Our family loved our stay in John's home on the point. The view from all the large windows in every room is spectacular. Morning coffee on the patio overlooking the water. Osprey and eagles. Sunsets and sunrises on the deck at the mouth of the Rappahannock River as it pours into the Chesapeake Bay. Everything is comfortable, cared for and esthetically pleasing. All the rooms are airy and spacious. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and a delight to cook in. John thought of everything to make our stay easy. We hope to stay there again.

This is a really charming small house, the perfect size and with just the right amenities for a relaxing getaway to recharge. It's so beautiful, quiet and peaceful and was just what was needed to have a much needed weekend break.

Beautiful home and property! Very clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything we needed—extra towels, paper products, toiletries, and kitchen essentials. The large bedrooms, comfortable beds and stunning views of the water and night sky made for a peaceful retreat for a family of 6. Thoughtful touches, like candles and lighters, hand soaps in every bathroom, and extra cleaning supplies were much appreciated. The host was kind, communicative and accommodating, making our experience even more special. Located on a very “country road” that turns off deeper into “the woods” to get there! Very dark at night! Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Morgan’s place is beautifully peaceful. We arrived to a toasty (little heater) welcome inside with soft music playing in the background. Which was just what we needed considering we had driven in the cold rain to get there. If you’re looking for a place to unplug, unwind or regroup, this “lil camper that could” can do just that. The sunrises and sunsets next to the water were amazing. It was blustery cold one of the nights we stayed but we didn’t feel it a bit. There are plenty of nature trails within a short driving distance and plenty of beach to take quiet strolls by or just sit and drink your morning coffee. My guy who is over 6 ft tall and I, being close to it, were very comfortable as well as our full grown Great Dane. The wash room was only a couple of steps away. We didn’t use the stove but we brought up enough frig foods to sustain us for an extended weekend. All and all this lil camper was worth every penny and gave us some much needed relaxation.

Sadia’s home on the river is a beautiful home in a very private and serene location. The house has been beautifully renovated for today’s comforts but it oozes with historical charm. The bedrooms worked out well for our needs for 5 adults. The house had a large kitchen for gathering, a cozy den for board games, a screened in back porch, and a lovely dock to sit by the water. We also enjoyed the fire pit while taking in the amazing stars. It really is such a special location. Kilmarnock is not too far away and offers shops snd restaurants but be aware that most businesses are closed on Sunday so do your town exploring on Saturday. We did run into a major plumbing issue upon our arrival. Sadia was extremely responsive and had a contractor at the house within an hour. Unfortunately the issue was not easily resolvable during our stay so we had limited water usage. Sadia was very easy to work with and we received a credit for our stay. It is truly a lovely home with a wonderful host.

This is our 2nd time to come and will absolutely come back. Johnathan was so helpful and communicative. The house was a perfect getaway for us.

My friends and I had a wonderful long weekend at the Deltaville Blue Cottage. The house perfectly showcased the views, fresh breezes, and natural beauty of the area. We were continually saying " the hosts thought of everything!" If you are looking to comfortably relax with friends and family (young and old) this is the place for you! Our family absolutely loved the tranquility of being right on the water, the home was decorated perfectly and very clean. This is a true gem in Deltaville!

Great house to stay. Very clean. Golf cart is a must. Don't have to walk anywhere. We will stay here again or maybe his other house on the island. 😁
