Mid Sussex District : séjours à la ferme

We had a lovely stay here, my partner was doing a weekend course at Sussex Green Woodworking and this was a perfect place for us to stay, just 4 minute drive away. The location is peaceful and beautiful, and we enjoyed having coffee with the noise of horses and chickens nearby. Nice restaurants nearby, would especially recommend Poco Wine about 15 mins drive away. Would definitely be back to explore more of the natural beauty in the area.

Staying at this charming countryside home was an absolute dream.Tucked away in a peaceful village,the house offers breathtaking views of open green fields trees stretching as far as the eye see. It’s beautiful clean,quiet and peaceful.we absolutely come back again.

Melanie was an amazing host and this is the most idyllic getaway from the city. Perfect without a car as it’s easy to walk everywhere. Will definitely be back

Jenny & Lisa both responded really quickly to messages and proactively sent really useful extra info on how to get there so we arrived stress free! Lovely barn conversion in beautiful countryside. Very clean & tidy throughout & as described. Perfect base for us to explore nearby attractions. Excellent local & wider recommendations in the info book with OS Map for walks if needed. This AirBnB was perfect for what I needed it for. Close to Goodwood, quiet and accommodating. Clare is an extremely friendly host, quick in responding and very easy to talk to. Certainly would seem like the person who would go that extra step should it be needed. But that wasn’t needed in my stay as the place was good for what I needed.

A recent stay at The Old Dairy couldn’t have been more welcome! Gill is a brilliant, attentive host and incredibly helpful with directions to the property, which is located close to Surrey Hills and plenty of beautiful walking routes. The property itself offers peace and comfort, off the beaten track and perfect for any length of stay. Complete with amenities as described, The Old Dairy is great for a countryside escape. Would very much recommend!

We had a fabulous weekend at the Piggery, it was the perfect getaway for a bit of relaxation and chill time. We loved everything about it, clean ,tidy with all the amenities we needed. The outside seating areas to enjoy the sunshine looking over the meadow were stunning . Thankyou for a great stay we would definitely return for another break.

We really enjoyed Rose Cottage and felt Colette went out of her way to make us welcome. The grandchildren were disappointed they only got to stay one night! Interesting and individual property in lovely surroundings. Sorry we didn't have more time to explore the area on the doorstep.

We stayed for a couple of days at Lottie’s barn with my parents and 1y old. We really had an amazing time. The house is cosy and very well equipped. The quiet setting just next to the meadows ensures for a peaceful night’s sleep. The barn is ideally situated to explore the surroundings; lots of national trust properties to discover; Lewes and Brighton are within easy reach and also for the little ones there’s a lot that the area has to offer! Highly recommend Lottie’s place for a little countryside escape!

Sophie & Ed were absolutely amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Their Barn is beautifully designed and set out, it is comfortable and had everything and more in it that I needed for a four night stay. The location was a 2 min drive from where I needed to be so it was perfect for travelling to and fro and lovely to come back to after a long day to rest in. Thank you.

We had a fantastic stay at the Barn. It’s quite gorgeous and has everything you might need. It was just the perfect place to get away for a few days and celebrate a big birthday. Ingela was so helpful and the goodies that were there when we arrived were really appreciated. We had some fantastic walks, all from the Barn, the dog is exhausted! The countryside is just beautiful. The pool table was a huge hit too. I highly recommend at stay, we’ve made some fabulous memories here. Ingela is a great host and has lots of recommendations. We would love to stay again.

A lovely weekend break in the beautiful barn. The house was perfect for 8 friends with plenty space for us all, a garden with incredible views and a welcome hamper of goodies. Would highly recommend.

We have just come back from a lovely weekend stay at the barn - we just wanted a quick get away from London and it was everything that we asked for and more! Matthew and Claire were super helpful and clearly take pride in the barn! Thank you very much for having us!

Thank you for a really fantastic stay! Guy’s Airbnb is truly exceptional - wonderful garden, beautifully furnished and fully equipped space, set right next to the magnificent Black Down. A great base for walks and enjoying a break from the city. Communication was straightforward and some essentials in the fridge and cake left for guests on arrival were a very thoughtful touch. We are already looking forward to coming back!

