Wir sind absolut begeistert! Somar ist ein wunderschöner, liebevoll gepflegter Ort. Der tropische Garten und das wunderbare Pool lassen einem richtig gut entspannen. Wir haben das Haus mit Küche gebucht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet, wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist köstlich und reichlich. Die MitarbeiterInnen haben uns stets unterstützt und unseren kleinen Sohn bespaßt. Ganz in der Nähe sind schöne Strände, super Lokale und der Bahnhof Midigama für kleine Ausflüge zB nach Galle. Wir hatten eine richtig tolle Zeit und können Somar nur herzlich weiterempfehlen!

Wow just wow! From the moment we made contact with Eranga we were so well looked after. Even before we got to the wonderful house we were had our transport organised to take our family of 5 from Colombo Airport to the AirBNB we were then helped with settling in and greeted with coconuts. Whether it was hire cars, recommendations for activities such as releasing baby turtles into the ocean Eranga was our guy! The house itself has everything you need and is spacious clean and tidy thanks to daily visits from lovely helpers around the house and garden. Air Conditioning is amazing and works really well. The ocean is steps away from the house which is situated in a surfers area. Make sure you visit the Sandbank restaurant for well priced food, music and Thursday night ping pong tournament. Peacocks running in the garden and the friendliest dog ever. We loved this place and would return in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our Sri Lanka trip so memorable. Just amazing!

We had an amazing stay at Janit's place! The property is a steal deal at listed price. Spacious rooms and loads of sit outs to chill with your gang. Best suited for groups of 5-7. Janit is a gracious host and was always just a phone call away. I would highly recommend this place for a family get together or an escape with friends. Looking forward to returning to this amazing hidden gem soon.

Beautiful house and garden. We felt totally at home, and so well looked after. There is a caretaker who lives in a house on the grounds so you have the peace of mind that there is someone there should you need anything and he keeps the place secure. We also had a team come every morning at whatever time we wanted to make us the most amazing breakfast- pancakes, waffles, fruit, roti, dahl, eggs, tea etc. It was a 10 min walk to the shops and beach and easy to grab a tuk tuk back when we wanted. Air con was great. Pool was beautiful. Monkeys and peacocks entertained us in the morning. Can’t fault the place.

Our stay at the Soulhouse was incredibly wonderful. We had an unforgettable time. Elspeth is an excellent hostess. She looked after our well-being at all times and fulfilled our wishes to the best of her ability (eg. Pilates with Rosie :)) The staff in the house was also very obliging and looked after us very well. The breakfast was extensive and we were able to decide on a daily basis with the cook. We also requested a large BBQ, which was a complete success. The prawns, crabs and fish were of the best quality and bought directly from the market. Great importance is attached to the ambience, the furnishings and the cleanliness. The house is in the forest and on one side you look out over a large field. We saw countless animals. However, you need a car to visit the village or the beach, as the house is a little out of the way. This was not a problem for us. We really enjoyed the vibe. We all felt very comfortable and would come back in a heartbeat.

Staying at Pavithri’s place in Mirissa felt like being welcomed into a home away from home. She and her husband took incredible care of us - treating us like part of their family. Pavithri is an exceptional host with one of the fastest response times we’ve experienced, always helpful and thoughtful. She not only recommended local activities like snorkeling but also came along and helped arrange everything. We received a 10% discount on the snorkeling trip, which was totally worth it - we saw turtles and had a kind, friendly guide. Pavithri and her husband even drove us to these spots in their car and kindly offered us their bike to explore. Their home is beautifully decorated - one of the most charming Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. Breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and felt like home-cooked comfort. Mirissa can be quite humid, and the ground floor bedroom doesn’t have AC, though the two upstairs rooms do, so that’s something to keep in mind. Highly recommended!

We were so lucky to discover the Coconut Cottage as our first place to stay in Sri Lanka! Andy was an incredible host, booking us transfers from the airport, meeting us at the house on arrival, sharing a wealth of local knowledge and was super friendly and responsive during our stay. The house is only a two minute walk from the beach, cafes and restaurants of Hiri and very clean and stylish – and we all (family of four) loved the pool and back garden (and watching the monkeys swing around in the trees!). Thank you Andy and Sachira for a fab stay! Would highly recommend.

Süßes kleines Häuschen mit einer schönen Terrasse und Garten. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Chamara und seine Familie sind sehr herzlich und haben mir zum Abschluss sogar ein sehr leckeres Frühstück bereitet. Absolut empfehlenswert diese Unterkunft!

What can I say, but.....wow! we had 5 kids and 4 adults on our holiday and this house could not have been more perfect. The amazing breakfasts every morning, teh huge pool, teh cleaning service done beautifully each day. wow. wow. wow. loved it all. Thank you!

