My husband, myself and our son and daughter in law rented Dave & Melissa’s home to celebrate my 50th birthday. I was not looking forward to turning 50 but it was such a wonderful time. I LOVE their home. It was beautifully decorated with everything we needed. Sitting on the front porch listening to the waves crash was so relaxing. We had dinner on the deck every evening. It seemed so private and peaceful. Nice furnishings even outside. Perfect for our fur babies and us. The boat landing is just a couple miles away which is really nice and convenient. We will definitely be visiting again when the weather is warmer and we can have fun in the water. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home 💜

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

This was a homey, private and pet-friendly stay right on the beach! Perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway. Dave & Melissa were extremely communicative and easy hosts to work with. I would stay here again!

Beautiful views! Very peaceful. We enjoyed every moment, from waking up seeing the water to watching sunsets from the dock! We loved the grill and hot tub area! Had a blast!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Stay – Highly Recommend! I had an incredible stay at the lazy oyster! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless. The check-in process was smooth, and the space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described.

Richard was very responsive and kind, he worked with us on a flexible check out time. The spot is an incredibly peaceful getaway.

The house was beautiful with great views to the surrounding marsh and river. The gaming shed is a great touch and includes heaters and an AC unit, depending on the season. Good size fire pit and plenty of fire wood and fire starters (under sink). We enjoyed exploring the surrounding woods and fishing off the dock. Everywhere was well stocked, including plenty of spare items in case anything was forgotten. The house was clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our time there.

We loved Marla & Will’s place. The house was clean, the kitchen had all the tools to prepare a meal, plenty of towels,comfy beds. The views were beautiful from the front porch, we used the kayaks and had my children play at the little beach that was available on low tide, my children played in the water, we only saw one jellyfish. We also did some fishing, used the crab trap, did not get any crabs but it was still a fun activity for my children ! We also found oysters in one of the beaches that appear on low tide. Also, we appreciated the storybooks for children, toys, bed rail guard and highchair. For grocery shopping we used Food Lion, the Little River seafood gourmet, and Jeff Country Market. We also ate at Reedville Market and it was delicious. Overall, it was a great stay and we can’t wait to go back !

This place was perfect for what we were looking for! We will certainly be booking again when we come back.

I enjoyed my stay at this location while I was working in the area. The house was very clean and had a great view of the river. I loved the area and all of the amenities that she had in the home. Would definitely return.

My parents and I stayed here for four days. It was the perfect peaceful getaway for us. The place was really cute, two bedrooms with queen size beds, a large bathroom, and the cutest kitchen-living room area. Gloucester is a sweet town to hang out in, and the host gave some great recommendations for local places to check out. Wonderful place, we will be coming back!!

FILLED WITH MOMENTS OF AWE & WONDER. This property is chalked full of experiences to fill your soul. The house is lovely with sweeping views of the Chesapeake Bay, the rooftop deck provided incredible stargazing and the surrounding marsh was the perfect stop over for Eagles, American kestrels, bufflehead ducks and large flocks of snowy egrets. Lots of area's to explore from the water. We chose to paddled around Thicket's Point and explored the waters of Matchotank creek. We'll be back, over and over.

We had a great time at Mary Catherine's place! She was an excellent and responsive host, and allowed for flexible check in and check out which was very helpful to our group. The cottage was clean and cozy, and we felt right at home. I will also add that I am very sensitive to mold and environmental toxins and always have to be careful when staying in new places. This cottage felt pretty safe for my allergies. Would definitely recommend!

Gina’s cottage is a little slice of heaven overlooking a beautiful stream and lake. Very private and wonderful for our two dogs who ran free and had the time of their lives..

We booked this beautiful beachfront home for my husband's birthday, and it was perfect. Check-in was seamless, and the breathtaking water view greeted us upon entry. The house was spotless and peaceful, with only the soothing sound of waves. We enjoyed most meals in the sunroom overlooking the water and took advantage of the outdoor seating as the weather warmed. Fawn, a great coffee and breakfast/lunch spot, was just five minutes away. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook fresh seafood from Little River Seafood. Mornings were magical with stunning sunrises, and the nearby beach access was perfect for walks, yoga, and birdwatching. A highlight was Hughlett Point, a hidden nature preserve 30-40 minutes away, leading to a secluded beach with only 11 parking spots. Thank you for sharing your home—it made for a peaceful and unforgettable celebration!

This house was a great place to stay. Everything was in perfect order and the location was excellent. I had one question during my stay and they were immediately available to help and were super friendly.

This place was wonderful! Beautiful water view in a lovely neighborhood. Great environment to reconnect with old friends and everything you could want available. Highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved staying here! We brought our boat along, the marina is within walking distance and even though we got rained out, coming back to this house made our weekend stay well worth it.
