We had an opportunity to stay at this beautiful homestay. It is in a very happening place within Shillong (Laitumkrah) and there are a lot of quaint little cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The homestay is perfect for families with two separate rooms. It looked exactly like the description and the attached photos. The rooms were very clean. The kitchen was stocked well. Every day the host and the caretaker left us a breakfast basket which included Bread, Eggs, Milk, Water, Tea and Coffee. This was really sweet of the owner and the caretaker. There is ample parking space within the Property. The roads are a little narrow but this place is easy to find and the caretaker was very helpful. Lon Scandy has been extremely responsive for any queries and was very helpful in some local recommendations. Highly recommended homestay for anyone planning a vacation in Shillong.

The Longwood Residency truly feels like a home away from home. My family of four had a wonderful 14-night stay here in March 2025. Scandy's recommendations for local attractions in Meghalaya were fantastic. He also suggested reliable tourist taxis, which made it easy for us to explore Shillong and the surrounding areas of Meghalaya. The residency is ideally situated in a peaceful neighborhood, with some of the best restaurants within walking distance, such as Olivia's Kitchen, Deja Vu, and an elderly lady selling delicious soup and momo in the evenings right in front of Deja Vu. Don't miss out on trying the snacks next to her as well! The place is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and equipped with kitchen utensils perfect for preparing a light breakfast—though not suitable for heavy lunches or dinners. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The place is extremely well-maintained, with crystal-clear cleanliness and a fascinating bathroom that sparkles in the beautiful sunlight. The well-equipped kitchen and quality crockery added to the comfort of our stay. The linens and sheets were fresh and clean, making the experience even better. The only issue we faced was some disturbing noise from the floor above at night, which affected our sleep. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would love to visit again!

The place is clean and well-maintained

It was a great stay. The kitchen had all needed amenities. The bed linens provided were clean. We felt right at home. Best thing was the location which was right at the center of Laitumkhrah (it was the primary reason we stayed at this Airbnb). Thank you for hosting us!

It is a fantastic place for stay. Nightview of whole shillong from the Terrace and the resturant is the main point of stay there.
