What an absolute gem of a little getaway, Fiona is a great host and the shepherds hut is absolutely perfect for what we needed. The addition of homemade bread, milk, butter and jam in the fridge is such a lovely and thoughtful touch. Nothing will prepare you for how big and relaxing the hot tub is, we absolutely loved sitting in it and listening to the wildlife. The hut is really private and has its own little garden, we had breakfast lunch and dinner outside as we were so lucky with the weather! We will absolutely be back, thank you for having us!

I have so many great things to say, so to keep it short I'll bullet point. - Great location/community - Private - Friendly and responsive hosts - Clear instructions and tour - Clean and comfortable - Felt very welcomed - Also a bonus of a cat that sounds like a sheep :) Planning to go again, later this year. We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! The shepherds hut is a wonderful retreat into a peaceful and very relaxing world where you can take life at your own pace. This beautiful and secluded setting gives you the chance to be free. We spent many relaxing mornings and contemplative evenings relaxing in the garden both in and out of the hot tub, laying in the hammocks or just sitting on the recliners. The bed was super cosy and comfortable and with hidden storage under, bags and cases can be tucked away and we never felt cramped. Well equipped with a clever oven which is also a microwave we were happy to cook meals inside. As it was warm for April we also made use of the BBQ which had all tools provided. Fiona is a wonderful host who makes super cookies 😊 and provided a warm welcome. There if you need her but never intrusive.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Our dogs absolutely loved the space and it was perfect for them to really stretch their legs. The cabin was super cozy, we stayed during a bit of a temperature drop so it was around -3 at night but the log burner was so warm we didn't even need a jumper on! Along with the temperature drop came some snow and we actually ended up getting stuck on the hill on toward the entrance but Mark answered his phone immediately and rushed down in his Land Rover to give us a tow up and nothing was too much to ask, we felt super accommodated. Thanks again :)

A fantastic place in a pretty, serene location where you can chill by the fire pit. The kids loved the hut and the amenities and brought them away from their devices and into the outside!

We recently stayed at Andreas Shepherd's Hut in Cruxton, and it was a delightful experience. Nestled in a serene rural setting, the hut offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodation was charmingly rustic yet comfortably modern and the interior was well-appointed with thoughtful touches that made it feel cosy and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable and the small kitchenette was equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay which we made the most of both mornings and evenings. The hut's location was perfect. Surrounded by apple trees and rolling hills, it's ideal for leisurely walks, relaxing outside with the fire pit or enjoying the private space alongside the river. The lack of light pollution in the area allowed us to view the Milky Way when stargazing one evening which was the perfect addition to our stay. Andrea was super accommodating, ensuring that everything was in order and even dropped off a homemade Dorset apple cake!

Great place for a retreat, well tucked away great views of the countryside and Bristol in the distance. A welcome pack of Bread, butter, home made cake, bacon eggs and sausages. The hot tub was fantastic. Park and ride to bath 5 min. Can’t recommend it enough great felt so chilled out staying here.

We spent a fabulous two nights at "Lucy ". The hot tub was great, we were lucky to have one clear night to star gaze. The area is fantastic with the York Inn a short walk away with lovely food. the hut had everything we needed, super cosy . We nearly finished the jigsaw!

We had a lovely couple of nights in Herdwick hut at Laverstock farm. The farm is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around it seeing the animals, particularly the pygmy goats, and even had a couple of games of table tennis in the games room. The area around the hut is very private and peaceful, although you could hear some chatter from the cottages above at times. The hut itself is really pretty and cosy and we loved being greeted by the cows in the adjacent field. The separate kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, with the added bonus of marshmallows left by the host! One thing to mention is that the shared washroom is a walk away, up by the cottages, but it was clean and offered products and towels. A relaxing and lovely stay.

Our stay at Nicola’s shepherd's hut was absolutely delightful. The location is idyllic, offering a serene escape where you can fully relax and immerse yourself in nature. The hut was incredibly clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy and comfortable retreat. Nick and her mum were both amazing hosts, ensuring that everything was perfect for our stay. Their hospitality truly made the experience special. I highly recommend this charming shepherd's hut for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful getaway.

