Absolute perfection in every aspect. It would be impossible to overstate how much we love Criollo. Excellent service particularly from Fabiola, Vero, Elsa, and Isabel. The food is world class from the morning breads and chocolate to the six course dinners. Luis Arellano is a culinary genius and master chef. We even took a cooking class with chef Jesus- top class chef who made the experience memorable and fun. The casa itself is out of a design magazine with locally made minimalist furniture and luxurious local Oaxacan linens. All this in a private, quiet setting surrounded by beautiful nature and singing birds. Highly recommended for those who appreciate the best of the best

Sorel’s place was perfect for our group of six. The bedrooms are private and the open space is plentiful for group dinners and gatherings. What really makes this place special is the concierge service. Dian, Jesus, and Ali were amazing. We felt spoiled rotten by their amazing meals and attentive service. Thanks to you three for making our stay so special!

A truly unique and inspiring place that could not be found anywhere else. The house is a testament to thoughtful design and sustainability—an example for all to admire. We felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated during our stay, and it’s with heavy hearts that we return to the city. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

Where to begin! We were a group of 10 celebrating a birthday and engagement over 4 days, and I’m not sure we could have found something more perfect. :) In addition to the stay itself, Ana coordinated one day for some exploration in nearby Cuernavaca (the state capital of Morelos), and another day for a cooking class (along with poolside hangs and massages). Her staff is incredible and accommodating (we felt absolutely pampered); the rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and relaxing; the land/space itself is jaw-droppingly gorgeous; and my only wish is that we’d stayed a little longer to continue exploring Tepotzlán. We will no doubt find a way to return someday! :) Thank you so much again, Ana and crew!!! An amazing place. Not quite in the heart of centro but very walkable to good restaurants and parks. Comfortable beds, well decorated. Amazing touches like coffee, milk and fruit. Would happily stay again.

I cannot say enough about how amazing our week was at Marg’s casa! Our family of 6 plus our 2 yr old granddaughter stayed for 7 nights and it was perfect. Not only was she extremely helpful and responsive during the booking process and with all questions prior to arrival, our accommodations exceeded all expectations. The highlight of our stay was Carmen and Fidel. Fidel greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the home and how to operate things like air conditioner, tv, pool lights, etc. we had Carmen prepared breakfast and most dinners and these meals were by far some of the best meals we’ve had! She is an amazing cook and our family loved everything she prepared! The ceviche, guacamole, fresh fish tacos, chicken enchiladas, freshly squeezed orange juice, French toast, eggs, and literally everything was a 15 out of 10! It was an absolute pleasure to have her around! The property was beautiful and all rooms very clean. I wouldn’t change a thing and looking forward to going back!

Beautiful property with classic charm and lush gardens. We felt we were in our own private oasis. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable, clean, and pretty. Bring earplugs. The roosters start early and are relentless!

Excelente lugar sin duda alguna volvere, muy buena atención y todo lo que se menciona y la fotos, así está. Me sorprendió al abrir el refri y encontrar para almorzar y café😃.

Fantastic place, highly recommend! The location is great and the place is just very functional. I've stayed in so many airbnbs before that don't have their stuff figured out, but everything just works here :)

Loved our Xochi apartment we called home for a week during Dia de Muertos! The neighborhood was so nice and the walk to Centro and Jalatlaco was perfect. The apartment was very clean and private. The bed, shower and kitchen pristine and comfortable. Loved the comped breakfast right out the back door to the restaurant. Perfect! I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone staying in Oaxaca. Can’t wait to return!

Staying here was perfect for us. They were very helpful when we had trouble connecting to the internet. Everything was spotless and comfortable. The split for ac/heat was easy to use. The location was central and easily walkable throughout Centro and beyond. All in all a perfect stay in SMA!