The beautiful Beach House - Reef House - is located in a quiet spot in Madhia overlooking the ocean. The location is around 20 to 25 minutes drive to Mirissa beach with Welligama beach little further ahead. The location worked perfectly for us since our intention was mainly to relax and step out for short outings. While one cannot swim in the ocean in front of the house, we enjoyed the soothing sounds of waves & dips in the pool. The reef house is tastefully done, comfortable with basic amenities including good wifi. There’s a room on the ground floor which is perfect for elderly guests or anyone who might find stairs challenging. Swell cafe for coffee fix is right opposite the house. Charitha is cordial, prompt with replies & is available to answer queries. Indika is kind & took excellent care of us. Siri cooked us delicious meals. This was our first time living with pets and to be honest Gaston and Bella were a delight to have around. We had memorable stay at the Reef House.

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

Wow, I couldnt recommend Blue Height’s more. It is in the most perfect location for Hiri. Everything is right there yet your high up with the view to watch the surfers catch their waves in the peace of your own garden. After just a weekend I feel like I’ve had a month off! It’s thet restorative. Lovely discerning staff who provided excellent meals on request. The whole place is Great value and extremely comfortable. If it’s available for your stay book straight away. We will be back as soon as possible. Thank you .

We had the most incredible stay at Lace House! The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous—spacious, beautifully designed, and right by the sea. One of our favorite parts was being able to climb down the rocks straight into the ocean. It truly doesn’t get better than that, especially for a surf trip! A huge shoutout to the wonderful team on site—Udaya, the manager, was warm and welcoming, and always ready to help. And special thanks to Praboda , the chef, who really went above and beyond. He graciously prepared a crab dinner for us on our first night, and it was hands-down one of the best meals we’ve had. The food throughout our stay was fabulous—fresh, flavorful, and served with such care. Thank you, Katy, for hosting us in such a magical place.

The villa was immaculate and felt so homely as soon as I arrive, my family then arrived and 2am and the villa manager stayed awake to greet them. Jerome and his wife were beyond hospitable and the team cooking and cleaning the same. The food is exceptional and exceeded expectations. The villa is situated a few steps above the beautiful, what felt like our very own private beach. This stay was peacefully surrounded by rice fields - only a 15-20 minute walk away from the beach and main road. You get a private, standalone house with well-equipped kitchen (can always ask for more equipment from their professional kitchen in the main house) and very expansive bathroom. The wifi is well enough to work online and do video calls. In the shared lounge area you can also find a peaceful spot to read or do some work at a dedicated desk. The pool was cleaned multiple times a day and the staff was respectful and kind. Sampath managed the place with kindness and hospitality. He reacted very quickly to our messages and requests. He even helped us out to do groceries, offered to do take-out for us when we had to work one evening, recommended restaurants in the area and connected us with a place for our visa extension. You never felt that you were bothering Sampath and he came by to discretely check if all was OK for us each morning and evening (without being intrusive).

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cocoya! From the moment we arrived, we couldn’t believe we got to spend two weeks in such a magical place surrounded by coconut trees and stunning natural beauty. The house was even better than we imagined - beautifully designed, perfect for the tropical climate and full of peaceful, relaxing vibes. The pool was a total dream - we spent so much time there just soaking in the sun and enjoying the serene atmosphere. Everything about the place felt so natural yet effortlessly luxurious. It had the perfect balance between comfort and a connection to nature. Also the place had a perfect location - close to Ahangama's beach and restaurants but far enough to feel completely isolated from everything. We felt incredibly lucky to call this place home for two weeks. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience - we’re already dreaming about coming back!

Amazing stay with the most wonderful staff. Thank you so much to Indi, Kelum and Anil for taking such good care of us. We stayed for over a month and we were made to feel at home for the whole stay. The garden and pool area is so relaxing, the view from the kitchen and dining area is lovely and the location is ideal. Could not recommend Ebb and Flow enough. Thank you again to all of the team! x

Overall we had a great experience, was there for my bachelorette and the staff really put up with us. Only complaints- a few of the lights and fans were not working and were not fixed. We were definitely given tap water, one of the can was filled with tap water, I’m assuming they ran out of water in the night and one of the staff had no choice but to serve us that. Would still give the stay a 5 star review was the host was kind enough to help with local recommendations and the staff was there to help whenever asked.

Beautiful villa in great location close to the beach! Jude the host was very responsive, helping us arrange taxis and meeting us at the property. They were also flexible with check in/out times which was very helpful. The property was amazing, large and clean with security guard on site. Jude and his wife also cooked us an amazing dinner one evening. Would definitely recommend!

The stay was extremely comfortable; located in proximity to several beautiful beaches. The bnb is very aesthetically pleasing and completely matches the pictures provided. It also has all the requisite amenities as mentioned in the description. Don, the host, was very helpful and accommodative to our requests.

We had an amazing stay at the villa!the hosts are so friendly and loving and very helpful :) The villa is amazing, the perfect holiday destination in Mirissa because you don't have the heavy traffic and the garden feels like an oasis!
