We absolutely loved our stay at Sammy’s place. The flat was easy to find with the descriptions/directions given prior. The host was very quick at responding when I queried parking (which was no issue at all). It was all exactly as described with a nice homely feel. The bedding felt luxurious, the towels were soft, the sofas super comfy and there was even a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. The location was superb, so close to the centre of Hexham, yet very quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back or recommend to others. Thank you ☺️

We had such a great stay! The location is perfect with a mall across the street and lots of restaurants and shops. The host was very responsive which was nice because we got in later at night. The place was extremely clean which is super nice when on the road! I would definitely recommend!

We loved Ben's flat. It’s in a lovely area, equidistant between two Metro stations and an easy walk into the city centre. The flat was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. Ben's communication was excellent throughout our stay. There is nothing to fault. We hope to be back.

A lovely ground floor apartment in a very quiet area. Great public transport links. Would happily stay there again. Also good to stay in a place where the washing machine has been cleaned properly and we were happy to put our clothes in there.

A lovely well maintained property that is exactly as shown and described. The property is in a perfect spot with the beach opposite and a couple of cafes or further restaurants and bars about 10 minutes walk away. The property has a fantastic host, who is fast to respond to messages or queries. Highly recommend it, definitely will be returning in future.

We had a great stay. The apartment was perfect - stylish, clean and had everything we needed - including some good board games to play. We were in Durham to look at the university and it was a great location to look around the city - an easy walk along the river. The host was so helpful - friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you!

Gary’s place was ideal for our family getaway! We have a 2 years old and 1 year old and it was the ideal place to stay. Gary had gone above and beyond to accommodate us and ensured our sleep arrangements were thought of. He also was extremely generous in leaving lots of wonderful treats such as bread, snacks and milk. Gary was extremely responsive and friendly which made the stay even better. Gary’s place is right next to the beach and shops so a great location. It was also very clean and spacious! Would highly recommend.

This is our second stay in a Wooden Star Cottages property and it won't be our last. The furnishings are immaculate, the kitchen is properly outfitted, and the location is outstanding. There are many thoughtful details in the property, but the best recommendation is the bed and linens are top-notch and everyone in our party including a three year old, slept wonderfully well. Thank you Sam and Vicky for your hospitality. We look forward to staying with you, again!

We’ve just got back from a lovely stay to celebrate my birthday. The Air BnB was spotless, really big and just perfect for what we needed it for. Kieran was a great host, really responsive, made us feel right at home and had some great recommendations. Will definitely book again if we ever come back!

I grew up in that area so it was convenient for family but it's also easy access via bus into the centre of town. right near some nice take aways. Nice spacious property to allow room for myself and my wife and also a separate room for our toddler. Kitchen was spacious. Nice feel to the property. We'd been staying in rented apartments on previous stays to Newcastle. This has for sure taken its place as the priority place to stay in the future.

Emily is an incredible host. Totally hassle free and very straightforward and honest. The hot tub is private and brilliant. Very comfortable bed. Good location. We will be back, besides for recommending to other friends. Thank you Emily.

Karen is good to deal with, communications were excellent, and she picked us up from the train station which was handy. The flat is great, more spacious and more natural light than I had expected. Location is good, 2 minutes walk from the Baltic, close to the Glasshouse (both of which are worth a visit) and the Millenium Bridge across to the Quayside at Newcastle. There's a bus stop right outside the apartment block, and the Metro is only quarter of an hour away near the very large Tesco. Restaurants - Lui's was excellent; Babucho very good, as was Ravel Indian; Pitcher and Piano has great views by the Tyne, but was very noisy Friday and Saturday nights. The Hooch was a great place for a drink with nice music; Station East was very quirky. We went to Laing art gallery (good cafe too) which was very good, and the Cathedral. If you're adventurous, a 45 minute walk to Saltwell Park (buses are available) was worthwhile as the weather was great.

My parents are just home from a three night stay at Cat’s place. They know the area very well and were delighted to be in such a fantastic location. The flat itself is beautiful and so spacious with plenty of space and everything you could need to feel right at home. Cat was so helpful and responded immediately to our messages.
