Matala : locations de vacances en bord de mer

Had a great time visiting Crete...Agia Pelagia is a fab place to stay, it's a bit of a walk up a steep hill coming back from the sea front...but unless you have mobility problems don't let it put you off.

I can highly recommend this place and Javi's hospitality! I had a wonderful time at the beginning of April in the low season. The accommodation is clean, very modern and the outdoor area is a highlight! The beach is a 5-minute walk away and there are small restaurants. A car is necessary for shopping and excursions. Javi is flexible, helpful and very friendly! It was not my last time in Javi's area.

Wir waren im Herbst eine Woche mit unseren drei Kindern in Frangokastello. Wir wurden von den Gastgebern sehr herzlich empfangen und haben sogar verschiedene regionale Lebensmittel geschenkt bekommen, darunter Feta, Gebäck und Zitrusfrüchte. Die Unterkunft selbst bietet alles was man braucht. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Ofen und die Strandnähe. In der Nebensaison ist der Ort sehr, sehr ruhig, es gibt nur eine Hand voll Tavernen in der ganzen Gegend und ein paar Supermärkte, die geöffnet sind. Das hat uns aber nicht weiter gestört.

Holiday home from home. everything good. Vassilis very helpful with lots of good extras in room. Studio clean, bright airy, good WiFi with large kitchen area, Expresso coffee machine. Bathroom a tad small, but works. Sleep quiet with shutters closed, Beach 5 minutes walk. Bus stop to Heraklion and airport 3 minutes. Private parking space. Nous avons passé un séjour mémorable à Kastri dans ce bel appartement avec une vue magnifique ! Les hôtes sont très accueillants et disponibles, le logement est parfait et le village très charmant et authentique. Nous vous recommandons vivement cet endroit !!

Die Unterkunft ist wahnsinnig schön gelegen und liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Ruhe und die Schönheit der Landschaft machen den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Jeronimo ist sehr freundlich und offen und er hat tolle Einrichtungsideen. Seine kleine Hündin hat mir wertvolle Gesellschaft geleistet. Ich bin so froh, dass ich dieses Paradies erleben durfte!

Séjour sublime dans cette Villa de Luxe avec une vue dont on ne peut se lasser !!! A 400m de la plage, idéale pour un séjour avec nos 2 enfants, Almyrida est une station balnéaire idéal pour les familles. Le contact avec la conciergerie est vraiment parfaite, une réactivité incroyable et une gentillesse sans pareil. Une Villa vraiment à conseiller dans un environnement incroyable !!! Wir waren für eine Woche mit 5 Personen in der Villa. Das Haus und der Garten sind sehr gepflegt und sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Badezimmer sind besonders schön. Leider war der Pool recht kalt, was aber unserer Reisezeit Mitte Oktober zu schulden ist. Ansonsten hätten wir ihn mehr genutzt. Netter Kontakt zum Eigentümer und ein gefüllter Kühlschrank fürs Frühstück. Darüber haben wir uns besonders gefreut. Wir würden die Unterkunft immer weiter empfehlen.

We had a great stay at this beautiful property—it was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group of five. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was a huge plus, and we really enjoyed the pool and outdoor seating areas. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the views of the surrounding area were lovely. The location is peaceful and quiet, away from the noise of the city, but still just a short drive to several great beaches. The host, George, was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. He explained how to use the smart panel to turn on the boiler for hot water when he met us at the property, but we didn’t follow the instructions as closely as we should have the first morning, which caused the water to be cold. The boiler runs for 30 minutes at a time and seems to rely on solar heating, so hot water can be limited if multiple people shower back-to-back. Turning on the boiler in advance and spacing out showers made a big difference. Highly recommend this place!

This house was unbelievable! The location was gorgeous and perfect. It felt private but also accessible and we LOVED the little town. The amenities and entire home were a dream and made our vacation perfect. The only thing better was STAVROS the host! He was AMAZING! Left us treats, helped us multiple times with recommendations, and even brought us freshly pressed oil! We definitely hope to be back!