Very happy with our choice of the Cottage, very close to our own properties , so more than likely we will try and stay there again not because what i just said but its so peaceful as well and that is very important to us as a family, it also contained all and more desirable amenities you need. Perhaps if there is something I would add to the cottage service I personally would in a hot day of a guest arriving,( like us) I would make sure to leave the windows upstairs open to create a cooler ambience . When we arrived ( end of the day) it was just like in Dubai -) very hot! Many thanks

A really beautiful and such a peaceful setting. Nicole was so welcoming. The cottage was exceptional, but it was all those special extras that made it stand head and shoulders over other Airbnbs. We arrived to a wonderful hamper, with a homemade cake, there was bread, butter, biscuits, fruit juice, eggs from Nicole’s chickens. Lovely bunch of roses in a vase, gave our whole experience that bit of extra love Everywhere was spotless. The television was a good size, with plenty of channels. Also, there were plenty of plug sockets. For me personally, the horses and dogs were a huge bonus for me. We’ll be back 😉

Just fab, very walkable to the town and tonnes of taxis to get to the house easily. Only downside is the short walk on the main road with no path

Μείναμε απόλυτα ευχαριστημένοι με τον χώρο της Janet και του Anthony. Αρχικά, το οίκημα, παρότι μικρό, είναι έξυπνα σχεδιασμένο, ανακαινισμένο, καθαρό και πολύ λειτουργικό. Τα έπιπλα και οι χώροι είναι όμορφα, και μοντέρνα. Το μπάνιο είναι πολύ καθαρό, όμορφα σχεδιασμένο, υπάρχει συνέχεια ζεστό νερό και είναι πολύ χαλαρωτικό. Τέλος και κυριότερα, η κα. Janet, που μας υποδέχθηκε, εκτός από το ότι είναι μία πολύ ευχάριστη κυρία, είχε την σπάνια πρόθεση να εξοπλίσει το σπίτι με όλα σχεδόν τα σκεύη αλλά και προϊόντα που θα χρειαζόμασταν σχεδόν για όλη την διαμονή μας. Αναφέρομαι σε προϊόντα πρωινού (δημητριακά, βούτυρο, μαρμελάδα, τυριά, χυμό κ.α.) και μια σειρά άλλες μικρές κινήσεις που δείχνουν ότι ήθελε ο επισκέπτης να νιώσει σαν στο σπίτι του και όχι ότι απλά μισθώνει έναν χώρο για μερικές μέρες. Ήταν μια πολύ όμορφη κίνηση. Το χωριό είναι επίσης ονειρικό με πολύ καλούς ανθρώπους. Θα ξαναπάμε σίγουρα, αν μας δοθεί η ευκαιρία και το συστήνουμε οπωσδήποτε. Πολλούς χαιρετισμούς!

Where do I start?! Clair was the perfect host! Although the piggery is attached to the family home, it is still private and secluded! Shortly after check in Clair came to introduce herself to see if everything was okay and even have a few recommendations! The piggery is surprisingly spacious compared to the pictures. The whole place was spotless! The hot hub is perfect for 2! Not cramped and perfectly cosy! Scenery was fab, the clouds held off and we even managed to enjoy a picturesque sunset on the first night! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Lovely weekend at Long Stable. Andrew welcomed us very warmly, ensuring we were settled in once we arrived. Beautiful location, secluded, peaceful and incredibly quiet. Hard to access without a car, but perfect if you want to get away from it all. The barn itself was bright and clean, and the underfloor heating gave a nice ambient warmth. Lighting the wood burner made things really warm - wood, kindling and eco-friendly fire lighters were all provided with clear operating instructions. Bedrooms were comfortable, located at either end of the barn, with bathrooms next door. French doors from every room open out onto a sunny patio with uninterrupted views of surrounding countryside. Kitchen was well equipped and we found it very homely to eat in. Good base for exploring local area. Hastings 30 mins. Farleys House & Gallery (30 mins), a personal highlight, along with Michelham Priory (which you can do in one day with a bit of planning). Great host + lovely location = wonderful weekend.

Perfect stay! Alison and her husband are lovely people who were very helpful during our stay, easy check in and welcomed with some wine and biscuits 🍪 The barn is lovely with all the kitchen essentials you would need, lovely comfortable bed and board games. Loved the sheep view from the bedroom window, great powerful hot shower and good WiFi. The place was easily accessible we just had an issue with our maps but one quick call to Alison and she came out in the rain to find us. Great location, 25 minute drive to the Seven Sisters car park, walking distance to the pub just down the road. Will definitely be returning

This is the third time we have stayed with Barrie as it’s convenient for local craft courses that we attend. Every time it is spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Barrie is a great host and more than happy to help when we have needed help.
