Midigama Beach : locations de vacances adaptées aux familles

The place was lovely, right on the river front and absolutely peaceful. Its also very close to the beach and we would definitely recommend the place. Somehow the tuktuk price around the area were pretty outrageous, so if you have a rented or owned vehicle, it’ll make things a lot easier but that’s not on the host, they were absolutely amazing.

Great responsive host, Jeewantha and his wife were very helpful. Beautiful villa by the river only minutes walk to the beach. The apartment is a good size with a beautiful balcony and big windows and faces a lovely garden and river. You can walk, crossing the train tracks, to a nice beach where you can swim have nice fruit and juices and surf. The apartment also has a fridge and stuff to cook, great for a family. We love it and recommend to others.

The villa is in a beautiful surroundings, overlooking a rice field. The villa is very spacious with swimming private pool. We thouroughly enjoyed out stay here. Christa was very helpful. The helper onsite is really very helpful, and responsive. Only negative I would say is it was far from attractions and main city. Beach is around 4 kms and getting a transport here is a challenge. Booking vehicles in advance to move around could help. The approach road is narrow around 100 mts from the main road.

One of our all-time favourite accomodations, from over 40 countries visited. What we loved: - falling asleep with the sound of waves, which was perfect (not too loud, not too low) - our mornings and sunsets on the terrace of the building - the location inside the forest, and on top of the cliffs - nature all around us, with nice fauna (varan, monkeys, peacocks, small birds) visiting us. Don’t worry, there is nothing dangerous, they avoid people - The access to the cliff which is just a couple of steps away from the villas. Very good place for sunsets and meditation after - The pool is really nice for relaxing swimming at the end of the day - Near 2 beaches : Jungle beach (amaaaazing place) and Unawatuna beach, also very nice - Small cozy restaurants just outside the villas - A lot of space inside, very comfortable beds & pillows - The host and personnel are top-notch. Hospitality at next level. It was my wife’s 25th birthday and they helped us make it memorable. Great experience!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for three months. We had a wonderful time here. Dharme and his wife are very friendly. They tried their best to make it as comfortable as possible for us. We would definitely recommend this place.

The place is just beside a lake, it's very quite, and the host is very helpful and amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at O2 Villa. Jeewanthi was a wonderful host and did everything he could to make our stay more comfortable. He met our driver on the road to guide us to the property. It’s off the main road and tricky to find initially but it’s a blessing as the property is a peaceful oasis away from the noise of the roads and town. There is a train track running nearby but we barely heard it and it passes very quickly. Look both ways when crossing the tracks and the road. The bathroom is large and very clean with plenty of hot water - one of the best we’ve experienced since arriving in India a month ago. The air conditioning works perfectly and is very quiet. A necessity in Sri Lanka for us northerners. The wifi is the best we’ve had in a month. We only used the kitchen to prepare fruit and snacks and it was adequate for that. Fruit and water can be bought from a lovely lady on the main road 150 metres from the apartment. The beach is a ten minute walk across the tracks and main road and is almost deserted. There is a small beach bar with chairs when you arrive at the beach and for the price of a drink you can stay as long as you want. They like everyone else on the beach are offering surf lessons as well. When we return to Sri Lanka we will be sure to stay at O2 Villa.

Moss Villa was more than just a home for our family for 3 weeks! It was just perfect. We had a happy time in this spacious bright clean tranquil green place with its large garden & brilliant pool. So relaxing, so private, so exotic. The well equipped kitchen is great (only a toaster is missing). It’s not too far from town (15 mins walk) & only a scooter or TukTuk ride away from the beaches. We loved the big porch, watching monkeys, peacocks, birds, fire flies & lizards… The pool gets cleaned twice a week & a weekly clean keeps the villa super tidy & the beds/towels fresh! Our 10 year old daughter loved jumping in the pool & we loved the sun loungers. It is such a quiet space in the jungle. We spent more time there than on the beach, as it was so relaxing. Highly recommend this wonderful villa! We will try & book again next year! Already missing our Moss Villa! Thank you for making our stay so unforgettable! 🙏

Vi bodde i huset i sex veckor och gladdes mycket över generösa utrymmen överlag. Huset är väl placerat med gångavstånd till många olika restauranger och barer. Avståndet till stränder är något längre, ca 1,5 km. Personalen tog väl hand om oss och var lyhörda för eventuella önskemål. De kunde ordna transporter av skilda slag och hjälpte till med allt vi undrade över. En i personalen kunde mot en mindre ersättning laga underbart god lankesisk mat som vi åt i den stora matsalen med plats för åtta personer. Poolen överraskade oss, den är finare än som framgår av bilderna. Ett litet minus är att trädgården runt huset är liten och utsikten från poolen är en mur. På muren kunde man ibland se apor och ekorrar och på gräsytorna spankulerade påfåglar. AC finns i sovrummen men ingen sådan i sällskapsutrymmen vilket ibland gör dessa svåra att använda. Köket är mycket basic. Ugnen som anges i beskrivningen finns i personalköket men den kunde vi använda.

We stayed at the villa for 5 nights 6 days. Firstly the caretakers Amila & Madara are the show stoppers who are friendly and approachable for anything you need. They speak good English and are knowledgeable about tourist activities and proactively help you plan your day. We were 5 adults (grandparents, parents & an uncle) with 2 small boys (4.5 years and 1 year old) and occupied all of the villa. The kids enjoyed running around the garden and my elder boy became friends with Amila's daughter of similar age to play with! The swimming pool was the best escape during hot summer afternoons to cool down since it's covered with greenery on all sides! Breakfast and other meals were served at the dining table under a fan cooled gazebo near the pool. Breakfast always had more varieties than we asked for to cater to all our needs! We loved the home cooked meals we ordered! The hosts were very responsive and accommodating! Early check in was granted and breakfast prepared upon arrival!

