Metropolitan city of Catania : locations de vacances avec cheminée

We have been using Airbnb for many years now, so when we meet very good hosts we recognise them straight away. Agatino is naturally able to make you feel welcome, the villa is very elegant and the garden is very well maintained with a very nice view of the vignard. Nothing was missing inside the house and we actually didn’t know that breakfast was included, so a nice bonus. In other words we only stayed two nights but we wish we had stayed longer.I hope we will have a chance to come back again.

À notre arrivée de nuit à la Casa de Arena, nous ne pouvions imaginer la vue à couper le souffle qui nous attendait, offrant un panorama presque à 360° autour de la maison ! Idéalement située pour visiter certains sites incontournables de la région, il nous a été difficile de quitter la maison tant le séjour y était agréable. On pourrait passer des heures sur les différentes terrasses, devant la cheminée ou même dans la cuisine ! L’authenticité et l'élégante décoration faite avec goût nous ont fait nous sentir comme à la maison. Notre hôte, Pietro, a été très sympathique, joignable et à l'écoute, tant pour les petites attentions que pour résoudre les problèmes. Je n'hésiterais pas à y retourner !

Piera and Alessandro were waiting for us when we arrived with wine and a warm fire. The place is super cozy, the kitchen well equipped and is close to all the places we wanted to visit around the Etna and Catania. It was really an amazing experience to come back home after a long day of walking to light the fire and get some rest in a calm and quiet environment. They also gave us recommendations of what to visit and checked on us regularly. Totally recommended!

The apartment was a great option for us to stay long-term in Sicilia outside the bigger cities but still close. We enjoyed our stay so much as it is calm with a beautiful view from the balcony, a fireplace inside and so many cozy corners. The flat has everything you need, is well equipped (really enjoyed the beamer for movies and the sound system for music) and Angelo was always so helpful. Acireale has very nice cafés and restaurants and after some days you get familiar with the surroundings and staff starts greeting you as it becomes a regular place. The station is a bit far but nontheless we enjoyed the walk there and so many other cities and places (including Etna, Catania…) are reachable within minutes or hours from there.

Stayed here in this quaint little seaside village off the beaten track only for 3 nights and wish we had more time. I don’t quite get what that negative review was about because this house split between 2 floors was so perfectly styled & furnished with everything you need. Definitely not your typical Sicilian holiday home. So much space in both apartments with an incredible rooftop overlooking MtEtna - & weren’t we lucky this time to see it alive. Amazing pool with lushes green gardens. Kids loved it! Great local restaurants & bars right along the water. It was about a 30min drive to Taormina but I tell you we all much preferred hanging out in this village going for an evening walk along the sea. Great experience. Real Sicily. Recommend. Wir (vier Erwachsene und zwei Kinder) hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in Salvos Apartment. Die Lage am Hafen ist einfach großartig, es gibt gute Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Haus und viele Möglichkeiten zum einkaufen und essen gehen. Danke, dass wir deine Gäste sein durften.

The house was great, and the gardens and grounds with pool were absolutely outstanding, with the most wonderful views of the coastline, and easy access to Mount Etna too, I would definitely come again (when the weather is warmer!). Our Host, Vanessa, was absolutely wonderful and was incredibly proud of her home country and the local area, and was super responsive for anything we needed.

Vincenzo ist ein guter Gastgeber. Check in und out war sehr flexibel, er war immer erreichbar und hat uns Restauranttipps gegeben. Das Ferienhaus steht neben dem Wohnhaus von Vincenzo auf einem großen Grundstück. Im Garten gibt es ein paar Spielgeräte für Kleinkinder, das war super! Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir waren zwei Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind, dafür ist die Wohnung perfekt. Man sollte bedenken, dass fußläufig kein Geschäft oder Restaurant ist und man auf jeden Fall ein Auto benötigt. Zum Steinstrand San Marco sind es nur wenige Minuten.

La casa di Walter è semplicemente meravigliosa, molto pulita e spaziosa, offre tutti i comfort necessari. Il grande terrazzo offre la possibilità di trascorrere anche all'esterno piacevoli momenti della giornata, dalla colazione alla cena, in quanto dotato di lettini/sdraio e tavolo dove poter mangiare, barbecue e un grande ombrellone. Il panorama di cui si gode è fantastico. Walter è stato gentilissimo nell'offrirci il benvenuto e nel fornirci tante utili informazioni.

We had a great time on your apartment- would definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a high quality retreat. The apartment is located in walking distance to down town aci Trezza and has an amazing view of the ocean. It was great to have private parking as we wouldn’t have felt too comfortable having the rental car on the side of the road. Niky was fast to respond if we had any questions regarding the apartment or the area. One thing we would recommend is having firewood for the indoor fireplace at hand for future visitors- as spending time looking for right kind of firewood could have been avoided. Wonderful house and location! We loved it here. The house has a lot of beautiful furniture, as well as an open terrace with a great view. The host Franco was so very kind, gave us many recommendations on local beaches and cafes

We really loved our stay. House was as described. Clean, Well equipped and cosy. Pool was great. Piedimonte area is nice, small and quiet but still good restaurants, nice cafes and everything within walking distance. The owner is super active and always willing to help. Perfect vacation!

