Maya Beach, Seine Bight : locations de vacances en bord de mer

We visited Placencia during Tropical Storm Sara (Nov 2024). As we have never been in a tropical storm (snow blizzards are what we are used to), it was a panic when traveling into one with our 2 children. All we ever want is for them to be safe. Tracy was kind to let us check in a couple hours earlier for peace of mind. Thankfully - the storm hit north of us and the weather improved through out our stay. We love the location - watching and listening to the waves facing the Caribbean, and then having the lagoon on the other side. My kids swam every day in the pool, even when it was pouring rain. Rosa, the caretaker, was extremely friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay here again next time we visit. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. We didn’t use the bikes.

There were 12 of us that stayed for about 6 nights. The staff was extremely accommodating and respectful. Brenda came every day to clean up/make our beds/and do our laundry. Manuel was our chef and did an amazing job. Even tho we came in the rainy season, we had full sun during most days. It was very well worth it and I’d recommend to anyone with a large group staying in Placencia :)

Andrea was a great hostess. She was very attentive and helpful. It was very comfortable for two people, Super well appointed. The sunsets from the lanai were spectacular! Make sure you take advantage of Edward, the juice man, who delivers fresh local juices, and the fish vendor who comes by from time to time. There was great birding from the lanai! Having access a 10 minute walk away to a resort on the ocean side with the breeze, the palm trees, and a restaurant was fabulous. We were there during an unexpectedly wet “dry season“, which made the bugs problematic. The airport noise was a little more than we expected, but you get used to it pretty quickly, and there are no planes flying at night.

Die Hütte ist direkt am Strand mit Meerblick. Schnell von der Bushaltestelle oder dem Water-Taxi-Dock zu erreichen und trotzdem mittendrin im Küstenort. Für mich war es die ideale Unterkunft.

Our stay at Mission Bay Villa was absolutely incredible! The location and the home were perfect for our family. We were so impressed by our maintenance groundskeeper, Jorge, and our housekeeper, Yeymy – the villa was always spotless, and Jorge quickly took care of any small issues that arose during our stay. Our concierge, Erica, made trip planning effortless, and Romaldo, our chef, prepared delicious meals for us throughout our stay. We highly recommend Mission Bay Villa to anyone looking for an unforgettable vacation experience!

Great property with many options for multiple families/groups. We had a group of 18 and rented 3 houses, all just steps away from each other. The space has a perfectly small pool, nice deck area, and is so quiet. It was clean and looked exactly like the photos. We did not get daily maid service and every house in our group ran out of necessities (toilet paper). The water from the faucet is drinkable and the toilets can take toilet paper. The showers don't get super hot, but are soothing with hot weather. TV/wifi was easy to navigate and Beth was extremely responsive. The kitchen does not come stocked with any food/spices. Pick up salt,pepper, butter, oil if you intend to cook. I highly recommend you ask for a cook for some meals. A breakfast fed 16 people and was $150 usd (and delicious). Rent a golf cart & pay to have it dropped off and picked up. Lots of fun to be had in this house!

What a beautiful oasis. Chris is a lovely guy who was really helpful and interesting. If you’re looking for peace then it’s off the beaten track enough that you will be surrounded by nature and chilled vibes. Felt lucky to stay here. Will definitely be recommending it to all people I come across in the coming months! Thanks Chris and the team 😊

We enjoyed our stay at Marsh Madness. The property was beautiful and offered everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We had the best of both worlds to include a swimming pool and the Caribbean Sea (kayaks provided). It was a fantastic base camp for all of our adventures in Stann Creek and the Toledo districts and it was easy to find and access. The residence comfortably housed five adults and the kitchen area was great for cooking and socializing. The balcony overlooking the sea was probably my favorite. The host was receptive and always there if we had any questions or needs. We had a great stay and hope to return soon!!!!

Michelle and Ed are the best hosts! They helped us with anything we needed and made us feel at home. The space is absolutely gorgeous. There were drinks and treats waiting to welcome us after a long day of travel. We enjoyed the pool daily and the view of the ocean can’t be beat. The location is perfect. It’s close enough to walk to stores and restaurants, but just a short drive from everything else. We highly recommend this listing and can’t wait to book it again.

