Clean space with everything we needed. Area was peaceful and safe. House was as described and had the “Marfa” feel. I would recommend to others for a west texas place to stay

This place is an incredible place to stay in Marfa. Close enough to town to ride your bike in (10 min bike ride to downtown) but far enough out that the stars were on full display- something you just can’t get when you’re in town. The house is exactly as described- spacious, comfortable, stylish, clean and plenty of space. We will definitely return!

This was our 2nd time staying at this property and first time with a child (6 y/o) who enjoyed the outdoor space and cowboy pool. Great location within walking distance of downtown and all that Marfa has to offer. The host was inviting and communicative and we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here two nights, on either side of our trip to Big Bend. My friends and I loved the place and the experience.

Diane's home is beautiful, private, and so peaceful, yet so close to the centre of Marfa. It is one of the few houses with unobstructed views of the sunset over the desert every evening...seeing it is quite magical. Inside is wonderful too...airy, comfortable, and lovely interior design. A great place from which to explore during the day, and then unwind in the evening. Thanks again Diane for having us, it was a real treat! :)

A beautiful space to stay in Marfa with nicely curated furnishings, books and kitchenware. We appreciated so much the ability to walk everywhere - we never used our car during our stay!

We had a delightful stay at Calle Ocho. Annette is a gracious host. Very helpful and always quick to respond. The house is blocks from the heart of Alpine and is delightfully updated and comfortable. There are plenty of plugs for charging devices and the Wi-Fi is strong. The fully furnished kitchen and laundry area helped us feel right at home. We hope to stay here again next time we visit the Big Bend!

The Retro House is an awesome place to have a workcation. My job brings me to this area a few times a year. Stayed here for a week and was worth every penny.

The house has a ton of charm and was perfect for our family of 5. Loved the projector screen downstairs - fun for something different. The lights took some guess work, but part of the charm!

My wife, 4 kids, and I absolutely loved our stay here! Marfa isn't all that big, so everything is drivable within a few minutes, or walkable in probably < 10. The house has great, vibey furniture, is well-decorated, and makes you feel right at home in Marfa.

Have been wanting to make the trip to Marfa for over a decade, and finally did it. The Level 2 EV charger on site was a real plus for me, and before we arrived Kathryn was able to confirm that the charger was working, which really put me at ease. Everything was exactly like the pictures and having great local dining like the Water Stop and Bordo close by was a HUGE plus!

Beautiful place to stay if you want to do Big Bend and are willing to drive a little. Very clean and comfortable space. Would happily stay here again.

Can’t say enough about this listing… and Marfa. What a gem of a house in a fabulous town. The yard and the open concept & industrial feel of the concrete floors was special. Taking a hot bath in the clawfoot tub was a delight and the bed was cozy after a day of exploring. Don’t miss Bordo’s across the street for fabulous food - we went 2x during our stay. Hosts were responsive and flexible when needed and we’d absolutely stay here again.

This was a great house to stay in while we were in Marfa. The beds we very comfortable, we could tell she went the extra mile with mattresses and linens. All kitchen tools and appliances were operational and handy. Would have been nice to have a few plastic ziplock bags to pack out lunch for the day since we went to Big Bend, make sure to pack your take home containers if you have leftovers, too! Bathtub was amazing, enough hot water to fill it and big enough to soak! Extra blankets helped when my best friend kept it cold at night! Back yard was awesome and just like it's pictured. Neighborhood originally looked a little sketch, but everyone kept to themselves. It was almost like a ghost town. We felt safe and never saw anyone that we were worried about. We were very glad to come back to a clean and well appointed home after spending the day in the wind and dust of southwest Texas. We ended up leaving early at no fault of the Airbnb, but the town left many things to be desired.

Cabana Marfa could not have been more perfect for our sisters weekend. House is charming with thoughtful details. Beds are comfy, artwork and book selection are incredible and fireplaces make living room and back porch cozy. Host is responsive, attentive to detail and offers great suggestions for local dining and shopping. There is nothing negative to say other than we didn't have time to stay longer to enjoy the lovely house. Next time !!

Great location. Very clean. Really quiet at night. Some of the upgrades that make this place stand out are: real plants, touch lights in the bedrooms that have two outlets and two USB ports, nice luggage racks that include shoe racks. Parking isn’t an issue. There is nothing we needed that this place didn’t have. It even had an ice cream scoop. Responsive host. Great stay. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t be happier with “the Milky Wayfarer”! Great little home, especially if you have children. Highly recommend this spot if you ever make your way to Marfa! We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in entire lodge with another family. Everyone loved ii! Plenty of space, very clean, and the outdoor areas were great. The kids loved playing pickleball and the location can’t be beat. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Laurie’s place during spring break. We have been to the area several times but wanted to stay within the town of Alpine this time. The location is perfect. We walked to get tacos one night at Maria’s which was about a 3 minute walk and to Line Thai which was maybe a 5 minute walk. Laurie’s place was just as described. I really enjoyed the beautiful big bathrooms and was happy with the smell of fresh sheets when we went to bed. The house was very comfortable and had everything you would need. The kitchen was awesome with the massive chef style stove that we used several times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much Laurie!

Can’t say enough great things about nicks place. Very comfortable and spacious decorated with cool art and an excellent back yard. The only thing I would have to say is there was no TV which is not necessary but I do prefer for news and weather. Nicks kitchen had all the gadgets and was perfect for cooking!
