Lovely little cottage in a lovely area of the country. We were down to visit a friend and watch a local theatrical production but we also managed to do some walking in beautiful woodlands that were just a few minutes drive away. East Harling is a very pleasant walk away - but probably not at night - as part of the walk is on unlit roads with no pavements. Possibly a little unfairly, the location review was dropped a star for this. Mary was very friendly, responsive and provided comprehensive and accurate information. All-in-all it’s a lovely bright little cottage in a lovely tranquil location ….. I nearly forgot the hot tub - lovely touch - clean and a very welcome mode of relaxation.

We spent a lovely extended weekend at the barn visiting our family in Norfolk. The barn was clean, warm and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Jill and Phil were friendly and welcoming and check-in and check-out were easy. The super-king sized bed was comfy and the hot tub was an added bonus after a busy couple of days with the grandchildren.

Great relaxing weekend with the family, great place to stay with hot tub and fire pit, perfect for a spring short break.

Thankyou so much Henry & Anna for the most beautiful, magical stay at the bodney cottage! We celebrated my partners 30th & it was so special - the most peaceful, romantic place even better than the photos! Watched the shooting stars from the hot tub, the house was so cosy & warm with the fire place an absolute dream. The best air BnB we have ever stayed in & would be thrilled to visit again!! Couldn’t recommend enough, Thankyou! X

Everything we needed, enclosed garden for our dogs , fully equipped kitchen, big log burner with logs & kindling provided, hot tub. My wife really liked the wooden beams in the cottage. Andy was very helpful.

What a stunning property, everything you need and everything clean, perfect and very quiet. Highly recommended and would definitely come back.

Our first foray into a group holiday and no one was disappointed. When you arrive at the Cottage,immediately you feel at home safe and comfortable. The pics don’t really portray how cosy it is. The barn with its 3 in 1 games table is enormous fun and kept us boys entertained and out of the girls hair,while the log burner sets the scene for the evenings quieter fun. We had a really relaxing stay in this beautiful place with a stunning outdoor forest directly accessible through the large garden. A tastefully decorated house with interesting artefacts and ceramics. A great place for reading books, cooking and having fires outside in the fire pit. Super quiet and peaceful and a perfect place for rest and recuperation. Also a good location from which to explore forests and sights of Norfolk.

Ian and Angie were very hospitable, even allowing an early check in and later departure times. The house was clean and tidy with very clear instructions as to where and how to gain entry. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

This house is in stunning countryside surroundings. We we felt lucky to see all manniersims of local wildlife including a deer from the livingroom window. There are loads of walks from the doorstep. A car is needed to get to local points of interest and a supermarket/ pub etc. We went to Alburgh, StowMarket, Dunwich and Felixstowe beaches. All were lovely in their own way. We also visited the owl sanctuary and Thornham walks. I have mobility issues and found everywhere in the surrounding areas easy to navigate even when using my wheelchair. The stairs in the property I found more difficult as it is a cottage with steep stairs, however that was my error in not realising this when booking. The house is very comfortable and in winter I can imagine being soooo cozy! The owner of the house responded very quickly to some issues we had with the cleanliness of the house upon arrival and was more than fair in her solutions. I would 100% recommend Chloe and her beautiful house.

Wow, what a beautiful cottage. Had a fantastic stay. Marie the host was super helpful. The cottage itself has to be seen to be believed. So, as long you are fit and can cope with mountaineering the staircase (literally!) you will have a fantastic experience. Spotlessly clean, full of charm and very well equipped. Will definitely return ;)

We loved our stay here; both the house and garden are just beautiful. The house is super clean and tidy and has everything you need for a comfortable break. The kids thought the tiny doors were hilarious and loved having their own room with a 'secret' entrance! Thank you, would definitely recommend :)

Fantastic stay at Rookery Cottage. Super clean and comfortable. Fluffy towels and really fresh bed linen noted. Lovely welcoming touches from Kerry and Adam. Beautiful location with pubs walkable distance. Easy to get to Aldeburgh and Southwold with a car. Framlingham is a must for Detectorists nuts like us! Gorgeous weather meany we were able to enjoy our first Suffolk trip in all its glory! Thank you Kerry and Adam x

A very clean and tidy house in a beautiful location, with good access to the surrounding points of interest. Would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful bolt-hole away from everything including the internet with stunning marsh views and dark skies. To see Marsh Harriers was wonderful. Wood burner kept us cosy and the enclosed garden was heaven for our dog. Walks to the two pubs in Surlingham (one at Coldham Hall closed during the week off season) and easy drives into Norwich and surroundings. An outdoor shooting club right next door operates on Thursday am and Sunday mid-morning so you may want to plan to be out then - large red flags show when it is happening. At other times it is SO peaceful. We stayed for 10 days and began to miss a bath and washing machine, but not a problem for shorter stays. Old Hall Farm Shop at Woodton, the Wildebeest at Stoke Holy Cross and the new Michelin star at Caistor Hall as well as foodie Norwich mean eating out possibilities are endless. Pip left delicious eggs from her own hens.

A perfect stay! Very lovely, clean cottage. Perfect to stay with a dog. Small shop opposite the house so very convenient if you forgot something and don’t want to drive to the big shop. There is also a lovely farm-shop nearby. It was very peaceful and quiet. Perfect relaxing gateway. Only 3 miles to Southwold (it took us 10 mins to get there by car). It was very comfortable, we stayed as a couple with a medium size dog. There is also some garden furniture, so you can have a lovely meal in the garden! Tom was very helpful, I got a flat tire on the way to the cottage and he recommended a garage to get it fixed, was super speedy and they were very flexible. Will definitely be back! Would highly recommend!

I stumbled Accross this Airbnb quite by chance and I was blown away. I have now visited over and over again because the location is close to family. I always feel right at home. The cottage has everything I need for my stay, plus the hosts make it super cozy and welcoming with afternoon tea on arrival (I live for those scones) a fire at the ready to create ambiance and warm the living area, plus some bubbly and amazing coffee to relax with. I travel from the US so these details upon arrival make me feel very welcome.

We had a lovely short stay. The property was ideally located for walking to both the town and sea and we had no need to use car. It was thoroughly cleaned for our arrival and Jo even let us park early whilst she was getting it ready.

Lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Had everything we needed for a great stay! Enjoyed seeing the pheasants wander past the window! We drove to Orford Ness, which was well worth a visit, did a walk in beautiful Rendlesham Forest and would highly recommend the Unruly Pig for dinner (vegetarian tasting menu was top notch!) — responsive and friendly hosts — we didn’t cross paths much while there but they seemed lovely when we did and although the cottage is next to the main house, it didn’t feel too overlooked. We really enjoyed the quiet and the views from the cottage across the fields. Would definitely recommend!

This was our second stay at Ruth’s and it was as lovely as we remembered. Ruth is a wonderful host. Her cottage is comfortable with everything you need for a fab stay (including very comfortable bed, quality bed linen and fluffy towels) and a very pretty garden space. The lovely fresh bread and milk on arrival was most welcome. We would absolutely recommend Ruth’s cottage to all.

My partner and I stayed here for Christmas and we had the best time. We were greeted on arrival by Feri and when we entered the cottage it was spotless and had everything we needed. Feri and Steve were very friendly and attentive and responded quickly if we had any questions. Would highly recommend visiting here and we will gladly book again soon.

We always enjoy are stay here and are happy to keep returning. It meets all our needs.

We had a lovely stay at puffin cottage. The location is excellent for exploring southwold and enjoying the beach. Em’s place is beautiful - spotlessly clean, easy check in and with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.
