Michigan : séjours à la ferme

We took a short weekend trip north with our dog to enjoy the peak fall colors. Our stay at Bill's was great, and we appreciated it being pet friendly! His place was as described, very peaceful location with his horses and chickens as well as lots of visits from local wildlife. Bill was very accommodating and gave us lots of recommendations on things to do. His barn is very cool! There were nice trails within a short walking distance, just behind his property, and he's also only a few minutes outside of town. Short's Brewery is right in town. We did some day hikes around the area and around Old Mission Bay along the water as well. This would be a fun spot to return to . Thanks again Bill!

We were very fortunate to have found the Granary while looking for a place in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. We very much enjoyed the quiet of the countryside and appreciated its proximity to some of our favorite lake Michigan beaches. Bonnie was very welcoming and answered all of our questions before arrival. We will definitely consider a stay here again in the future

Adorable historic farmhouse with a fabulous kitchen for cooks. We spent Thanksgiving there, and my grown children were outside for HOURS each night, just loving the acreage. Everybody loved the place.

Tom and Kitty were excellent! The island is gorgeous and the beach area is perfect. The water does not get too deep which was wonderful for the kids and my sanity. Perfect spot for a family getaway! They allowed us to use their kayaks, canoe and swimming platform. Tom also put out children at play signs which was such a thoughtful touch. All together an unforgettable family experience. Just lovely!

Jeffrey's place was very cute. And was perfect for our quick stay. The place was clean and comfortable. It was pouring rain the whole time, but I could see that the yard was gorgeous. Also Fisher the dog was very welcoming and greeted us when we arrived and when we left.

Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodations, great hosts! We had an absolute blast and can't wait to go back.

Comfy Cozy cottage in the"woods" of Wyoming. The amount of woodwork and handmade items is amazing and makes it very lovely.

This was a special reunion with cousins from all over. The black barn was comfortable and we enjoyed having the comforts of home. We were able to see and hold the babies goats. Visit the store and get great meats and soaps. The Farm Mangers couldn’t have been more friendly. Very helpful! Hope to have other reunions again at Verdant Hollow Farms. Thank you The Braga Family

My wife and I celebrated new years with our 3 grandchildren, ages 5, 5 & 11 along with our son, his wife, our daughter and her husband. Accommodations were absolutely fantastic, sure to be the topic of happy memories made as a family throughout the coming year. To say this place is spectacular is an exaggerated understatement. The farm animals are so sweet, and just love people. Our grandkids adored them! Mark escorted us through the animal barn and gave us an introduction by name and personality to the sheep, goats, pig, cow, donkey and chickens. All are very well cared for and loved as pets. Back Inside, the wood burning stove and stone gas log fireplace provided a cozy atmosphere for country style dinner in the kitchen and dining area, followed up with games upstairs in the enormous loft with smart TV where we watched the ball drop in NY Time Square at midnight. We experienced exceptional service and deluxe accommodations - start to finish. Many Thanks to Mark and Callie!!

How do you sum it up in 1,000 characters. Beautiful. Clean. Attention to detail. Warm. Inviting. Welcoming. Peaceful. Saw the Best sunset I’ve ever seen. Wildlife. Safe. Secure. If you forgot it, she most likely already has it stocked in the loft for you. Comfortable. Dog friendly!! Kristin has thought of everything, stocking the loft with multiple flavors of coffee (both keurig and drip), tea, books for kids, board games, dog toys, dog treats, bath robes, it smells amazing all throughout (from entering the main door, all the way to inside the loft itself). Chalkboard table (creative and fun). You get a feeling of being right at home, like she is someone you can easily reach out to with whatever question you may have, with whatever request you may have. It’s a quiet calm environment. Location was easy to find. Plowed perfectly in winter. Good water pressure, long lasting hot water. Has dishes & paper plates, new fridge, nice stove. Microwave. Large deck. Highly recommend you stay here!

Jodi’s place was great for our weekend getaway to Holland. The home was so cozy and comfortable and we really enjoyed the fire pit!

Kathi was on site when we arrived, and was very friendly throughout the whole process, the place is spacious and overall a cute place, I love that it has a fireplace, plenty of towels, blankets and the use of items in her kitchen area and as an added bonus, if you like cats, they have an adorable black and orange hanging around (outside of course) with a beautiful tabby like farm cat. This place is perfect for families or just to getaway.

Great location. Lots of stars to look at and a great place for a fire. The hosts responded quickly to any questions. I would definitely go back.

The Chick's Roost was by far one of the most peaceful and convenient places we have ever stayed at. The surrounding area is so peaceful and quiet, located in the woods. Less than an hour from downtown Traverse City, it is perfectly located. The host literally has thought of what would be needed to live there, as that is how it came to be. The couple used it as a place to stay while building their home on the property. We will definitely be back soon.

This place is 5 minutes from Craig’s cruisers so we decided to stay here over a one room hotel that was similarly priced. There’s two big bedrooms and there’s a middle hall room that was perfect for our pack and play. We could watch TV in the living room without waking the kids. In the evening we enjoyed watching deer out by the trees and also in the morning. I was wondering about cleanliness since it’s pet friendly and was amazed by how clean this place was. Most of what we had to haul around for the littles was already provided allowing you to travel lighter. Also the girls loved all the kids books and games. If you have littles this is your place to stay.

Great weekend getaway with my two young kids and two pups. A perfect place for us to unwind in between our up-north adventures!

Really nice, clean, updated place. Easy check in and good communication. In many ways the kitchen was very well stocked, but missing random things like there were no bowls for example. Keep in mind the lofted bedroom ceiling is maybe 5 feet high, I don’t think any adult would want to use that space. For my purposes these issues were minor and I would stay again.

We had the best time! Very close to the ski resort and yet very private and cozy!

The property offered a greatly needed escape from city life. It was centrally located to Salt Lake and Lundington. The acreage was like a park for the dogs to run. It would be a great place to take kids to play. We especially loved these aspects of the property. We were able to relax around the fire pit after a long day on the dunes and being on the lake. Listening to nature and enjoying the stars was exactly what we needed. Getting back in touch with what really matters, the love of family and friends. A extraordinary revitalizing time with the natural surroundings. Deers were seen daily on the property. We enjoyed hearing the birds singing in the morning and crickets chirping at night. What a way to unwind from the big city life Cincinnati has. We will definitely come back to this property! Thank you Michael for allowing us this great experience.

The Flying Diamond ranch is such a special place! We loved everything about it, but especially spending time with/feeding the animals and taking long walks around the property. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Ashley and Rancher Tom!!