What an awesome spot! This is such a great home base from which to explore the city. It was comfortable and cute with a good amount of space to spread out. We loved coming back to the flat after exploring all day and, in the event that we needed to run out for water or other essentials, everything was a quick jaunt away! Our favorite morning activity was grabbing a coffee (Quisamo was lovely!) and walking all around the area to hit the parks. We are so appreciative that Ian shared his place with us and we will be back!

Todo hermoso, el cuarto igual a las fotos, lo único si recomiendo tener medio de transporte ya que es algo largo el tramo de caminata, pero nada imposible. El desayuno riquísimo y los panes buenísimos. Estamos muy contentos con el servicio y las instalaciones!

Warm, welcoming hosts. Clean and felt completely at home. Looking forward to return visit. Having a private bathroom w shower a luxury at the price. Private key to room and home. Worth the wait for warm shower. Unique home with a real sense that you are in Mexico unlike most hotel hotel rooms. Breakfast with fresh fruit delightful. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a magnificent stay at Laura’s little paradise. It was absolutely fantastic. The room was charming and so authentically Mexican. Laura was a kind, responsive and gracious host. The breakfast was one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Mexico. The internet was exceptionally fast (over 100 mbps, ideal for remote work while traveling.) Our two dogs felt so welcome too. We loved it so much that we’re going back for another weekend in a few weeks. It has been the highlight of our winter vacation in Mexico.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place was so peaceful and relaxing—exactly what we were looking for. Thomas was incredibly kind and welcoming; he even took the time to make us breakfast, which was absolutely wonderful. This is definitely the perfect spot to unwind and escape the busy pace of everyday life. The beach is just a short distance away, and the city of Pérula is only a few minutes down the road. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing! We will definitely be coming back!

Mi tiempo en la casa de con Guillermo y Verónica fue muy especial. Como ya han mencionado muchos críticos anteriores, le tratan como familia. La ubicación es fantástica, especialmente si eres estudiante a The Spanish Experience Center. Verónica prepara el desayuno durante los días de semana y siempre es delicioso. Durante mi estancia, conocí y pasé tiempo con otros viajeros que se estaba quedando allí y eso me hizo muy feliz. Guillermo y Verónica me hablaron en español y eso fue útil para mi práctica del idioma. Como ya he mencionado, sí, hay mucho ruido de la calle, pero es menos durante la noche y el ventilador ayuda a cubrirlo. Dormí sin problemas. La habitación ofrece lo básico y le vendría bien una renovación. Así que, si necesita más, puede que este no sea el lugar para usted. En general, disfruté mucho de mi estancia y sin duda me quedaría aquí de nuevo.

Rancho El Parral was a beautiful traditional home in a great location. It was very clean with large spaces for everyone to hang out in - dining room, living room, patios, etc. The bedrooms were also large, each with its own bathroom, and the beds were very comfortable. It is located next door to both Rondo winery and the King & Queen restaurant - both are walking distance. The ladies that came each morning to cook us breakfast were great - very attentive and the food was delicious! Our group was very happy staying here.

I really enjoyed staying at Guillermo and Veronica's place for a few days. They were very hospitable. I really appreciated the lovely breakfasts they prepared - different every day. I happened to be there for New Year's Eve, and they invited all of us guests to join them for a New Year's dinner. With family, friends and guests there were over 20 people for dinner, and it was delicious. We then watched the fireworks together from the roof - Guillermo and his family's hospitality went above and beyond. The property itself is older, however they have made very nice improvements with electric door locks, A/C in the rooms, and flat screen TV's. My room was basic but very comfortable. I was very impressed with the hot water and water pressure (very good for Mexico). The street outside is very busy and can be noisy, but that's par for the course in Puerto Vallarta (earplugs helped me sleep like a baby). Overall I was very impressed and would be happy to go back.

Casa Frida is a wonderful place to stay. Guillermo and his staff were excellent, attentive hosts. Daily breakfast was delicious. The setting is very beautiful and peaceful with incredible scenic views of San Miguel and the surrounding countryside. I highly recommend staying here as a perfect way to have a quintessential San Miguel experience. You will not be disappointed!