Dès le portail, on est subjugué par la beauté des lieux. Je confirme la véracité des autres commentaires laissés par les précédents voyageurs. J'ajoute qu'en plus de toutes les qualités de cette villa, JC a pris le soin de prévoir notre arrivée pour que tout corresponde à notre attente. Des boissons, des fruits ont été achetés à notre demande (avec justifs à rembourser bien entendu). Ainsi, nous n'avons eu qu'à profiter. L'équipe de la Maison est aussi une des raisons de notre recommendation pour cette villa . Nous 6 adultes, restont encore émus par cette paranthèse qui ressemble au PAradis sur terre. De plus, en 30 mn à pied en traversant la campagne, nous arrivons sur les plages de Talpe où des petits beach clubs nous accueillent pour un bon moment à la plage et contempler les tortues dans leur milieu sans touristes pour les traumatiser. bref que du bonheur. Je reviendrai si je passe par Galle et sa région. encore merci JC.

I have stayed in many Airbnbs, and I am very picky when it comes to finding the right place. Honestly, after our stay, I feel a bit sad… because I know it will be impossible to top this experience! We had an absolutely dreamlike stay at this stunning beachfront Airbnb. From the very first moment, we felt like we were staying with friends – Bianca, Dasun and Dinu were incredibly warm, attentive, and took care of everything around the clock. Not only did they drive us around Weligama and Mirissa, but they also shared great local tips and made sure we experienced the real Sri Lanka. Early check-in was no problem at all for them, and throughout our stay, they thought of every little detail. The house itself is perfect – clean, comfortable, and with a breathtaking location right by the ocean. We can only highly recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat! 5 out of 5 stars aren’t enough! Thank you for a heart full of memories and beautiful moments from this unforgettable time

All in all we had a great time there! The train that passes close by the property so if you are a light sleeper it’s probably not the best, but for us it was perfectly fine. Everything was clean and we got even more than we expected. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Damith’s place was way better than we expected! Stayed here for two nights and it was very comfortable, near Weligama and Mirissa (we had our own scooter, but if you don’t, you can reach these cities easily by tuk tuks). Had AC, clean private kitchen, small private patio, clean bathroom and they provided us really good breakfast for free! Well maintained surroundings, cozy and has everything you could need. Communication was also proactive and friendly, hosts are so hospitable! Felt like at home. Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful house and garden. We felt totally at home, and so well looked after. There is a caretaker who lives in a house on the grounds so you have the peace of mind that there is someone there should you need anything and he keeps the place secure. We also had a team come every morning at whatever time we wanted to make us the most amazing breakfast- pancakes, waffles, fruit, roti, dahl, eggs, tea etc. It was a 10 min walk to the shops and beach and easy to grab a tuk tuk back when we wanted. Air con was great. Pool was beautiful. Monkeys and peacocks entertained us in the morning. Can’t fault the place.

Merveilleux séjour en famille !! La villa est exceptionnelle, la situation est parfaite, a proximité de restaurants et dans le quartier résidentiel de Mahdia a Mirissa ( a mon avis, le meilleur endroit pour séjourner). La présence d'Indika durant le séjour rend le séjour mémorable. extrêmement gentil, attentionné et discret il lui tient a cœur que les voyageurs puissent passer un séjour d'exception. Grâce a ces conseils et son aide durant le séjour nous avons pu nous relaxer et profiter au maximum de nos vacances en famille. Merci encore Indika !! Bella et Gaston les deux chiens de la maison sont également très discrets et sympathiques. Bref, Tout était parfait

Sunil was the best host we had in Sri Lanka. We were welcomed with fresh and cooled coconuts. He and his colleagues were super friendly and the accommodation was even better than expected. During the tasty breakfast, we were even able to see the turtles in waves.

My husband and I stayed with Jacky & Igmar for 1 month. We loved our stay. We are fitness swimmers so their 25 metre 6 lane pool was a delight and a big draw for us. We often swam several times per day. They were great hosts. If you needed something and couldn’t find it, Jacky would either point us in the right direction or provide it for us herself. For example, we wanted good bread. Well, Jacky makes a truly great & healthy loaf of bread. We were so impressed! Also they rent out a couple of scooters so it’s just so easy with Jacky at SCGalle. We loved living in a local neighbourhood that was close to everything, yet far enough away that it was very peaceful. In fact, we were right next to a buddhist temple that certainly added to the peaceful atmosphere. From our deck we often saw many different colourful birds and playful monkeys. And we can’t forget to mention, Rex, Jacky & Igmar’s lovable dog. We will definitely stay with them again. Reid & Monica 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der einzigartigen Unterkunft von Vincent! Die Unterkunft war sogar noch schöner auf den Bildern und der Pool war das Highlight. Wir haben alle Möglichkeiten genutzt , zb die Massage nebenan und auch das Frühstück und Abendessen. Alles war spitze! Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder :)

Our family of four absolutely loved Cecilia’s house. It is located in the middle of the paddy fields with lots of nature and wild life to enjoy. During our three day stay we saw peacocks, fireflies, giant lizards, squirrels, monkeys and a giant spider! Just be warned that there are also many mosquitos in the house so bring your bug spray. Cecilia’s staff were also very attentive who prepared us nice Sri Lankan dishes for breakfast and dinner. They made our kids separate western dishes. Thank you Cecilia!

Amazing stay with the most wonderful staff. Thank you so much to Indi, Kelum and Anil for taking such good care of us. We stayed for over a month and we were made to feel at home for the whole stay. The garden and pool area is so relaxing, the view from the kitchen and dining area is lovely and the location is ideal. Could not recommend Ebb and Flow enough. Thank you again to all of the team! x
