We found the apartment to be just as described. It's in a lovely, quiet and central area. We could walk to downtown shops and restaurants. There was plenty of space for the four of us. The beds and bedding were comfortable and there was plenty of heat and hot water for our needs. Great place in Marquette.

I have so many positive things to say about this home. Barbara is a fantastic host, her son is helpful and friendly. The home, pond, gazebo and acreage are amazing. Lots of trails just behind the cabin, connecting to state forest trails. This is our second time staying at Barbs place and will totally return in the future.

The house was great for our family, two adults and 3 teens, for a long weekend. It was helpful to have the extra space on the back porch to store our skis and would be great if we come back with our bikes in the future. The location was walkable to shops, restaurants and a short drive to NMU campus and downtown. We appreciated the local coffee and Trenary Toast provided. We also greatly appreciate the time and care that was taken to clear the driveway of snow from a blizzard that passed through before our arrival!

Great location, super comfortable house, walkable to everything you want in Marquette! Really appreciated being able to bring the fur baby along as well. Thank you for having us!

This place was amazing! My three boys, husband, and dog had such a great peaceful time. There were plenty of things to do in the cabin alone! They have everything fully stocked, including tons of family games, VHS movies to take you back in time, and much more. We loved how peaceful everything was! My kids loved hunting for crawfish, swimming, and riding in the kayaks. It rained almost the entire time until the last night, but honestly, that made it even better and more peaceful. The host was very responsive when we had a little issue with our pup and was extremely helpful and I appreciated that so much. The only thing I would prepare people for is that of course being that secluded/ far out is it well water, which does have a “scent” to it. Other than that everything was absolutely perfect!! Thanks so much for letting us use your home. We would 10000000% recommend.

It was very easy to check in and out. Sally was very nice & she lives next door in case of any emergencies. Close walk distance to get to the restaurants, park & bay beach (nice spot to enjoy the sunrise & fish) which we loved the most. A very quiet, clean, safe & peaceful town. Overall a great place for family time. Thank you so much Sally for sharing your house with us.

Such a great week at Hewitt House! So close to everything, yet private and quiet. House had literally everything that we needed- kitchen well stocked, lots of games for family to play, room to spread out, well maintained. This house checked all of our boxes. Hosts friendly and responsive! Would recommend 10/10!!

Awesome place to stay for the family and the neighbors with kids were great!

My wife and I enjoyed the cabin with our dogs. The river was nice and made for a peaceful setting as well as the dogs loved playing in the river. Everything was clean when we showed up and James was very responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely be booking the cabin again.

The Lake Cottage was exactly as pictured - clean, nostaglic, modernized amentities and loads of vintage charge. We booked last minute for a New Years Eve hurrah with my husband and two children (ages 3 & 8), and my only regret is not staying longer. We snowboarded, ice-fished, played board games, did puzzles... and simply enjoyed our time together. It was restorative and the cottage is conducive to slowing down and savoring each moment. The property (albiet Winter) was spacious and felt private, tucked down the long(er) drive with a single neighbor in sight. Elizabeth, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful. 10/10, will probably book again!

I stayed this past weekend for a funeral. And I’d come back! Granted, I’m from Kingsford so I know the area. But this place is a little jewel. They even had a fire pit, with pre cut wood. What a thoughtful amenity! The host was responsive/ property clean. Everything an Airbnb should be. Kudos! 🙌🏻👍🏻 All said, a couple of minor small observations. -Dust the dining room chairs, especially the rails. (I inspected hotel rooms for 20+ yrs.). ☺️🤷‍♂️ -That sliding door didn’t instill confidence. -An electronic lock with a code would be awesome. -T-mobile internet. ($55 per mth). I’ve been staying here for the last 4 months. I have no complaints place is nice and peaceful.

It was an amazing experience! The location for this camper is perfect. Stunning and peaceful view of the lakes with beautiful sunsets. On the other side is a quiet forest. There are all the necessary things for life: kayaks, a fireplace with firewood and a great kitchen with a grill outside. Wonderful, very friendly and helpful hosts and unforgettable nature of Northern Michigan is very close. We had a great time!

Brian was very helpful and responsive. We had difficulty running the TV he helped us figure it out. He is great and the place is wonderful, this is our second time staying at his property.

Great couple days of snowmobiling! Cabin was close to trails and rentals. So nice to come in with fireplace to warm us. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. Really enjoyed the whole experience!!

What a perfect getaway for our family! The home is beautiful and we loved being able to sit on the balcony to drink coffee on the crisp fall mornings. There was plenty of wood for bonfires with ample outdoor seating. The fully stocked kitchen allowed our family to continue to enjoy homecooked meals while on vacation. We would love to stay here again when back in the area. The private secluded property judt adds to the experience. By the way, the prproperty is gorgeous in the fall. 10/10 recommend.

Great place for a family. We came here in February so didn’t get to use the pool but the view was beautiful and the house was warm and cozy.

Awesome place. Stayed here with 4 adults and 3 kids for snowmobiling. Great trail access, homey feel, nailed all of the little extras and everyone enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of riding. Thanks Matt!

We had a great stay, our second in two years. We love the feeling of being out in nature and the sense of privacy. This year our “neighbors” were two bald eagles we saw on the beach every morning while watching the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Some practical things to consider: the nearest grocery store is Jack’s in Manistique. Best to stop there before you arrive, it’s more than a short drive. And, take them seriously when they tell you to arrive during daylight! I wouldn’t want my first drive down the single-track access lane to be in the dark! If I were planning to stay there in the winter, I would check with the management company first to make sure my vehicle was up to it. When we arrived we found the EV charger not working, but we contacted the management company and they worked hard to make it right in less than 24 hours, even though it was a weekend.

We had a great stay in AuTrain on our last night the water went out but they brought us over water for toilets and took care of us regardless. Enjoyed our stay!

Nice, clean, quiet place to stay! Exactly as listed. We have an EV vehicle and we were able to charge it while we stayed. Great, fast communication! We’ll definitely stay there again! Thank you!
