The house is great, beautiful view of Loon Pond, easy to find, a bit close to the road. The inside is like living in a family home. I mean knickknacks and family heirlooms everywhere. Travel books filling bookcases, grandma's handmaid pierced lampshades; it has all the kitchen utensils anyone would ever need, great game room downstairs, lots of water craft in the garage. While our kids are in the flew the coup category, this is an ideal place for middle/high school kids during summer. Gentle shallow slope into Loon Pond, which is really a good-sized lake. Cathy is extraordinarily responsive (IMHO) our example was a brief issue on arrival, she was about to make a long drive to resolve, fortunately it wasn't necessary, fixed itself! Response time was always in minutes We brought our two border collie dogs (they are like family) and outside, needed to keep them on leash due to road proximity. Our visit was late Sept, and we wanted to mostly go hiking, so did not do any water activity.

Similar to other reviews, Anna and the house were amazing! Anna thought of every detail to make the house cozy and welcoming. The decor was beautiful and inviting. There were toiletries and breakfast items to use and everything was super clean. Anna was responsive, helpful and friendly. The jacuzzi tub and massage chair helped make it a wonderfully relaxing weekend away. This house was exactly what we were looking for to de-stress. And many really nice places to eat within 10 mins and good amount of places that had gluten free options like a GF bakery and Fratellos who had amazing GF pizza! We will definitely be back!

This was a great find! Host was very proactive with communication the whole trip. Upon arrival there was also a welcome basket waiting for us with instructions for everything around the house, recommendations for things to do, and even some snacks! Airbnb is right on the lake and main area has floor to ceiling sliding doors that give you an amazing view the of the lake. This allowed us to fully enjoy the beauty of the space even with the rain we had during our stay. The hot tub was also a major attraction that we enjoyed thoroughly. While we didn’t use them, there were also several other amenities available like a grill, paddle board/kayaks, and a fire pit if you were to come when the weather is warmer. Was a very cozy space and felt like one of those “they think of everything” airbnbs with a lot of small details throughout. The two bedrooms upstairs are close quarters, but it’s perfect for a weekend getaway with close friends or family.

Great spot in Gifford for a winter family ski vacation. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made our stay for the holidays very comfortable including Christmas stocking treats for our dog.

Melora’s home is lovely. The view towards the lake is breathtaking, especially with fresh snow. The home was clean and had every kitchen utensil/machine you could need. Most of our time was spent on the second floor and was such a great hang out spot for the 6 of us and enough space to do yoga as a group in the morning before heading to Mt Sunapee to ski/snowboard. Overall, Melora has a lovely home and she is very kind and always available to answer any questions or resolve any issues. Thank you Melora for letting us stay in your home.

Anna-Lisa was a wonderful host - very responsive & helpful. The house is great - very comfortable and neat amenities (basement tv setup was a big hit!) The lake is very small but lovely

We were blown away by the kindness of Alyssa. I reached out in advance to see if they had fishing poles my boys could borrow- she had them waiting with bait! She also had s’mores ingredients waiting for us that left our boys overjoyed. The little extra’s meant so much to us! Thank you!

My husband, 15 year old son and I stayed at Jim & Janet’s cottage #5 last week. I could not recommend it more! We had the best time. The check In/check out process was smooth. Jim & Janet are wonderful, friendly hosts who are super communicative. The location of the cottage was amazing being directly on the lake. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The access to the paddle boards and kayaks was great and made for a lot of fun days. The cottage’s close proximity to Alton Bay is also a plus because it’s such a cute and easy to navigate area with a few restaurants and great scenery. The hosts’ local recommendations were spot on. We couldn’t have asked for more with our stay. The cottage was the cleanest rental we’ve been in so far. We got so much in that we wanted to and also relaxed with the beautiful scenery. It is such a hidden gem! Thank you Janet and Jim! We hope to return again!