Had a fantastic weekend away with our two dogs, who had such fun playing with Daisy. The most important thing for us was the enclosed garden which was fully stock fenced and our terrier was unable to find anywhere to escape! The hut inside and out had everything we could have wanted and has been built and furnished to the highest standard. Mark and Rosa were very communicative prior to arrival and so welcoming on our arrival. Having stayed in quite a few shepherds huts, this was our favourite by far and we will definitely be visiting again soon, highly recommend.

Me and my best friend had the pleasure of staying here recently the view was amazing. The beds are so comfortable. We had the luck of having a beautiful sunset to be able to watch while we relaxed. Elizabeth is so helpful, a lovely kind lady and hopefully we’ll be able to come stay again.

We enjoyed a calm and relaxing stay. The hut was clean and well presented and we really enjoyed the scones, jam and cream when we arrived! I received some upsetting news during our stay but this was the perfect environment to help me feel calmer. The space feels very private and we felt at home. It was so lovely to see the chickens and ducks running about and to sit on the bench by the river. We would recommend to anyone 😊

This was a good little find with the back garden basically being the new forest. If you’re lucky you might catch a quick glimpse of a couple off deer’s on a walk like we did. Also a few different types off birds. The location was ideal not far from Bournemouth if you want to spend the day shopping or at the beach. Or like we did we went Alpaca walking. Walks round the forest. Then back to the little home from home with the hot tub logs on the go for a nice soak in the hot tub heated up the traditional way. The hosts were very nice and helpful. So a big thank you. But the best bit for me was my dog fix 😁 lexi there lovely dog become my new best friend when we was there. She Sat with us in the evening and when we woke up she was waiting for us out side the hut. A really behaved dog. Even when we had a bbq she didn’t jump up or even try getting to the food. Really enjoyed our time there. I would definitely go back.

Beautiful rural getaway!! Chloe was so helpful with making sure the hot tub was ready for the evenings, the shepherds hut was a perfect escape for us as a couple, with beautiful views, privacy and a very cute lodging with everything we needed. The furnishings and details in the shepherds hut were so lovely and made a very small space feel like a cosy home. Super easy to find and enjoyed a couple of nice walks in the area. Will book again!

This was probably one of the best Airbnb's we've stayed in, the photos don't do it justice! The place was spotless and had everything you could need. Lots of local taxis available to take you into Wells (10 mins max) where there are plenty of lovely pubs & restaurants. The hot tub was amazing, very easy to use and the hut was much bigger than we expected! Lou was an incredible host, so welcoming and hospitable, always replying super quickly to any questions and very clear instructions. If you are looking for a rural, peaceful, fun get away, we couldn't recommend this enough!

Beautiful place to stay - completely private and quiet. The hot tub and pizza making top off a stunning little getaway. All the lovely little touches and attention to detail made it feel really special and not ‘just’ an Airbnb but a luxury getaway. Luca was brilliant. Thank you for a magical stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Angela’s. A luxurious and romantic cabin with everything we could’ve needed. ‘Holly’ has a super comfy bed and we loved the wood fired hot tub, log burner and wildlife on the doorstep. Watching the stars at night from the hot tub was magical! We would definitely come again and recommend to our friends. Angela was really helpful and friendly and she has done a fab job with the cabin and fitting everything in to the space in a clever and stylish way. Thank you for an amazing and memorable weekend. A lovely place with top-quality touches and great attention to detail. We had such a relaxing stay - it was so peaceful looking out over the fields with horses. The bed was comfortable, and the whole space felt warm and welcoming. Parking was easy, and we really appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket with breakfast items, drinks, and snacks. Dilly was a fantastic host, and the location made for a nice walk into Lacock. We would love to come back.

We came and stayed at the hut for my boyfriend’s birthday weekend , this was the most beautiful little private space for us, we adored staying here. We enjoyed having a fire inside the hut, keeping us warm and toasty, as well as chilling in the hot tub outside the hut. The bathroom and kitchen were lovely and clean & the bed book was so cozy!! Thank you so much for having us. We will be recommending you to all of our family and friends!
