If you have small children this is the perfect place to stay. Andrea could not have provided anything more - everything we could possibly need was thought of. Location is brilliant, close to the beach and about 20-30 mins from everywhere we went. We would 100% come and stay again. One of the most family-friendly places we've been in. Thank you!

Lovely house - had everything we needed. It was nice to be able to walk down to Oneroa and Owhanake beaches. The setting was very peaceful and the hottub was great. (Only a minor critique - the upstairs bedrooms were very bright - both moonlight and daylight shines in brightly!)

The Mataia Homestead was a perfect country stay for our large family group. The Homestead was really comfortable and the gardens and hills beyond were picturesque. We did the 12km circular coastal walk and enjoyed the elevated views of the harbour. A highly recommended location and accommodation!

Monica is a warm and gracious host and we loved having the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful home. It is an impressive Americal style country house, showcasing fascinating treasures. The living area is warm and welcoming, with large windows providing beautiful country panoramas. All rooms have interesting nooks to relax in and the attractive, fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms are wonderfully functional.

Amazing property which was even better than it looked in the photos. Very well equipped with everything you need and communication with Emma was quick and easy. Pool, spa and outdoor fireplace were a big hit!

Beautiful home. I dropped my wife and kids off and had them settled in while I stay at home for some renovations. My wife and kids felt right at home, loved the cozy feeling and privacy of the place. I felt like my family were safe and secure and had everything they needed whitin a 5min or less drive. Lilian is a great host, very helpful and kind. Thanks again!

Great spot for a weekend getaway in the countryside!!

If you are looking to stay in a beautiful home with spectacular views, you have just found the place! As soon as we arrived, Lynne greeted us with a big smile and a bouquet of fresh picked flowers. She was so warm and welcoming along with little dog Lexie, who was so friendly. Lynne’s place is very spacious, clean and tidy. The rooms are tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture. The bedding and linens were also top notch. The kitchenette was surprisingly stocked with fresh fruit, home made muffins, milk, water, cheese and crackers….and even a very nice bottle of wine! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed eating many of our meals on the deck, which overlooks the beach, which is less than a five minute walk away! Lynne’s small touches made our stay so relaxing that we hope to return again next year!

Fantastic location with direct park access. The most wonderful deck with great views- a joy in summer. Please note: this place doesn’t have an oven or a freezer and the bathroom is tiny, but we managed to make this place our home for a month during renovations. It may not be the ritz but it certainly does have character and a super accommodating host (with the friendliest, loveliest dog- Ziggy is definitely a highlight)

My husband I truly loved Aaron’s place on the wharf! The views were unparalleled and the penthouse spacious and beautiful, close to everything in the heart of Auckland, with walking distance to shops, supermarket , the sky tower, and the boats to go to the islands . Araron was great at communicating and very helpful , his responses were fast, he even came back to the penthouse to help us use the TV! I will stay there anytime !

This apartment was spectacular! Absolutely perfect for my stay of 2 nights before a long flight home. The view is outstanding and the comfortable couch is just perfect to relax on. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a magical stay in Auckland.

The place is amazing, very large living area with many very clean and decently spaced rooms. I wasn’t aware of the 5-10 minute gravel road the house is on. Daniel was amazing at communicating when I need to get in touch with him however the packing up procedure could have been outlined better, but other than that the four informative emails sent outlined everything needed for our stay. The view is just as amazing in person as the photos both sunrise and sunset, especially lounging in the spa.

We had a 6 day family Christmas Holiday here and it couldn't have been nicer. Daniel and Angela met us when we arrived and explained the various systems such as pool, TV, internet, etc. They were available nearby in case we needed them (which turned out we did not), but did not intrude in our privacy. The actual facilities were even nicer than the photos and descriptions provided in the AirBnB listing. One of the special things about this home displayed was the care and art that the hosts have put into it. Everything is amazing. It is ultra-private and it seems as if you are alone in the forest overlooking a beautiful valley. The view from the upstairs master suite is awesome. Our two grandkids spent hours each day in this nice, clean, warm pool. The pool - patio area was well done and relaxing for lounging between swims. . I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts.

This house was absolutely incredible! The photos honestly didn’t do it justice it was just massive and the pool with the stunning view was a dream. The projector was also such a great touch and our guests had a lot of fun watching music videos and doing karaoke in the large room. Daisy’s communication was great throughout the process too. My only feedback would be there wasn’t enough basic kitchen items such as larger plates and platters for cheese boards or any salt, pepper and sugar that we could see so would suggest bringing your own! But apart from that super minor inconvenience everything else was incredible and everyone had an amazing time! Would love to return some day!

This house is absolutely stunning. It sits on a private beach with magnificent sea views and a big deck looking out over the ocean. It’s surrounded by native bush, loads of birds and a feeling of privacy & serenity. The ocean-facing doors and windows all open up so it has a wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. There’s a lovely hot tub with a sea view too! Downstairs, there are the living spaces and upstairs, the bedrooms. The bedrooms are lovely - three large rooms with double (maybe queen or king??) beds, as well as two ‘kids rooms’ with twin beds and/or bunks. Two of the larger double rooms have private balconies & ensuites. It’s a beautiful & delightful house. Very well appointed. Perfect for a larger group, close to Matakana, Omaha and all of the lovely things to do there. We’ll be back! We have had the most amazing time staying at the villa, it was even better than the photos. The house was absolutely beautiful, huge and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable with beautiful linen, the kitchen had lovely tableware, an amazing coffee machine and everything we needed and the pool was just the best fun! Channy was extremely responsive to messages and made out check in and check out very easy. Thank you so much Channy we will definitely love to stay here again!

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

Incredible location and home for a large group looking to spend time together. We were four adult couples and two toddlers. The space was perfect, having a bunk room and separate lounge for the little ones with enough bathrooms and privacy in different zones around the house. Direct beach access, quick walk to the local shop, cafe, playground and surfclub. Can't wait to come back!

We had the most beautiful stay at Shaileshs place. The views are amazing, epic sunsets and sunrises. It’s super peaceful with the sounds of nature all around you! We held a family event at the property and everything was perfectly set up for entertaining. Shailesh was a wonderful host, they super responsive and helpful, and even left very thoughtful touches which made our stay even more special. Would definitely recommend this property and host!
