Absolutely the place to escape reality with peace and genuine comfort. Outdoors, you're faced with an overlook to the river, a fireplace laid with cement block tiles, alongside firewood chopped and placed to use, a trail leading to the dock with benches to sit. At NIGHT you have access to a lit themed patio with the flick of a switch. 3 things have a remote-the t.v, the ceiling fan, and the air conditioner; the ceiling fan being the coolest. This is an EXCELLENT getaway vacation, stay, or visit spot. The home feels like a "SMARTHOME" Expect mobile data to not work here unless connected to the home's WiFi or a drive 10min out for service. Fishing- I don't recommend it, currents rough. House has: spices, toiletries, cookware, detergents, soaps, etc. The road to the AirBnB is rough. Con: Rattling noise from the laundry machine when nothing is in it, hand washed dishes are more proficient. If you stay, I left salt, pepper, paper towels, and cleaned the house. Amazing stay OVERALL thanks 🫡

My husband and I and another couple stayed at The Blue Heron for a long weekend, hoping to get some golf in. Shelly was helpful prior to our arrival with grocery and dinner suggestions. We were able to find the place with no problems and had easy access to get in. Very quiet location. Did not see anyone the entire stay. The main house was the perfect size for 4 people. Living room/kitchen provided enough space for us all to be together. The deck would have be great space with the fire pit and outdoor seating. We just happened to come during a 4 day nonstop rain. Which did make for great sleeping. The boathouse provided space for the couple we came with. It had a queen bed, small sitting area bathroom and a great view. The main house had a great loft for the other bedroom. The bed and pillows were amazing. Although we did not get one round of golf in, we did find fun things to do in Lexington. It was very relaxing and we look forward to coming back when the weather is better/warmer.

Julie is a fantastic host. She was very proactive in making sure everything was to expectations. The place is quaint and easy to navigate. Enjoyed it very much. Will rent again

Our family stayed a night while passing through. Great deal, cozy and cute place. They had snacks set out which Is always a huge win when traveling with children.

Amazing stay in a very scenic location. We loved the fire pit at night and the porch swing in the mornings while drinking coffee. The place was well stocked with dishes, coffee supplies, toiletries, etc.

Jeff’s place was perfect! Much more breath taking in person than the photos! Beds are soft, hot tub and tv outside were perfect! We will definitely be returning soon!

3rd time we have stayed here. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place. The mornings and evenings on the deck with coffee or a drink are amazing. Alona makes this place what it is. She is very attentive and helpful, always ready to help you make your stay a memorable one.

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Harrodsburg! This host has taken an older home and made beautiful updates along with maintaining the older charms of the past . It was very clean and organized. When you walk in, you will see a preserved fireplace space with a comfortable living area decorated with a railroad design . This unique theme is throughout the home . There’s an adorable coffee table with a train engine as a base . Unique pieces are everywhere. The host has placed a book in the unit with historical details of the street area and how this home relates to the railroad . The home is very charming with lots of amenities. The host was very responsive. The beds were comfortable. You’ll love this place !
