This B&B is a beautiful room in a tower overlooking a piazza in San Gimignano center. it is a bustling center with lots of activity with cafes and shops right below. the view out the window of this piazza includes other towers. The location is an easy walk to museums and art galleries as well as churches and there is a very delicious gelateria right below the ro9m on the piazza. The host was very helpful and runs two locations: one just outside the main city walls and one in the city center. we arrived by car and met the host at the location outside the city walls and followed him over to this location. He provided us a map of where we could park nearby and wad very responsive to all our questions. the breakfast each morning was perfect with a delicious array of pastries and cakes, juices, cereals, yogurt, fruit and eggs to order. highly recommend.

First of all, location and the castle itself is unique and beautiful. The room is spacious and exactly as in the pictures. Views were stunning. Pool was great. In walking distance (25min) you get incredible restaurant. The host is also incredible. Really appreciated his time, even though he was busy with other obligations. The only downsides could be barely working internet (if you plan to work remotely) and lack of kitchen. All in all, I feel like I’ve tasted real Tuscany spending time in the castle and exploring surroundings.

I stayed in the tower at Giovanni’s place. It was a serene getaway. The views were great. The town was wonderful. I rented a car, so I was able to use this as my home base. Would definitely stay here again!

What can you say about staying in a castle :) Although it is 1000 years old it is really modernised so your comfort stay is assured. We were situated in tower which has a lift that takes you directly to your room, so it is quite private entrance. View and interior is really beautifull. People are kind.

We had a lovely stay at the beautiful castle! Giovanni was an excellent host and provided us with good recommendations and tips around the area. The views around the castle was absolutely breathtaking and the castle itself is very very beautiful. We look forward to visit again!

Loved staying in the castle! Peitro was great and provided some excellent nearby dinner spots that we really enjoyed. The general area is beautiful. Worth stopping in at the winery up the hill (Le Filigare). The internet wasn't always reliable for video calls (unfortunately).

Muy buena experiencia, la casa está genial y la zona es muy bonita. Si tienes coches para ir a Florencia es perfecto, si no hay autobuses pero no muchos, también tienes la opción de un taxi que nosotros pagamos n domingo 65€ para ir hasta Ponte Veccio.

My guests and I have so many great things to say about this place. It is secluded and yet surrounded by endless things to enjoy. The place is unique and makes you feel immersed in the Tuscan country side. You can spend time in the enchanting village of San Donato or explore the wineries you are surrounded by. It's worth asking Pietro about the history and if you get the chance have him show you the old wine cellar hidden beneath your feet. Pietro is invested in your time at his property and will make sure you have a wonderful stay. Words can't describe the feeling you get waking up in this place. It was the highlight of our trip and will be a memory I will never forget. My only recommendation is book 1 day longer than you think you need. The village alone is worth a full day to explore and take in the culture. Thank you again Pietro fro making our stay so memorable.

We stayed for three nights and it was amazing! We did the pasta class and it was one of the highlights of the entire trip. We got to know Majla and Marco and they are very interesting people and the history of the castle is intriguing. If you are looking for a place with space and character you can’t beat this!
