Our stay at this beautiful lake house was lovely, Extremely comfortable, with everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was absolutely beautiful so crisp and clean. The beautiful big Deck out the back with the BBQ was great for afternoons after the beach for a lunch or dinner with the family. A beautiful big yard for the kids to play. A lovely walk to the jetty and water park just up the road. I will definitely be booking again for the future

Wonderful accommodation with amazing views. The house was very tastefully decorated and we felt very much at home. Lovely tranquil setting and lots of kangaroos and wallabies on the property. Hope to stay again one day.

Great place to stay, a shame it was only two nights

Stayed here with some friends of mine and we absolutely loved our stay! Scenery was stunning surrounding this hidden gem. Plenty of privacy to relax which was exactly what we were looking for! The place itself was super nice and clean inside. It had a lovely cozy atmosphere and everything we needed along to make this an enjoyable getaway. This lodge would be awesome during the winter! Margaret was also very friendly and responsive for any questions or help we needed. Would love to stay here again and my friends included. Truly recommend!

We loved the stay at Steve's place and it was very comfortable for a few group of families to have a relaxed time. Also it is a short drive to forster and nearby attractions.

Ashari's place is a wonderful, peaceful location close to all local amenities. It is a beautiful property that you can walk straight in and feel at home. The kitchen has everything you need to cater for the family and there was some nice touches such as fresh milk, juice and coffee beans. Ashari was proactive and super responsive with her communication. I would recommend her property for anyone looking for a family getaway in the area.

Our stay at Mount Rivers was lovely! Nathan and his wife Stephanie were really responsive and easy to get in contact with. The house was exactly how it was described. A very peaceful place and great for family gatherings.

I actually stayed in the studio due to the host giving me the option to change last minute. This was a great decision and i throughly enjoyed the view from the balcony. The room was a good size and had everything you need for a few nights! Bed was comfy and the host was welcoming. Would stay here again if I’m working in the area.

Great stay at Blueys. Can’t get much closer to the beach and just a minute walk to the shops and cafes. We had an awesome time thanks Vicki!

Such a beautiful place in an even more amazing location. Just a small stroll to the beach and shops which made it nice and easy for our young family. And it was an added bonus having a pool at the complex.

The place was gorgeous, peaceful with a stunning view. We would highly recommend visiting and staying at The Hay Shed! My partner and I were welcomed by not only Stella and Ian, but their pretty dogs Harley and Sasha; our pup did not feel left out. I would strongly recommend this place for couples looking for their city escape, and perhaps small families or groups too. The place had ample space and plenty of amenities. There is more space than what we had expected from the photos, and a covered area outside with chairs and bbq to top it off. The location was great, incredibly accessible with clear instructions from the host, you have Old Bar just a short drive away, and Forster and Taree a bit further out if you need something more. There are heaps of local businesses worth visiting too! All in all, great place, give it a visit!

We had lovely 3 nights stay surrounded by beautiful views

My partner Ryan and I stayed three nights at Sophie’s beautiful property. The cabin itself was spacious and very clean, Sophie was very accommodating and always available if we needed her. We thoroughly enjoyed lazing by the creek in the natural rock pool and were even lucky enough to see a platypus which was a real treat for us never having seen one in the wild before. There is plenty to see and explore on the farm but for the most part we simply enjoyed taking in the scenery and watching the animals. Highly recommend Sophie’s place and look forward to our next visit. -Isabella

Stayed here over Christmas Break with my little family (2 under 2years old) & they absolutely loved it. It was great to be away from the chaos of the city & to be in-tune with nature. Lots to do - Interested to know what's it's like in Winter xx

We had a lovely stay. Peaceful and private, awesome wildlife encounters one morning when 3 roos chilled out on the deck. The view is stunning. Appreciated the basic pantry, books, games, pool towels and tennis racquets.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! It was ideal for myself, my partner and our dog. The accomodation was perfect. Very clean, spacious and relaxing, with everything we needed. The resident horses were very friendly and came over to say hello each day. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed yard, which was surrounded in beautiful scenery. The location couldn’t be better. It was far enough out of town to enjoy the serenity, but also had multiple towns and villages within 15 minutes drive, including Black Head (quieter) and Forster/Tuncurry (large town). Helen was an excellent host - friendly and helpful. She left us a complimentary breakfast basket in the fridge which was a nice touch, and she was able to give us lots of local recommendations, particularly for dog friendly places. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. Lastly, great value for money. I would stay again if I’m back in the area. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough!

We had a great time. Louise from the start was helpful. Property is so beautiful and peaceful, away from civilisation I would say. Perfect getaway if you want to relax for a few days. House was clean and very cosy. Would definitely recommend and come back again ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at Sugarloaf. The cabin is very well maintained, decorated and came with all the special touches you’d want for a perfect stay. The spa, kangaroo food & provisions including muesli and jams were especially appreciated. The landscaping is also immaculate whilst also being very well integrated into the nature. You can tell the owners really care about this place, especially when you see some other cabins on the same street that are far less well maintained. The only thing that could be improved is to note in the listing that the tap water comes from a tank so has to be filtered before you can drink it. Tim did provide a jug filter but as we had a baby and toddler with us we had to bring a lot of bottled water for drinking / sterilising. He did let me know a couple of days beforehand which was good. Other friends of ours had the same situation in nearby cabins but weren’t told and that left them in a pickle as the shops are a long way away. We’d love to stay again!

The property is of a traditional farmhouse style with modern improvements. We had no issues at the house. Only difficulty was leaving the property due to the heavy rainfall overnight off the back of the recent cyclone. Thankfully we were able to get away with careful driving. Thx Team Kranbach. Would love to come again.

We had a beautiful 4 night stay with our 3 kids (age 7, 9 and 12 we bought a spare foam mattress as we were 5 people staying). Highlights were easy access to the pool which the kids were in 4 times a day, the wildlife and BBQ dinners al fresco. The lack of wifi was a plus for us as we were all needing some screen free time and the ability to let the kids get ‘bored’ so they could make their own fun, which they very much did. The nearest town of Dungog is very cute and we went to the IGA there to top up supplies and get marshmallows for the fire pit. The pies at the bakery there are also very good. Thanks for a great stay we all needed it.
