We stayed for a family Christmas get-together as the house was large enough to accommodate all of us. The area is very private and safe, and the view is wonderful. Given that we stayed in December, all of the leaves were off the trees which allowed for even more panoramic views from the bluff overlooking the Quincy Bay westward toward Missouri. Also, as a given during December, we were not able to utilize the screened-in porch. This would be a wonderful place to sit in the spring and fall, or if you were lucky enough to catch a cool, low humidity, summer evening. The location is on the north end of the city, so all entertainment and shopping is a drive into town, though not too far. The beautiful neighborhood would lend itself to nice walks, weather permitting. Penny is a great host, and was very responsive to us for questions we had during the stay. Overall, this is a great stay if you don't mind the price, or can share it with family or friends.

I am originally from the area and really appreciated how close this location was to some of my favorite spots including Maid Rite :) The house is very minimal in decoration which was perfect since I didn't have to do much extra baby proofing for my 18 month old toddler. Everything was also super clean! Very spacious for a 1 bedroom. Pack and play easily fit in the bedroom and we loved having access to the washer and dryer. We would certainly stay here again.

This is our 2nd stay. It was perfect for our group. It’s close to restaurants and the IGA. Beds are super comfortable and new. The gas grill was great for dinner and the weather was nice to sit on the patio. We will definitely stay again.

Louisiana was my hometown in the 60s. It has changed but this house has been kept beautiful. In town for funeral with my kids and Grandkids so the size of this house worked great. It had all the extras needed to be comfortable. It is beautiful.

Home was spacious, rooms well thought out. Home was baby friendly including childproofing latches on cabinets and plenty of toys. Generous hosts providing many toiletries in case guests forget. Ample parking and location close to town, yet very private. Pond on property needs some work. Fish are abundant but too small to eat, however still fun!

Fantastic host very responsive. House is very convenient to anything in Quincy. Clean good value. This was our 2nd stay.

Beautiful historic home kept up with love. It was nice to stay there when visiting the Mark Twain history and be back in those days . The house was very clean and cozy. It’s close to Main Street.

Place was perfect, worked out well, plenty of room, everything went well. Very flexible, easy to get ahold of hosts if we had any questions.

Conveniently located on the main thoroughfare in town close to multiple dining establishments and only a few minutes from downtown. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Nice and quiet with a reserved, covered parking spot. Will definitely stay there again.

The Adams Street Retreat is a cute and comfy place to stay. I loved the decor, the cozy living room furniture, and all the natural light streaming in during the day. I enjoyed working at the pretty dining room table. The neighborhood was peaceful. I’d live to stay at this sweet home again in the future!

The host was incredibly accommodating for our last minute check in. House was as described and comfortable. Cute home with alot of charm. Had amenities needed and a nice set up. Would stay here again if driving through at another time. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

We enjoyed our stay at this historic home close to downtown Hannibal. We love old fashioned things and find the value in preserving old homes, so we were grateful to spend some time in this one. The house had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. My boys loved playing chess in the parlor. The house has character and the hosts were very helpful! We would stay here again.

We stayed one night at Jessica's place in Quincy. Everything about the stay was great, clean space, quiet neighborhood, plenty to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Love this place! We’ve been visiting family for years in Quincy. This, by far, was the best Airbnb experience to date! All of the personal touches made it feel like home. Michele provided all kinds of extra”s that made life so much easier for our visit(paper plates, cups, cutlery, soaps, coffee, laundry soap, dish soap, etc). so that we didn’t have to race off to the store immediately for items she provided. LOVED the back patio and the fact that we were able to wash our towels and clothing as well. Again, huge time saver when you’re visiting family. Oh, and our teenage son spent tons of time playing basketball on the property as they have a goal! Yay! This Airbnb had cute little touches from the luxurious hand soaps in the kitchen and bathroom to the cute rugs placed in the bathroom. Great communication, super clean, smelled so nice, and the price will always keep us coming back for all of these reasons. Thanks again for the great experience! Will be back! The Engle Fam 😊
