common area. Bathroom will be near kitchen… but it doesn’t bother me as I felt like a home. From ISBT kohima, we should hire private cab or use their pick up. (200 one way) Food - authentic fish bamboo soup with rice and star fruit juice. I like it. Each food will cost you 300. Breakfast is free. I wish to stay longer, definitely will come back for longer stay.

If you value genuine village hospitality, with a view into Naga family life - and the chance to participate in and learn about it - then this place is simply the best. The host family is graciously welcoming, friendly and helpful. I felt truly cared for and extended my stay because it was so comfortable and fun. Dinners by the fire, breakfast in the sunny garden, lively conversation with the hosts and other guests; healthy, fresh local cuisine; easily arranged outings to nearby sites. Even the pets are friendly and engaging, definitely part of the scene. Just bring warm clothes -including nightwear- during the chilly months (eg, January). I highly recommend Dawn Homestay and very much hope to return someday.

John and his family were absolutely wonderful hosts. The homestay was just the retreat I needed — the room was clean and well-maintained with all the basic necessities, the home-cooked food was lovely, and I felt comfortable and safe. Highly recommend this place to female travellers!