Nous avons séjourné pendant une semaine à 6 personnes dans la partie a l étage de la maison. L appartement ne correspond pas tout à fait aux photos puisqu une chambre a été ajoutée dans le salon … mais la pièce de vie reste très spacieuse. Il n y avait pas de volets ( et pas de rideaux opaques dans le salon) ce qui est dommage quand on dort dans le salon et que le soleil se lève a 6h … et surtout pour couper du soleil quand il y fait très chaud . La cuisine n était pas suffisamment équipée plutôt rustique Heureusement que Sonia s est montrée réactive à nos demandes. La Clim était indispensable mais n est pas assez performante pour rafraîchir les chambres. Je dirais que l appartement vaut le coup pour la terrasse et la vue sur Taormina et la tranquillité s il y a du monde au rdc ( cet appartement doit être plus adapté pour un long séjour) .les extérieurs sont vraiment magiques et très appréciables en période de canicule ils sont d ailleurs très bien entretenus .

An absolute magic spot, very roomy and great fire place..

This villa is not a modern hotel but a grand estate reminiscent of the aristocracy of Italy; private, but living within the culture of the surrounding area. The grounds are lush and gated with a very large swimming pool. A car is necessary to get to other cities and/or bus stops/train stations. The GPS on our personal phones was excellent and useful in traveling around Sicily. Our hosts, Francesco and Maria, were warm and genteel. They live on the premises next to the villa so access to their assistance and advice was always available via phone, AirBNB and What's App. The beds are antique and amazingly comfortable - a recommendation would be to have additional pillows available for those who may not be back sleepers. We had 7 women from our bookclub back home and it sleeps 13 so there is plenty of space for a larger group. We would stay at the villa again if we do go back to Sicily. We had a great time!!!!

Villa Lenzo is gelegen in een prachtige omgeving. Veel privacy op de locatie. Het dorpje Ferla is met de auto in 5 minuten te bereiken. Daar zijn een paar restaurantjes te vinden en ook een Coop supermarkt. Het is een must om het diner bij Quattro Canti te nuttigen. Traditionele gerechten en de pizza Etna is een aanrader! Verder zijn er een bakker en slager te vinden. In de directe omgeving vind je Pantalica. Een prachtig gebied om tussen de rotsen en langs de rivier een wandeling te maken. Maar je hoeft er niet per se op uit. Heerlijk van de zon genieten bij de villa met af en toe een heerlijke plons in het schitterende zwembad. Er is ook een grote gas BBQ aanwezig om lekker bij de villa een hapje te eten. Voor de sportivelingen is er een tafeltennistafel. Wij vonden het een top locatie en de host Paola heeft ons van allerlei info voorzien om ons verblijf nog aangenamer te maken. Dankjewel Paola!! Kortom, een super locatie om helemaal bij te komen. We rented Paul's villa for a family holiday and had a wonderful time. The place is perfect for a large group, and the kitchen is well-equipped for serious cooking. We were a group of 9 adults and had ample space to sleep and hang out together. It was only about 30-40 minutes from the airport, and about 5-7 minutes from the center of Viagrande, which has some excellent shops for the gastro-tourist. The outdoor grounds are also very nice, but we were there in December and did not take full advantage. In short, I highly recommend Paul's villa.

Tranquil, beautiful mountainside villa about 10 minutes from Bronte with imposing view of Etna and surrounded by vineyards, magpies, and flocks of sheep. The exterior of the building is volcanic rock, giving an “old-world” Italian feel. The host, Nunzio, went far above and beyond the call of duty in welcoming us after a difficult travel in the middle of the night, helping us when our rental car ran a flat tire on the way there, making introductions in town and guiding us through city hall, recommending restaurants where I ate some of the best food in my life, and overall caring for us and treating us as family. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for his care and support while we were here.

Amazing stay in a perfect villa with the BEST hosts! Isabella was so communicative, very helpful with recommendations ( including local arancini festival) and flexible with check in/out. Villa was great and she also arranged for a pizza chef to come in one night and cook some amazing pizzas. We did have 2 cars and used them every day as not much is walking distance, but Villa is very well located for trips to beach, Taormina, suracuse & Etna … and in such a lovely Villa we had little reason to leave! Thanks again and hope to stay again soon 😀

Un lieu d'une beauté exceptionnelle, entouré de vergers luxuriants. Graziella et son époux sont des hôtes remarquables : réactifs, chaleureux et d'une grande gentillesse. Grâce à leurs précieux conseils, nous avons découvert des restaurants de qualité et des sites fascinants à explorer dans la région. Nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis chez nous. De plus, étant arrivés tard dans la nuit, ils ont eu la délicatesse de nous laisser un petit déjeuner pour le lendemain matin. Un séjour inoubliable.

An excellent apartment in a quiet secluded area if Augusta. inside was spotless and we'll arranged. Good bathroom and shower. only slight downside is the WiFi signal that barely extends beyond the living area so zero reception in the 3 bedrooms. Property is secure. Lovely pool.and separate outside bathroom. Area is quiet (apart from the barking dogs) but not much ti explore on the doorstep.

Had a wonderful time at Francesco's place! He and Giovanna were very welcoming and generous hosts, sharing local recommendations and even some home made wine! The pool was the perfect spot to cool off after a hot day and the house was well placed for excursions to Etna. Thank you both for a delightful stay !
