Joe and Odette have a charming place set in beautiful gardens with goats and friendly cats and of course hens and chickens and roosters entertaining us. The cottage is very comfortable in a lovely location with the bonus of a large deck to sit on and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Joe and Odette are the most charming, friendly, thoughtful and accommodating hosts. I would definitely stay again. It is like staying with family.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was immaculate. Check in and check out easy. Everything we needed for a relaxing break. Appreciated having the basic pantry items and fresh bread, milk butter and jam on arrival. Great location. We enjoyed getting back to the house after our outings and got a lot of use of the plunge pool which was fantastic and great outlook. Very private and not overlooked. Love the covered deck and outdoor furniture. Great showers and comfy beds. Would definitely love to stay again. Thank you!

Wir waren mit unseren 3 kleinen Kinder für 5 Nächte zu Gast bei Joseph und Odette und waren mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Die Kinder durften im Garten spielen und mit den Katzen, Hühner und der Ziege Bekanntschaft machen. Odette hatte viele gute Tipps für Unternehmungen und das gemeinsame offerierte Frühstück jeden zweiten Tag war sehr reichhaltig und super fein. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Zu beachten ist, das Haus ist nicht klimatisiert, sodass es recht warm zum schlafen ist. Das Haus ist aber gut belüftet, sodass es nie feucht war. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

Hard to even say all that was awesome about this place. A new location for us so we were eager to see this side of the island. Albeit not in a location of swim beaches it is about 10mins from town and Muri beach and, if wanting to, walkable distance to Vilis Burger Joint and a well stocked supermarket/fuel station. The house layout was amazing, well designed and styled. Front lawn was perfect for our active 5 year old, with some $1.30 balls from Raromart in town. All amenities that were needed were there including washing machine&dryer, hose for washing down wetsuits and sandy shoes, clothesline, bbq, outdoor table, kitchen appliances, towels, WIFI, Smart TV, clearly marked rubbish bins etc. Communication with hosts was excellent and easily able to connect with them in person too. As mentioned, a new location on the island for us as we usually stay more west/southwest, but would be keen to stay here/Matavera again. As too would our friends on their first visit! Meitaki Ma’ata!

We stayed here for 4 days and we really enjoyed being in your home. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms really spacious. Thank you for allowing us to check in early and check out late I really appreciated that. Rachel and Avoca I want to thank you both for being kind and awesome hosts. This was home away from home and I highly recommend this place to any families who are looking for a comfy place to come hang out when you are done at the beach. This place was the perfect stay for people like us. We are not resort/buffet breakfast types. This place was clean and quiet, chickens running around, fruit growing on the trees. Despite being away from it all - there is a large convenience store and a burger joint close by. Small details like good coffee/tea/milk etc was considered. Great air con, a good washing machine (handy) and lovely outdoor space to lounge in. We also hired the scooter in the shed. The hosts were lovely and very responsive. We left feeling so relaxed and will definitely stay again. The fold out bed in the lounge was comfortable and I slept very well on it.

Me and my family enjoyed staying at Anna’s Airbnb, very spacious, right by the sea, although you can’t swim there as it’s rocky they provide reef shoes, you can watch the sunrise or listen to the waves crash is peaceful and there is a beach not far from the Airbnb if you want to swim. Vilis burger and Kaps gas station was a short walk which had almost everything you need. Outdoor shower was convenient. The amount of towels were good too. I would say the house is really hot as there’s no AC but there’s fans & the breeze from the beach. I did find there was a lot of ants which is expected but other than that the place was a 10/10 & my family really enjoyed being there, we didn’t want to leave 😢 Thank you Anna 🌺

Modern, well designed little spot tucked away from the main road - we loved our stay and super convenient to have the Cook Islands Coffee Company (look for the orange cone on Sundays, Weds, and Fridays) and the grocery so close at hand. A short drive into Muri too. All the windows are screened which means you can get the breeze without the mozzies, beds were comfy, kitchen had everything you need
