It was a beautiful location. Pretty cute apartment with two bedrooms. Surroundings are pleasant, small market within walking distance. Great stay on budget.

Good place for a short stay. Everything looks like the pics, it was spick and span, heater and geyser are available, there is a restaurant opposite. The kitchen is well appointed. Only drawback for me was the height of the bedroom ceiling upstairs. The low ceiling made sitting up in bed impossible,also had to bend down just to get onto the upper level. Batista is very helpful and recommended a great driver as well.He was also helpful in making guide arrangements for Mawphlang sacred grove and the David Scott trail. Be aware that Mawphlang in general seems very cold compared to the rest of Meghalaya, in my experience, as we visited Shillong,Sohra,Shnongpdeng etc all of which were much warmer. It was 7 degrees at night in Mawphlang and we visited in March,which I think is summer for Meghalaya.We struggled with the cold and were thankful we were there only for a night.

Both Mr. Anshul and the caretakers were extremely polite, friendly, and supportive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was assistance with local recommendations or making sure we had everything we needed, they went above and beyond. The space itself is perfect for a large group of friends or family, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. If you’re looking for a refreshing getaway amidst nature with great hospitality, this is a must-visit! Highly recommended

Nestled amid pristine forests overlooking a scenic river valley and terrace farms of the Mawwan villagers, this cottage is a perfect retreat for travellers who are willing to forego some modern day comforts to spend time in the lap of nature - hiking and exploring. It, of course, has all necessary amenities like geyser, electric kettle, running water etc. Some small touches to the cottage like the windchime, a bohemian style tiny living room and chairs to lounge outside have added to its charm. It is remote, so not many eat out options available. There is a restaurant from where simple meals can be ordered. It's always better to carry some light and non-perishable food. The caretakers stay in the vicinity, yet the cottage appears secluded - peaceful and private. Plus, the sunrises and the evenings are an absolute treat. It's a thrilling, relaxing, romantic getaway all in one.

Nice and comfortable stay. Best place was location, 1 minute walk to the boating area.

The kitchen is equipped with every appliance you could need, plus extras that make you feel right at home. Every detail has been thoughtfully arranged to create a welcoming and comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home.If I get a chance, I will surely visit this place again.

It was a small cottage with two rooms, it was clean and modest, easy to locate- 3-4Km away from Mawlyngong village. There was a caretaker, who was very helpful. However, for the price paid, it was expensive.