This Airbnb exceeded all expectations, offering everything we could possibly need and more. The space was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and stocked with thoughtful touches that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in a peaceful and scenic area that provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. From the cozy amenities to the host's exceptional attention to detail, this place truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

What a wonderful weekend stay! We arrived to the house with it fully prepped for us - heat already on (it was a cold weekend), bathroom set up, towels present, etc. We felt immediately comfortable. It was about a ~15-20 minute drive to any restaurant/main area. The outdoor hot tub was definitely the highlight (also set up for us prior). Watching the snow fall while comfortably sitting in the hot water/jets was fantastic. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, oil, spices, etc. - everything helpful for home cooking. Alexa was friendly, responsive, and flexible with us. It’s clear she’s experienced with hosting and making our stay a seamless experience. I could not recommend her home more (and would definitely go back in the fall for some quality beach time!).

My friends & I appreciate the nice level lawn with fire pit & space to play cornhole right next to the water. The cottage itself has a good sized living room and additional sunroom / dining room so there is always space for sit-down meals and games! Much of the cottage is the original 1952 finish, carefully kept while modernizing the systems, appliances & fixtures. A great place!

My friends and I are photographers who make an annual fall getaway. Mike's place was beyond what we hoped for! It started with great communication--Mike answered any and all questions very quickly and offered additional suggestions of places to go and things to do. The house was located way off the beaten path on a very private road, right on a large pond. The scenery was gorgeous and we didn't really even have to leave the property to find beauty! We really enjoyed relaxing on the porch with it's fire table in the evening! Hopkinton is a beautiful small town that we enjoyed exploring! We hated to leave, but all of us look forward to booking this amazing place again very soon!

Tom and Kayla really outdid themselves with this cabin. They were very flexible when we needed to postpone this trip for a whole year due to illness. They were super responsive and were able to help with a few things. It was the perfect place for our needs.

Was looking for an offseason peaceful location to get together with a couple friends to celebrate a 50th bday and David's cabin was perfect! Scenic views from the deck overlooking the lake. Even with a rainy weekend we had a blast in his perfect well-kept, organized cabin! Excellent communication throughout the booking through our departure. Thank you you! Joe

This was our second time at Harold's camp. We love the charm and history of the cabin and hope it NEVER changes. The location is peaceful, beautiful and has everything you need for your stay. Amanda was an exceptional host, very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend staying at her cabin but be warned....You will find it hard to leave! We hope to be back in 2025, thank you for the memories. 10 Stars! BW

Took my family for a fall getaway to the cabin. Everyone loved it. The room with the lake view was my favorite, although it is definitely a summer room as it does not have windows. Great for big families. Very private and peaceful. You cannot beat a lake side stay. We played Rummikub for 3 hrs one night! Left with many forever memories. Thank you!

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The place was absolutely clean, and stocked with the most thoughtful touches—snacks, a bottle of wine, lux soaps and lotions, a wonderful selection of coffee and teas (one day tried the Keurig, next tried the Nespresso). The pillows/beds were perfect! And can we talk about the KILLER hair dryer?! Every detail was so well thought out. If you’re looking for a place that goes above and beyond, this is it. While I couldn’t ski due to a recent ACL surgery, I spent the entire weekend here while my family hit the slopes—and it was bliss. Cozy, peaceful, and just minutes from the mountain for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. I’m already excited about coming back in the summer and fall to experience the lake in a whole new way. And a HUGE thank you to the incredible host for the kindness and generosity in letting me check out late due to my injury—it meant so much tome and my family. Honestly, the 5-star rating doesn’t do it justice… this place is a 10 star gem.

the ice house was an adorable charming lake side cabin perfect to unplug and unwind. very rustic but also had everything we needed. the boats are a nice addition. while there are some houses nearby, the place felt private. absolutely loved the dock and shallow area perfect for dogs (or kids) to get more comfortable in the water. coco was also extremely helpful and easy to correspond with. even ran into her mom on site while on a walk! super nice family! we deff will come visit again
