Positives: Gorgeous isolated location! This is what we were looking for since this was a working retreat. Air conditioning worked extremely well in the heat. Negatives: No cell service on AT&T most of the time due to remote location. Evolve was not involved at all in resolving issues, the biggest of which was a smoke alarm that made huge noise (not chirping) for more 2 hours when there was no smoke and not even any cooking. We couldn’t work during that time and every hour of quiet work was crucial. Evolve punted responsibility to a local maintenance person who does not have a cell phone! In the end, the maintenance person showed up and simply removed the smoke alarm. Dollar General is 11 miles away. Kroger much further. Stull’s general store is 5.9 miles away and not adequate for supplies. Other than the smoke alarm and no cell service, the venue was excellent for a work retreat and taking breaks at sunset to take pictures. Just know that you’re on your own and be prepared.

My three brothers and I shared this "Brocation" with our male offspring, sons and cousins, for a full week. Five arrived on Monday and four more arrived on Friday. We had a great time getting to know each other again and learning more about each other. The sleeping arrangements worked out great, because three of us brought extra air beds. We identified one real change we all agreed would make the River Cabin better, and we shared it with Vince while we were there. As pointed out by others, we felt the main floor should be a designated eating a game playing area and the downstairs have the furniture and a larger screen TV for those not playing the games. Due to the vaulted ceiling and solid surfaces it was near impossible to watch TV while other played a game or two. Our unanimous agreement, , was to either dispose of the pool table, or move it out to the porch (cover it with a waterproof tarp) and set up the downstairs as a TV area. Main floor, a larger table for eating & games. IMHO

Cheryl's place was great. It has everything I was looking for, and worked out perfectly. It was clean, well maintained, and matched the description and photos perfectly. Also, Cheryl was great. With her communication and friendliness, I felt right at home. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Great place to stay! We went for a girls trip and wanted something a little secluded but not too far from the city and the location was perfect. The house looked just like the photos and was very clean.

Marrianna was a wonderful host and great with communication. She was able to accommodate our late check in and was helpful with recommendations and making sure we didn't need anything. The house was as described and we appreciated that it was so reasonably priced. We'd stay here again if we're in the area.

Pop’s Hideaway was perfect for our group!! It had everything we needed, plenty of space and it was as described in the listing!