Vasilis, the host, was amazing: always responsive and catered for our every need. The apartment was super close to the beach which we loved although parts of the beach is really rocky and so it was hard to access the sea at times (totally understandable as Crete is obviously an island!). We had the pool to ourselves which was an added bonus and we loved it. As the original pool had been divided between two properties, we had the deep end, but this did not deter our fun. The apartment itself is quite basic for the money, but surprisingly large and very clean. There are many great restaurants nearby, but Zorbas was amazing with super food and an amazing host all at a sensible price. All in all, we would fully recommend this apartment and would revisit in the future.

The home is very well constructed and the furniture is great quality. I say this because I rent 10-15 Airbnb’s a year and the furniture is always cheap. The host was great and even had presence and cookies waiting for us when we checked in. Host was responsive and helped us line up dinners. Great place 5 stars all the way

Perfect stay! Everything was clean and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Crete!

Vi har haft et fantastisk ophold i villa nr. 2 på 8 dage. Villaen var velindrettet med alt man havde brug for og mere til. Villaen fremstod meget ren, velholdt og var meget indbydende. Vi nød også poolen, som havde en fin størrelse. Der var mange restauranter og butikker ved stranden i gåafstand (ca. 15 minutter). Det eneste minus var, at airconditionen ikke kølede men i stedet blæste med luft. Det var derfor meget varmt om natten i juli. Vi vil give villaen og værterne vores varmeste anbefalinger.

We live Eleni’s villa. Superbly well equipped spotless and great location. We were greeted with lots of home baked goodies (delicious) fruit wine and raki’s. They brought extra toys for our 22 month old and regularly checked in to see if we needed anything. Second visit and hopefully not the last. Thank you (both) eleni’s for all you did to make our holiday so Memorable. Anne

Antonis’s place exceeded expectations in every way. Our host, George (father of Antonis) greeted us with wine, treats, welcoming words, and two adorable dogs - we felt at home and began relaxing immediately. The grounds were even better than the photos - the house is spacious, comfortable, gorgeous. The upstairs veranda overlooking the sea was a highlight - a perfect spot for morning yoga and evening stargazing. We kept discovering new wonders - the trail to the beach through the olive trees, vegetable garden, exquisite woodwork and masonry; not to mention the incredible views of mountains, meadows, and sea. The sound of the waves all night was a beautiful lullaby. The village is very quiet in early April when we were there. Nothing was open so we brought in all of our supplies, which was good because once you’ve made it down the mountain, you’ll want to stay put until it’s time to leave. - no quick trips into town from there! Def bring a sturdy vehicle! Can’t wait to go back!

Effie was the kindest most loveliest hostess imaginable. She backed for us, she gave us brilliant restaurant recommendations, gave us olive oil from her family, made us homemade lemonade and treated us like family. The apartment is immaculate and so well appointed. We loved our time. Thank you Effie ❤️☺️🥰

Magnifique villa au bord de la mer. La maison est très bien équipée, nous n’avons manqué de rien. Les trois chambres sont très confortables et la literie excellente. La vue depuis la maison est exceptionnelle, il y a un accès direct à une très belle plage, sauvage, nous avons adoré ! J’ai hâte d’y revenir ! Georges a été très accueillant et toujours à l’écoute. il nous a donné de très bonnes adresses pour manger et nous avons beaucoup apprécié les attentions à notre arrivée. Il y avait du vin, de l’huile d’olive, des sodas… Merci infiniment, nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances 😊

Nous avons été totalement ravis du logement et de ses équipements. Chose que je n'avais pas réalisé et qui est un poil dérangeant sont les fêtes à la piscine d'à côté deux fois par semaine. A part cela, tout est parfait. Les hôtes sont charmants et les deux propriétaires sont au petit soin. Nous reviendrons sans hésitation.

We had an amazing time in this apartment! The terrace has sea view, the apartment has everything you might need and even more, everything was clean and cozy. The location is in the middle of restaurants and bars, so in the evening and at night you might have to deal with some loud guests and some music, but we just closed the terrace doors and slept peacefully.

We had a great time staying at Galini apartments. Erini and her husband were helpful responsive to any queries. There was always raki, watermelon and coffee available! The apartments were clean and a short walk to the beach, restaurants and supermarket.