I’ve fallen in love with Placencia and plan to visit a few times per year. I’ll definitely be scheduling my visits based on Megan and Phil’s availability. The apartment was so spacious and cozy. I really wanted to be able to cook this trip so a full apartment was perfect for that. The patio and hammock were hands down my favorite part of the accommodations. All amenities were present and are kept updated and functional. Additionally, Megan and Phil were always available and friendly. :) Big thanks to you both and I’ll be seeing y’all again soon! :)

We stayed in the mermaid cottage and it was lovely, clean, and comfortable. But the true treasure were the caretakers, Jose and Sylvia. They were friendly, patient, and very very helpful. Jose gave us recommendations for very unique Belizean experiences that we never would have found otherwise and helped us with even our most high maintenance needs/requests with a smile. They both really went above and beyond and felt like family by the end of the trip. We I didn't particularly love the rain shower in the bathroom. One of us has thick curly hair and it was very difficult to rinse. It would be awesome if the hosts invested in a detachable shower head to go with it. Also a sad reality is that a lot of garbage washes in from the ocean. The caretakers do their best to keep it clean but it's a nonstop task and there are only 2 of them. I would love to see the hosts hire atast one more caretaker since it's a lot of property to manage. Otherwise no notes.

Herbert place was peaceful, clean, and inviting. We all 4 enjoyed our stay and loved being greeted by the local 2 dogs everyday. The morning sunrises were amazing. We took the kayaks out twice in the morning and enjoyed the view and all the beautiful birds feeding in the shallow sea floor while the sunrise glistened. The beach was clean, but everyday plastic would be swept in by the tides. Not a lot and no fault of the host Herbert. My husband and I would pick it up everyday. Only because we are activist about a clean earth. I wish all people would recognize this problem. Thanks Herbert for the great communication and your beautiful home. We all had a great time.

The location is great, steps from the beach and a short walk to the marina/‘downtown’ on either the beach or pedestrian sidewalk. Britany and Charisse (in the office) were extremely responsive and friendly. We had no issues, and this is definitely a place we would return. Thank you! ☀️

We are a family of 5 and recently stayed at La Vida Belize. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The plunge pool, beach and dock were the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure. We enjoyed being in a quieter area and didn’t mind the distance from the main area of Placencia. We rented a car and explored several areas in Belize during our stay. We used the guestbook for tips about the area and places to eat near Maya Beach. The grounds keepers were friendly and kept everything nice for us during our stay. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. During our week stay, some of the activities we were able to do included: snorkling with Captain Jak’s, visit the Bocawina Nation Park & Zip-line Adventure, fishing, a Monkey River tour and visit some Mayan Ruins. We also spent a good amount of time relaxing and reading on the beach or by the pool. We recommend staying here.

The Ellysian is my favorite place to stay while visiting Placencia, Belize. The hotel is extremely modern and spacious. The pool and deck is perfectly nestled right in front of the sandy beach and beautiful palm trees. It’s the perfect get away to get away. More importantly, or just as important as the aesthetics is the exceptional customer service you will receive while staying here at the Ellysian. You’re greeted with smiles from the second you walk in. Everyone is helpful with suggestions of places to dine, things to do and even tours around the way that we would enjoy. This was my second time staying at the Ellysian and certainly will not be my last. Cherilyn, Vanessa, Camille and of course Ms. Jean young contributed immensely to my comfort and satisfaction during my stay. I couldn’t ask for better service than these women provided. Thank you all and I will see you all shortly.

The unit we stayed in was spacious, right on the beach but not touristy and the grounds were maintained daily.

Great accommodation! We really enjoyed our stay at the Coconut House. The house was comfortable and the view was amazing!

Had a great stay and would definitely come back. House is spacious and well stocked. Host is very responsive. Loved the location minutes from the beach, stores and restaurants.

Placencia is an absolute gem. Incredible community with great Caribbean Sea access, lots to do and great food and bar options. The property itself is far enough away from the hustle bustle but close enough that it’s accessible by golf in a few minutes. Note: you will need to rent a golf cart, but Captain Jak’s was great to rent a 6 person cart. There are a couple of nice restaurants easily walkable - Mariposa and La Dolce Vita. Both very nice! Hearing the waves as well fall asleep at night was fantastic. And the beds were firm and some of the better quality i have stayed in at an Air BnB. Kitchen had what we needed but we mainly ate out. The outdoor balcony area was amazing and the pool was fantastic for the kids. Very quiet and peaceful complex grounds. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Laylo. Beautiful beach in front, nice swimming pool, quiet, safe and nice restaurants in the area! Jessie was flexible with our arrival as I thought it would take much longer to get through the airport and to Seine Bight! It was a lovely place and we would stay again in a heartbeat!

Our family of four had the perfect stay at the Moonflower. It was just as described. Clean, spacious and with a truly unbelievable view of the Caribbean. Easy to walk to coffee shops and restaurants. The host was very accommodating when we arrived unexpectedly early. Hammocks in the yard, plenty of space for kids to play. Felt safe and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Great location with basically a private beach. Lots of space and such a relaxing place. It is a little bit of a drive to the restaurants and where the tours depart from but it’s all one road and a straight shot to them. Easy to communicate with the host and very safe.
