Beautiful views! Very peaceful. We enjoyed every moment, from waking up seeing the water to watching sunsets from the dock! We loved the grill and hot tub area! Had a blast!

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

Richard was very responsive and kind, he worked with us on a flexible check out time. The spot is an incredibly peaceful getaway.

The house was beautiful with great views to the surrounding marsh and river. The gaming shed is a great touch and includes heaters and an AC unit, depending on the season. Good size fire pit and plenty of fire wood and fire starters (under sink). We enjoyed exploring the surrounding woods and fishing off the dock. Everywhere was well stocked, including plenty of spare items in case anything was forgotten. The house was clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our time there.

To say this house was a dream come true would be an understatement. From the moment we drove up the long driveway and laid eyes on the picturesque setting of the red house nestled in the woods, we fell in love. My 17-year old daughter walked in and said the pictures online did it no justice and she is exactly right. The house was immaculate, with every feature you could possibly imagine. The technology throughout was unbelievable. Google Home in EVERY room. TVs with surround sound. A game room that kept us busy for hours. A karaoke machine. It was a much needed getaway. Our dogs were in heaven with the acres of land to explore on walks. I have never felt so relaxed. I just can’t say enough. I love the city of Cape Charles but honestly did not want to leave this house. The host, Dave, was so great with communicating, even before we arrived. We will definitely plan another visit here! I would say the only downside was getting carpel tunnel trying to beat high scores in the arcade room. ?

Unlike most of Airbnb listings, this place really is a gem. The layout of the home was open, yet private. Each bedroom was perfect and I had a hard time deciding which room I wanted to sleep in. Ultimately, I chose the master bedroom which had a king-size bed, it's own thermostat and a door that led out to the closed in porch that faced the water. Watching the sunrise each morning was worth waking up early for. The kitchen was well equipped and had items that were not listed. The keurig coffee maker had a drip and pod mode and there was coffee available. The yard was large enough that it felt private. Our host was friendly and I felt like I was her personal guest. I definitely would stay here again!

I really enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was really nice not being disturbed. The dock sits on the water and was a great way to spend the morning with my coffee and nature.

Such a great location - just a short walk from the beach. Front porch is a great place in the mornings and evenings. The dining room and living room fit our group well and we squeezed in the bedrooms (4 couples + 6 kids all 3 and under) but it was perfect since we spent most time outside anyways! Adam was super helpful and quick to respond when we needed a few items. Would definitely visit again!

I cannot find the words to express our families stay. When I say this was the best stay at an ABNB we have had thus far it was. The outside itself from the landscaping to the scenery was breathtaking. Checking in was a breeze. Once inside pictures cannot begin to show the beauty of this property. The hosts have really thought through a guest experience. They went over and beyond hosts duties adding extreme attention to details. Anything and everything you may need or want for your stay was there. Even with all the extra amenities and the beauty of the home our family instantly felt at home. We loved our stay so much we have already booked our next stay.

Our stay with family was a blast! We had beautiful weather for our stay and the front porch was our favorite for hanging out! And the fireplace was nice and cozy on the cooler mornings. The location is so convenient for walking downtown to restaurants and shops. Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise!

The home sits on a nice point of land at the end of a quiet road. It is a nice mix of early 20th century charm and modern with spacious living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The living room and large deck allow unobstructed views of the water. The home is well-kept, clean, and includes everything you need for a pleasant getaway. And, it is a short (10 min.) drive to the shops and restaurants in Kilmarnock. A relaxing, recommended stay.

Loved our long weekend at The Little Gray House…it reminded us of a nostalgic beach house (with updated amenities, i.e. WiFi, hvac,!) We loved the bird watching and the peaceful, quiet surroundings. It had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our three night stay. The house was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well stocked with every conceivable utensil provided. Even though there are nearby homes the property still feels very private with nice views of the water. We managed to observe herons, ospreys, and multiple bald eagles. The provided kayaks were great and the launch platform made it easy for us neophytes.

We had a wonderful week at Gwynn’s Island. Access to the private pier was perfect for morning coffee and fishing all day long. Gorgeous sunrise views on the deck and easy access to the beach. We can’t wait to come back!

Very nice cottage right on the water. Rooms are nice size. Quiet street not far from town. Wish i could have stayed longer. I would definitely book it again next time i am in the area.

The views are spectacular and it was the perfect place to relax. Lauren was incredibly accommodating of our schedule and always responded promptly. The house is lovely with all the amenities you can imagine. I definitely recommend Locust Hill!

the place was great. I love that the water was easily accessible with the kayaks. the long dock was pretty nice. I generally rent out lake houses when I get away and this house did not disappoint.

Lovely home in a serene neighborhood. The pool was such a blessing as it was very hot and muggy the week of our stay. We also appreciated the central air conditioning! The house had everything we needed and made our stay very easy and comfortable. The neighbors were very friendly and welcoming as well!

This home was located amongs trees, the views were spectacular! Easy access and instructions from Heather. This was the perfect place to relax, or just sit outside and listen to the birds. Quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors! The kitchen had all the necessary items needed to cook a meal and much more. Breakfast was enjoyed looking out the tall windows with a view of the creek and the sounds of birds and peacocks! I will highly recommend this place! We left with great memories, we shall do it again! I will definetely stay here again!

Joan’s place (and Joan) were absolutely lovely. Upon arrival, we were struck by the adorable cottage. It’s in a quiet, peaceful, and serene neighborhood. The screened-in porch was a little haven for us and our dogs in the morning and better yet at sunset where we had spectacular views. Joan was responsive, helpful, and very sweet. Highly recommend this stay over and over. We plan on returning ☺️
